I think that the comparison is interesting, but a bit unfair.
I didn't know the Logic Drums (normal... I'm not a Mac user ;-). They sound nice.
The SSD5.5 is the free version. Even if they already are excellent drum samples, there are some better samples in the paid version. Also, the SSD is fairly dry and need to be properly mixed to give it's best. It's obviously not the case here.
Also, you can merge the sound of different elements (snares, toms, kick cymbals) to build your dream sound... You can't do that with EZD2.
The internal mixing console is more powerful thant the EZD one. I think that SSD5.5 is closer to Superior Drummer 2 than EZD2.
But If you don't want to spend time mixing your drums, then EZD2 is a good choice (I have the original EZD 1).

I didn't try ez drummer or ssd yet, but logic x drums have different kits and also ways to customize each sound, so comparing preset sounds doesn't do justice to any of these software.
too bad the SSD is the free version, the Fatty Bombaty Preset is really nice on the Paid version IMO

What setup are you using? As far as pads go?
Looks like a midi kick, hi-hat & snare, the rest are pads.
Looking for a solution to not get a full Ekit that’s space conserving
You can check the complete setup in the video description. It is pretty portable, and that's precisely why I have chosen that over a full e-kit.
In retrospect, I would get a smaller snare pad instead of the PDX-12 to make it more proportional :)

Just got the 10 day trial EZDrummer 2 for my Pro Tools setup coming out of a solid 10 year Mac Logic clowntown now Garbage Band Pro BS. I'll always use Logic time to time for composing (with purchased plugins) but looking for an answer to the Logic Drummer. Something without a GUI that doesn't have attitude based on the drummers hairstyle, name, or ethnicity. Looking back, I think the best things Logic has to offer are price and Logic Drummer. Easy to call out the Retro Synth plugin used in this video. I've never made a ginger bread house. I'm super good at hard boiling eggs. hold on gonna smoke a cig. brb. sorry i forgot i had this tab open. im gonna go to bed tho. thx

its just different drum setup and sounds, + always use eq/comp/reverb and every5hing will sound great with logic
@@vladlabyrinth6335 well if u play it on real electric drum, there's something different in velocity, the drumpad part will sound different too base on where u hit it, and also the between close and open hihat will sound more realistic like acoustic did, programs like superior drum (which is like ezdrum pro version) have better settings for the different electric drum kit u have
Ez sounds more compressed and punchy not more real. Logic drummer sounds more natural

SSD has little to processing on it. Ezdrummer is sounding better because it’s compressed to shit.
Logic was the best, EZ Drummer the kick sounded terrible to the point that I couldn't tell whether anything else was good, SSD was good except there seemed to be some high end roll-off on the high-hats.
