Pearls. Every little black dress (or pantsuit) needs a strand of pearls. (I love your analogy - because you are so right about those pulls turning the mundane into the classy.)
Not sure how any one else feels but watching these videos is so relaxing and grounding for me. I think it's because of Angie's attention to details and the almost spa like background music. This was a bold choice for this piece. Idk that I could've been so brave. Well done and someone will be getting a ome of a kind piece as are all of Angie's wonderful transitions.
What draws me to your videos is your willingness to share your thought processes and your experimentation while restoring a piece. I have unsubscribed from so many who just preach at me. You instead show me what choices you consider and how you reach a final choice. I really find this piece very attractive. I have no doubt you can get a high money return on this piece. Extremely well done Angie!!
Angie, you can feel really good about taking the extra time for the details, like finishing the back panel, as you do. What might seem obsessive in one context is a distinguishing attention to detail here, which is part of what sets you apart from the rest of the flippers and refinishers. Congrats on another beautiful rescue! Between rescuing bunnies and vintage furniture, you are making a nice dent in changing the world.
The new casters and the glass shelf on the drinks cabinet elevate it to an eye-catching vintage piece. Lovely that you’re donating it to the fundraiser for the bunnies rescue.
I love how you like to involve your audience with your thought processes on how to approach each piece. I would've been reluctant to test a stain on any part of the actual furniture, but your logic and knowing the final outcome you wanted made perfect sense, and when those of us are still learning how to approach our own pieces of furniture we want to restore, it's a relief to get those more detailed explanations of how and why. Nacho is the cutest!! I love his inquisitive face. I love your work Angie!!!
Love how you measure twice and sometimes three times before drilling the holes for the new handles. That's real care in your craft. In the past, I viewed mid-century pieces as throw-away cheap things not worth the trouble to save. But your attention to your craft, and your vision, have shown me a new way of seeing what they really were and what they can still be. The ability to educate in that way takes you from craftsperson to artisan. I believe that life-long learning is the key to a rich existence; and I am grateful to all my teachers. You are very appreciated.
As are you! Your comments are always so well thought out and supportive. You've a way with words my friend! Thank you, as always, for watching! I look forward to your comments every time.
Don’t apologize for the length! I love it!!! ❤ Great work as always. I really like this dresser’s shape. Water-based stain is intimidating to me but you made it work, unsurprisingly!
I love how the wood grain still manages to show through the dark stain. Another beautiful restoration! And as always, I appreciate the Nacho cameos! P.S. I couldn't see the drawer dowels on the finished piece -- great job!
I will admit that when you were using different options on the legs I wasn’t feeling the black. But, when you started staining the body and drawers I was definitely with you. It’s so nice to see another sad piece saved and given new life. Great job, Angie! Tell Nacho his supervision was top notch!
Not only am I consistently impressed by the artistry in your finished pieces, but also with the polish of your videos. Such an excellent job on both fronts!
I TELL YOU! SHE DOES SUCH AN EXCELLENT JOB OF SHOWING THE PROCESS OF WHAT GREAT CRAFTMANSHIP IS AND HOW IT SUPPOSED TO BE. THAT IS THE MAGIC OF MAKING AND CARING FOR THE THINGS YOU CREATE! CUSTOMERS NOTICE THAT! AND THAT IS ANOTHER GREAT WAY OF KEEPING YOUR CUSTOMERS AND MAKING NEW ONES! YOU GO GURL! WORK THAT THANG!
**Shiver** I can practically feel the smooth surface of the lacquered finish, sense the delightful coolness of the brass pulls, and smell the citrusy perfume of the drawers.
Not only a beautiful makeover, but also a very nice video to watch ! Seeing you struggle to find the right choices to make for this piece, but also to see how the end result in a great makeover ! Combine that with the very relaxing background music and your friendly voice over, are making you makeover videos so nice to watch ! See you on the next one !!!!
I first said, no keep the original hardware but in the end, those knobs were spot on! Thanks for going through the process of testing stains on the legs first... I hope it saves me on a project. It was wonderful to hear you explain how you take your projects to the highest level with strict attention to every detail on every nook + cranny, especially on some where that may not be seen. Bravo. Nacho, good on you for enforcing break time.
That brass hardware with the grooves is just... *chefs kiss*! I had doubts, but once I could see the lines on the drawers, I just KNEW you picked perfectly like you always do!
You are at the top of the food chain with your inspiring videos! You prove the old saying.....Anything worth doing, is worth doing right!! Another fantastic transformation just fabulous 😍
The drawer pulls are gorgeous with the routed shapes on the drawers and the black stain. Amazing work as always. The black is interesting and I'd love to see it in person. I 100% come back to watch your channel because you push yourself to try new things, not just the same look every time. Thank you for your great videos and explanations and kitty and bunny...
I have just finished showing my husband 6 of your vids in quick succession. We are in awe. You are obviously such a hard worker and have patience for 20 people. I gather you must love what you do. Will keep watching
I love watching you take furniture from plain and boring to beautiful show pieces ...have you ever thought of signing the inside of your work so people in the future can see who did the work and can see what a amazing artist you are❤
Watching as you refresh the inside of the drawers, sanding and then applying good smelling stuff, is my favorite part. I have no idea why. Just super satisfying.
The end result is definitely the look of a high end piece of furniture. As always, your work is meticulously and beautifully done. Always appreciate you "defending" these composite pieces, because so many people are dismissive of them and they tend to look so dated and unattractive in their original finish. They're not solid wood but as you pointed out, they often fare better over time than all wood pieces. And you make them all look beautiful. Well done!
Congratulations on your youtube award, you worked a lot for it and deserve it. The viewer's are very happy and excited for you because of the likes and subscription to your channel. I love to see your restoration of furniture because these pieces are hard to find and you save them from the landfills, so a great thumbs-up to you Angie.
Wow ❤❤❤❤ I really cannot tell you how much I enjoy your videos. My only regret is that my late husband passed away seven years ago. He would have been watching your videos nonstop over and over again for your detail for your diligence and your skill. With love from Maryland.💙💙💙💙
Your thought process works so well ... the end result is proof of that. Such a nice transformation from its dowdy outdated appearance and yes the brass and black finish looks classy.
She is stunning! I understand why you second guess yourself but I never question your designs. No matter what you pick i'm just like, yep! That's the perfect choice. 😊 Another incredible transformation!
wow what a difference. The dresser looks beautiful. That's what I like about you, you take that extra step to make your pieces look like new. Thanks for the video🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Not generally a fan of dark, but your choice of using it for this cabinet was inspired. It looked so unique and unusual. Great job. Loved the new knobs. 👏
You made me do it! Yep, after watching the detail you put into your pieces, I’m now lightly sanding and using Howard’s inside drawers. It’s one more step, but the feeling of a job well done is very rewarding! Thanks again for being you!
Whether the finished piece is something I love or don't love, I always enjoy your process, troubleshooting, and pivots when things aren't going as you'd planned! Love these longer videos! Important Nacho question.... How many total claws does he have? Each of our cats have 18 (ten in front, 8 in back) but it looks like Nacho has so many more!
Nacho does indeed have many more. 😺 He has 23 toes in total - front left foot has 6, front right foot has 7 and his back feet each have 5. So extras all around! Thanks so much for watching!
I so enjoyed the moment you sanded the leg and the wild color difference! Your dedication to each piece is simply wonderful. Playing ball with the kitty is so sweet. You are an amazing person. Thanks for sharing your talents and heart with us.
Millie melted my heart!!! ive been involved in rabbit rescue and saving bunnies for 40 years. loved watching video but then after Millie I really love them. more Millie please
Another homerun Angie! My 23 year old daughter is moving into her own apartment and she is taking some pieces I have refinished as well as "ordering" some I have stored in the barn loft. Spent part of this beautiful May day painting a bookcase black to match her decor. Next up is a lovely Victorian side table that I am refinishing the top and little shelf and painting the legs black for her living room. Just glad she likes antiques to give her apartment some class.
This turned out fantastic. I love the 'glow' the drawers have, just gives that extra touch of elegance that sets the entire piece off. Great job as always!
Absolutely LOVE the contrast of the dark wood and brushed brass hardware. This piece would look stunning in just about any home. Lovely transformation once again Angie. 😀 x
Wow, that came out great! Its funny, when you said "black", I was like YES!! Perfect choice! It went from icky blah to amazing, sleek and totally stylish and upscale. You are hands down not only one of the most talented furniture artists, but a girl after my own heart, clean, clean and clean! I am sure your clients love that what they are buying is lovely, fresh and gorgeous! I love the way that came out, understated, but a show stopper just the same.
Nacho -- what a great name for an orange tabby. Love cats to bits and especially their "nosey" nature. They have to know everything you do or they are not happy!. I'm lucky I found your channel. I've been "refurbishing" old discarded pieces since my teen years but your level of knowledge is every impressive and it shows in your work. Even though I won't be doing any restoring in the future, I especially sat up and took notice of your ingenious methods. Thank you for sharing.
It occurred to me to tell you that I like that you do voice over, rather than live sound. I watch a lot of woodworking and restoration videos. And too often I almost have to mute them rather than listen to the sound of a saw or sander. Who needs that? Well done!
Aw thank you! I know there are lots of channels with tool sounds- my weird sensory issues prevent me from truly enjoying them when the sound levels aren’t mixed well. I don’t even like the sound of sanders and saws in my own workroom (I wear ear muffs, lol) let alone to purposely watch it in videos, lol. If the levels are mixed well though, it’s not as bad. :-)
You definitely have class and vision to transcend old finds to a new life. Thank you for sharing all your heard work. I spend hours watching your transformations. Love your work, your pace and the music is relaxing.🇬🇧
The shape of the new drawer pulls perfectly complements the shape of the wood handles on the bottom drawers. And I love how the stain lets the wood grain show, even under the very dark color. Nicely done!
I’ve missed you Angie!! Nacho has gotten so big but still plays like a kitten!!! Kudos to you donating the bar to your Bunny Rescue!! Happy that you shared your process with diff stains, conditioner, etc. I Love that sometimes more than “trust the process” ❤ Happy that you went with the water base stain-definitely a learning curve!! Prob as fast if not faster than Bondo!!! Also the lacquer!! Those gold knobs just give another dimensional view!!! ❤❤❤
I love how it turned out. Water-based stains are difficult and frustrating to use, and it made me feel better that you also have some issues using them. Thanks for always being real and honest!
Oh I love this piece Angie. I find it not every video it's every second video that I learn something new from you. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us.
Your reveals are my favorite! This dark finish looks very modern now, and I really enjoy your thought process of your finish and hardware choices. Nacho is the cutest.
THE END RESULT OF APPLYING THE BEST OF GREAT CRAFTMANSHIP! YOU CAN SEE THE LOVE AND CARE SHE PUTS INTO THIS PIECE! JUST LIKE HER OTHER PIECES! GREAT WORK, ANGIE DAHLING! AS ALWAYS! YOU INSPIRE ME TO BE THE BEST I CAN BE IN MY DESIGN WORK! "YOU WORKIT DIVA!"
Just incredibly beautiful. I love it when you breathe new life into old furniture. Such furniture tells stories of bygone times. Thanks for letting me watch you do it. ♥
The brass hardware with the cool black stain is giving "little black dress" vibes. Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you very much!
Perfect description of the vibe!
Yes they go well together. I, however, don’t like dark stains at all. I much prefer an oak-colored stain.
Pearls. Every little black dress (or pantsuit) needs a strand of pearls. (I love your analogy - because you are so right about those pulls turning the mundane into the classy.)
Little black dress-er vibes! 😂
Awe, thank you! I'm really happy to hear that!
Her videos make me want to go driving around to see if I can find something good to fix up! 😊
It makes me have delusions that I can do this! LOL I LOVE these types of videos and how each creator completes a project!
Her videos are well edited and paced too
Me too. And no clean up. No unfinished projects to haunt you until you throw it out. Of course I don't own the thing either but.....
Nacho's little paw with the ball under the door was adorable! I really like the brass hardware with the black stain, Angie! 💚
Thanks so much Sharon! 😺
I told my daughter that this was a "giggle break."
Thanks so much for the Nacho moments. He makes me so happy
Who doesn't love a Nacho break
@@lovealwaysmomThat’s awesome!
What draws me to your videos is your willingness to share your thought processes and your experimentation while restoring a piece. I have unsubscribed from so many who just preach at me. Thank you so much Vicki!
If you're going to make Nacho work so hard, he should get a nice raise. Supervision doesn't come cheep. 😊❤️😸
😆So he tells me! Thanks so much for watching Gretchen!
Angie, you can feel really good about taking the extra time for the details, like finishing the back panel, as you do. Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate the support. 😊
I love the long videos and your detailed explanations. No need Angie to apologize for the length of the video.
This turned out beautifully! I love it!!!
The new casters and the glass shelf on the drinks cabinet elevate it to an eye-catching vintage piece.
Lovely that you’re donating it to the fundraiser for the bunnies rescue.

Thank you so much for watching and the great comment. I really appreciate that!
Old drawers always look so clean and refreshed after sanding. Such a simple step with such a big payoff. It's always very satisfying.
Yes it is! 😁
The music is very pleasant and Angie's voice isn't obtrusive or annoying. Very relaxing for me to watch.
I love how the wood grain still manages to show through the dark stain. Another beautiful restoration! And as always, I appreciate the Nacho cameos! P.S. I couldn't see the drawer dowels on the finished piece -- great job!
Thank you very much!

Thanks for sticking with me Dianna to see where I was going with it!
Utterly Gobsmacked! The Black stain was the way to go!
Thank you kindly!

You have very elegant taste!

Thanks so much Valerie!
The longer the videos, the better. I could watch these all day!!
Glad you like them!
That is outstanding, Angie! It looks very elegant. I’m quite sure that piece didn’t look half that good, even when new!
Thank you Marcia!
That brass hardware with the grooves is just... *chefs kiss*! I had doubts, but once I could see the lines on the drawers, I just KNEW you picked perfectly like you always do!
Thank you so much for trusting me and sticking with me until the end!

You're so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Ange, you have a knack for editing. You show all the steps, fast forward in the right spots, and a bonus cute cat visit. I love it.
Thank you so much Rena! I'm really glad you enjoy my content.
Must be just as much work setting up the cammera as it is doing the work. I won't tell anyone if you say a bad work when you bang your thumb.
I have just finished showing my husband 6 of your vids in quick succession. We are in awe. You are obviously such a hard worker and have patience for 20 people. I gather you must love what you do. Will keep watching
Please do! I'm so glad you're enjoying my content. ❤️
If that dresser had feelings, it would be smiling right now! Awesome job!!
Thank you kindly Josh!
Lovely details in the wood that only black can show off. A magnificent makeover!
Thank you so much for watching! 🙂
I love watching you take furniture from plain and boring to beautiful show pieces ...have you ever thought of signing the inside of your work so people in the future can see who did the work and can see what a amazing artist you are❤
Yes, I have seen other flippers who have had branding irons made with their company logo. That would be a good finishing touch.
A lot of people have suggested that and it's something I'm considering for the future. Thank you so much for watching!
Watching as you refresh the inside of the drawers, sanding and then applying good smelling stuff, is my favorite part. I have no idea why. Just super satisfying.
I'm so glad you enjoy it Diana! Thanks so much for watching!
Angie you work hard and those efforts are recognized in the finishes. Cheer!❤
Thank you kindly!
donating that piece is such a nice thing to do. Anyone who loves animals is all right in my book!!!
Thanks for watching!
Hi Angie!! How wonderful was this furniture!! And this cutest kitten giving the air of grace in the video!! Good vibes and Namaste!!
Thanks so much for watching Luiza!
This is one of the best transformations of a roadside find on youtube!
Thanks so much for watching! 😊
I love the color. You did an amazing job.
Thank you so much!
The end result is definitely the look of a high end piece of furniture. As always, your work is meticulously and beautifully done. Thank you so much for this and for understanding it so well. You are a breathe of fresh air.
The new hardware really makes the piece. Such a great recovery!
Many thanks!

Thank you so much Pamela! I really appreciate your thoughtful and kind comment.❤️
Your thought process works so well ... the end result is proof of that. Such a nice transformation from its dowdy outdated appearance and yes the brass and black finish looks classy.
Thank you so much for watching!
She is stunning! I understand why you second guess yourself but I never question your designs. No matter what you pick i'm just like, yep! That's the perfect choice. 😊 Another incredible transformation!
Thank you so much!
I’m so glad you tried the black! It looks amazing! Art is all about taking risks, and I love how you explain your creative process.
Thank you very much!
Love how the new handles go perfectly with the legs.
This came out so pretty and elegant!! The new knobs are such an improvement, and the stain is just right!!❤

I can't wait for you to see it Connie!
Beautiful as ever!!

Whether the finished piece is something I love or don't love, I always enjoy your process, troubleshooting, and pivots when things aren't going as you'd planned! Love these longer videos! It turned out so Great! Stunning 😍
Thank you!
You know you sometimes run out of the perfect words for something so beautiful, that it's hard to find the right one. Classy! I love it.
Thank you very much! 🙂
What an ellegant finał result! Well done!
Thank you kindly!
What a magnificent transformation Angie! ❤

They sound lovely Katherine! Thanks so much for watching!
you are so right about the handles. the dresser and handles were meant to be together.
Thank you so much!
Another stunning transformation!
Oh, and Nacho is so adorable… a cat with a job!
Thanks so much for watching!
This turned out fantastic. I love the 'glow' the drawers have, just gives that extra touch of elegance that sets the entire piece off. Great job as always!
Thank you so much for watching! 🙂
Absolutely LOVE the contrast of the dark wood and brushed brass hardware. This piece would look stunning in just about any home. Lovely transformation once again Angie. 😀 x
Thanks so much Emma! I'm glad you like how it turned out!
Fabulous, as always!! I love the way you explain everything so clearly.

Relaxing music, an adorable kitty, and yet again...an AMAZING BEAUTIFUL FINISHED PIECE OF FURNITURE!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
This is a bold, handsome piece. Love the dark with the grain showing, and the gold knobs. Simple but beautiful!
Thank you so much Deb!
You definitely have class and vision to transcend old finds to a new life. Thank you for sharing all your heard work. I spend hours watching your transformations. Love your work, your pace and the music is relaxing.🇬🇧
Thank you so much! 😊
The shape of the new drawer pulls perfectly complements the shape of the wood handles on the bottom drawers. And I love how the stain lets the wood grain show, even under the very dark color. Nicely done!
Thank you so much!
The dark stain is working perfectly with the grooves giving an industrial vibe. fantastic choices. a perfect rescue. Star Trek prop.
Thanks so much!
Your finished work is so inviting. The cleanup of the interior makes your work sing. Very desirable piece.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Oh, your beautiful orangey boi! Love it when cats do their inspection work 😊
They're very thorough too!
I really admire the thoroughness and attention to detail you put in your work. Brava!
Thank you so much! 😊
The dresser looks so nice in black!! I like how you chose to see the grain through the finish!! The knobs look like beautiful jewelry!!
Thank you so much!
Dang girl! What a transformation! Wow !

Thank you so much!
I love how it turned out. Water-based stains are difficult and frustrating to use, and it made me feel better that you also have some issues using them. Thanks for always being real and honest!
Always! Thank you so much for watching! 😀
