Ahh, sonata N line is a great car as well. From my understanding, most of the n lines are just appearance packages, if they ever made a full blown N, I’d be down to get it. I have seen a rendering of the Tucson N, Santa Cruz Z, and palisade N. I wonder if they’ll ever come through with it
@@RobTheNthusiast that’s what I had thought about the Sonata N line till I read more on it and drove it and it does have added power. The standard - Limited trims have 180HP, while the N line gets an insane 290HP 2.5 turbo. If you thought the Kona N and EN Wheel spin is bad, you gotta experience the Sonata 🤣. Has way too much power for its own good, would’ve been great to have a AWD. It’s a trade off, I miss the active exhaust and sporty feel of the EN. Tho you’re right like the Kona N, the EN showed its economy roots and over time (especially in these horrible Florida roads) the plastic all over the interior of the EN would creek and tap/ vibrate, making it an annoying ride when I just want to have a quiet ride. Vs, the sonata does have better build quality all around, a pano moon roof etc. while still being fun to drive when you need/ want it to be and also surprisingly great MPG for its class.
@@TheGamingDead14 lol oh I’ve driven the sonata N line before, that and K5 GT both needs an LSD REALLY badly! Fortunately SXTH element has a lower motor Mount for that car now. You can remove that feature to reset fuel economy when you just refuel. You can set it to manual in the settings, I had the same cornering problem and it resetting.
If you’re in comfort/eco, it’s a little stiff but tolerable, sport mode gets really stiff, N mode gets intolerable over bumps and honestly slows your acceleration at times if the road is bad enough

The Pirelli's are only going to be good until 45 degrees according to their specs. Doesn't shock me that you were losing traction in freezing temps and the tires could possibly have been damaged. Definitely not a well thought out move by Hyundai to have those on it where it's being sold in areas with colder weather. I have been able to get away with Continental summer tires on my 2011 Mazda 3s for as long as I've owned it here in southern California, but I am conscious about ambient temp and making sure to take it easy if drops below their threshold.
Yeah it definitely was an odd move, they could at least made sure it was a decent summer tire that can do alright in the cold. I sometimes wish I lived in Cali so I wouldn’t have to worry about tires and temps lol
They made the car track ready right from the gate.I plan on putting all season 245s on it when they wear out and because they will be wider i should still have the handling and better comfort and all around tires. The Kona N has big wheelwells and could take a littany of tires to adjust the ride.Elantra N sits too low and the tires you can get are limited cause it already fills up most of the wheelwell.

What’s funny and disappointing is that there is a Tucson N line, I looked into it after my EN got totaled and was very disappointed that it was just an appearance package for the US, while the N line Tucson outside the US had added performance with a Turbo. I really wanted to like the car but driving it was very underwhelming. So I settled for the Sonata N-Line
And yeah the EN/KN are definitely built cheaper than the Sonata N line. I haven’t had any rattles but I absolutely hate the plastic all over the car. Mazdas and Hondas are the same price and have almost luxurious interiors lol
I'm in southern Ontario, and I totally agree it was a real disappointment that we could not have the nice looking euro wheels, the ventilated seats and the sunroof. This car is almost identical in size to the Kia Rio 5 door I had since 2012, which is to say pretty darn small. I love the way it drives though, and normally I drive solo, so not that big a deal.
Yeah I have to admit, they definitely short handed North America. And yeah the car is so small for its class
Have you got a chance to drive it in the snow?
@@braveheart9658 yes, I drove in the snow the first week I got the car, I also drove after a heavy snow fall earlier this year and there was icing later that day. It did decently with the summer tires, but was kind of sketch too haha. Snow mode helped A LOT, I’m sure it will be better with the all seasons I have now
@@braveheart9658 Drives great in snow. We see a lot of that up here.
The missing sun roof hurts 😢
You can remove that feature to reset fuel economy when you just refuel. You can set it to manual in the settings, I had the same cornering problem and it resetting.
Yeah I was wondering about that too. I had feature turned off but mine still kept doing it for some reason. I’ll look into it again tomorrow
How do you turn it off?
Use Regular gas, it says it on the internet if you don't believe me. Just try.
U should have got the LIMITED, fully loaded.
Unfortunately we do not get a limited version of the N here in the states. It’s just a mix of the base and the limited
Is the suspension really harsh and rough?
If you’re in comfort/eco, it’s a little stiff but tolerable, sport mode gets really stiff, N mode gets intolerable over bumps and honestly slows your acceleration at times if the road is bad enough
I was thinking of getting one or N series Elantra or sonata
Nice, you definitely should. The. Kona N and Elantra N are amazing if you’re looking for really aggressive cars. The sonata n line is a smoother alternative to both of those . But all of them are great daily drivers

Interior space… small car small space
@@CitizenBourne pretty much 😤
The Pirelli's are only going to be good until 45 degrees according to their specs.
@@khronin yeah wider tires should definitely help. Funny enough, the Elantra N comes with 245 width tires from the factory
Need more vids
For sure, More videos will be coming out soon! Stay tuned!
not an SUV bro.......
Yeaaaa it’s like an over sized hatch at this point
silly boy laughing
xD get test drive before
I did, these are just things I dislike about the car. We all have things we don’t like about our vehicles
