I bought a 2015 used with 80K miles, just gave it to my daughter with 135,000 miles and she drove it from NY to CA. I replaced it with a used 2019 with 80K miles!
Thank you for the tour of the 2020 Mazda CX5. I just bought one on December 26th of 2023. It had just over 10,000 miles on it. It's the same color as the one you show on this video but it has the parchment interior. I love it. I think it's very elegant. It rides beautifully. It handles very nicely. I'm very happy with my purchase. I love your videos.😊
Hi question I’m expecting a baby and my wife loves the cx5 but I’ve never seen one in person? In your opinion is it worth the price of a 2020? And does it have air vents for ac in the back
Lovely video as usual. Kudos to you Jonathan, this information is soo vital to intended buyers, whom you've shown comparative cost advantage between 2023 and 2020 modelof CX 5.. i love how informative your videos are. I have also join the family, preowned Cx9 2023
I am researching my replacement SUV, due to heavy 4 car impacts. I started with 2020 & 2024 Mazda CX-5 test drives in early November 2023. Good SUV overall! The left lane station keeping was stronger steering wheel feedback than the right!
Where? I paid 33,000 for a 2020 cx5 with 24,000 miles and it’s only touring. And that’s literally after days of negotiations and looking at 3 different states dealerships.
I just bought a 2020 CX-5 Grand Touring with premium package and AWD tonight. Certified pre-owned with a 3 year, 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty. 9,700 miles. $26,840.
@@jameshughes6049 Congrats. We just put a deposit on a Certified 2020 GT with the Premium Package. 18K miles and not a mark on the vehicle. Paying $25,500. I think it's a solid deal for a really impressive CUV. Looking forward to picking it up next week.
I went back and rewatched this video because I just recently came across this vehicle online. It does have 14,000 miles on it but the dealership does list it as certified. I did have my eye on a 2023 though. I want a CX-5 but have never sat in one and wondering if it will be a good fit for me when I do sit in one.
The cargo capacity is smaller than competition SUVs, 1500 lb tow capacity is the current SUV baseline and ground clearance 7.6 inches is the current introductory high.
Jonathan, I’m in Canada, but your videos are a major reason I ordered our CX5 (Polymetal to match my MX5 😅). You’re a videos are very informative, and you’re doing us all a massive favour. Thank you!!! PS: On the CX5 test drive, I was trying to find the cylinder deactivation screen you showed before, but it’s hidden in that “press menu” button. The sales guy with me thought I was nuts when I was so excited when I found it 😂
It's the best looking Mazda SUV to this day. Idk why Mazda had to mess with the front grill design in their CX-5 refresh. It doesn't look nearly as stylish and sharp as this 2020 grill/front end. Now all their new designs have a much less sharp and more generic looking grill.
I think an update was needed, and we never have any say in what they choose. I think the update works well for some trims like the Carbon Edition, Signature, and Turbo. May have taken away from some trims.
When friends ask for a vehicle recommendation for a "luxury" SUV... I tell them to look at a CX5 Grand Touring first. It competes well with Acura, Audi, MB, and Cadillac imo
I'm currently shopping for a used one (in Canada), for the same price I can either have a 2019 GS and a 2020 GX (base model), both with similar mileage. Is there anything I should consider to make a choice between the two? I usually don't mind fancier options, I mostly value reliability and build quality. Thanks!
I’m in Canada and shopping for CX5. I’m considering 2020 GT Turbo with 44000km and 2021 GT with the same mileage for $1300 more. Which one would you choose and why? Which one would represent better value?
Turbos are designed for DIESELS-- and NEVER good on a small engine. Even if taken care of flawlessly- the turbo can wear the engine out wAY faster-- and if it fails WILL ruin the engine. These cars with naturally aspirated engines are dang near PERFECT..

If you don’t mind. How much you pay for 2019 with 80k.
I have the same one loaded minus the turbo and at 29,000 the car has been flawless and great in the New England weather.
Awesome!
Just purchased this exact vehicle for my daughter. She loves it 👍

My 2020 GT Reserve is still going strong. Great car! I would buy a certified used one for sure.
Just bought a 2020 CX-5 today with 46K miles on it for 25K I couldn't believe no one scoop this Beautiful SUV before Me! This Truck has EVERYTHING‼️

Thank you, and Congratulations on your wonderful Mazda!
My 2019 3 is great and I did buy it as a certified used car.
Awesome! They are great cars!
Love my 21 Touring.
Have the same color.
Absolutely love it.

Greetings from MI! Nice video, Jonathan.
Yes I just bought cx-5 2020 gt 24,500 miles for $29,600 OTD including CPO 12 months it’s great car

I just bought a 2020 cx5 this past Monday and so far I’m loving it!
awesome, thanks for this video. I am looking at purchasing a certified version of this same model/color/year.
Did you ever get one? Tell us more!

In DR they are selling the 20 gt for 25 to 27k
The 21 gt are 28k would you reccomend pay 1 to 2k more for the 21 for the tech?

The center 20% rear seat back is less secure for toddler seat mounting. This position is weaker in the case of front or rear high speed impacts.
Without any new charges why mazda launches new year models with high price?
This is my next car. Waiting for pricing to continue to drop cause they are still over priced.
Me too!’
Still waiting?@@cosmicgirl7288
Me too.
Me too!
I just bought the 2020 sport with only 7800 miles. Got the five year Bumper to bumper warranty. Love the car. Replaced a 2014 cx5
How much you paid?
I rather go for a used 21 model with the refresh 10 inch lcd screen if I was in the market for a used model.
Yes the new screen is nice.

Trying to pick between a 2018 cx5 and a 2020 Mazda 3
And both are around the same price
I would go for the cx5.
My 2021 touring feels like a Lexus for 50% less
2020 Mazda CX-5 GT, 8,563 miles
Anyone having carbon build up problems on the in take valves?
I like to use seafoam sprayed into the intake for this method, or clean out the throttle body directly.

Omg that old infotainment 🤮
That has touch screen
Small price to pay compared to the grand scheme of things
I like the 2022-23 front and rear look better. This grille and trim was so ugly I never liked it
What are you smoking? This pre-refresh grill is so much sharper and aggressive looking. But I guess some people prefer generic potato styling lol
@@Unchainedmaple888 potato? The new grille is more “premium” looking more aggressive
