Ironically I was thinking the same thing whilst watching that particular restoration.
seeing the wood grain as the paint is stripped off, the sanding her movement is so calming, the minute Angie says Odie I clap, then of course the reveal. Absolutely loved this piece.

You are one of the youtubers I watch where I can just hit the "like" button before even watching the video. My fave transformations are the ones where you take these battered, hopeless looking cases and make them beautiful again--actually, better than when they were new. The wood veneer looks incredible, and this project was obviously meant to be because you already had the replacement pulls for the drawer handles! Kudos to the guy at the bin center for alerting you to this find! He knew it was best in your hands.

I never get tired of watching you work your magic on these pieces! This looks amazing.
I recently refinished a dining table that I got for cheap off of Facebook marketplace. The whole time I was working on it I was thinking about the information I’ve learned from watching your channel. It had a gnarly stain/gouge in the veneer that I never would have been confident enough to tackle if not for your channel. It wasn’t nearly as impressive as anything you do, but I managed to turn an ugly looking table top into something I’m proud of. Thank you for sharing your talent and skill with the world!

Odie's Oil as a finish and a sealant cannot be beaten. It is so much better than what that chest manufacturer used back in the previous mid century. Well done, Angie.

Angie, that chest of drawers is beautiful!!! I LOVE how you let the woodgrains shine through. Letting the drawer handles remain lighter, almost makes them match the drawer handles!
I learned the hard way about 'rescuing' furniture that's been thrown out due to bedbug infestation! Someone that was staying with me for a while rescued a beautiful basinet (because she was pregnant and not working so was low on money) and unfortunately, it had been thrown out due to bedbugs. I didn't get a chance to inspect it before she brought it in my house, and within weeks our apartment was infested with them! It took us 8 YEARS, the loss of MOST of my furniture (twice), and ultimately a move to a new place with no carpets to FINALLY get rid of them!!! We had to replace mattresses multiple times, even with those protective covers on them, because the covers kept ripping and bedbugs got into the mattresses! It's one of the reasons I don't usually buy 2nd hand furniture anymore (unless I KNOW that where it is coming from is bedbug free). My whole family has been traumatized by bedbugs and is NOT something we EVER want to deal with again!!!!!
