    Love the detail of the video, especially the part about doing the C-light or demon eye at the same time. I have the replacement fog light bezel from subispeed that has the LED DRL bar and I had to get the DRL harness from them too.
    I currently have the stock headlight so the stock orange-y bulb is on for the DRL which I hate. How would I make the C-light my DRL instead of the stock DRL in the headlight? Also, is it worth upgrading the lights (lo beam and hi beam)? I don’t want to have the old halogen look. Which of these need to be upgraded to be all LED?

    im wondering if it would be easier to tape the c light off by remobing it and then reinstalling it after being taped up? to make the edges perfect?

      I've actually done it quite a few times on different headlight for myself and friends and the first time I removed the c lights and painted behind them black, and that makes the c lights not stand out and I didn't like that. Then I removed them but taped off where the c price would be and that required a lot more work than just taping up the c light and I preferred leaving the C light lense in and just taping it to avoid painting it or the reflective material behind it. But it can be done any way you like!

      I think he meant remove the c light lens first, then tape up the c lens , then reinstall c lens cover, then paint it, then remove tape

    is there any chance of the headlight melting in the oven, i want to do this but the oven part freaks me out

    • @StreetInspired1

      It would have to be left in at a higher temperature for a longer time. Keeping it in for 10 minutes at 200°f will loosen the glue but wont damage the lens, plastic, or bulbs.

    Just found your video….excellent tutorial! Did you lose the intensity of your headlights after painting them black?

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  2 роки тому

      Not at all. The projector has no effect and as long as you don't paint over the reflector for the high beam (like some people paint it black or yellow) it will have the same output as stock!

      I have tried that method in the past and it's actually a bit more difficult.

    I might sound stupid but, does doing this void warranty?

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  5 років тому

      Nope you're good. The only thing this would void is the headlights themselves which aren't really covered under warranty anyways

    are there any differences from the sti and wrx headlights?

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  2 роки тому

      Yeah the sti lights are a little bit different. Primarily there is a smaller reflective light next to the projector. You will want to keep that reflective as well as the high beam or your lights will be dimmer. But the process is exactly the same.

      I have WRX limited and it came with STI headlights from factory. So if you get the limited package of WRX, yes they are the same

    You scratched your lens so bad on your kitchen floor.

      These lenses had 70+k miles on them so it wasn't really worth protecting them. I wetsanded and buffed them after install and they looked almost new.
