In this Adobe Premiere Pro video editing tutorial, you'll learn how to create and edit a multi-cam sequence with six camera angles (from the music video I shot) in Adobe Premiere Pro. You'll also learn how to color grade master angle clips using Lumetri Color to save save editing time so you can easily match multiple angles.

I placed this post in a reply to a post but I think it is important enough to put it here in the main comments. First, this is a great tutorial. One of the best. However, no one on you tube provides a good explanation as to how the audio track that you want for all your cameras or angles is selected by Premiere pro. It is not intuitive. The audio you want for your master audio is determined by what you select first when you are selecting all your camera angles. Remember when Premiere Gal selected the audio from the separate audio track named Burgandy 60 remix. She selected that track first, then she selected the other camera angles. By selecting the master audio track first, Premiere pro assumes you want that as your master audio. Now when you select Create Multi camera Source Sequence and select audio Track Channel 1 in that dialogue box, Premiere is choosing whatever you selected first when you selected all you cameras or angles. If you selected camera angle 3 then that is the audio source for your sequence. If you selected camera angle 5, then that is the audio for your sequence.
That's amazing, thanks! Couldn't do the master colour correction using the Face Detection so a work around if you want to use the Colour Match is this: Apply Match in Lumetri Colour panel by using the Comparison View on two clips in the multicam sequence. Then copy the Lumetri effect from the Effects panel. Double click on the processed clip in Project panel to bring up the master, then paste the effect there.
I learned a lot from this tutorial. I think it's the clearest set of instructions on multi cam editing I've come across. thanks for making it.
This tutorial is fantastic. I picked up on a lot of helpful tips here. Thank you so much for sharing your workflow!

You just earned another subscriber. Wow, totally taught me what I needed, and much more!
Thank you, thank you... I couldn't figure out how to do Lumetri Color on a source file once I was looking at a multi-cam sequence layout. Premiere can be weird that way... thank you for showing how to make it happen!
Awesome tutorial! And great plug for supporting other artists on the licensing platform.
Thank you for the tutorial. It's help me do the edit more efficient.

thank you , i didnt know you could edit at the master level!
Awesome!! Thx for sharing
Another great tutorial
Thankyou so much i am a big fan of you.
Excellent Tutorial.. Thanks for making this video and enlightening us. Can we just add a LUTS on top of all angle cuts and make all cuts look like a same color grading effect? will that work? Thank you
Thanks for the great video. I’m trying to do a multicam video shot using a Sony A7iv, GoPro and Samsung phone. The Sony was shot in S-Log3 and I’ve applied the Neutral Phantom LUT to the source clip but I’d like to do a comparison view and colour grade between the clips but how would you suggest doing that from with the multicam sequence?
Brilliant!!
Wonderful stuff as usual. But what would be the workflow if you needed to Comparision Match all cameras?? Thanks.
awesome thank you gal
Thank you!
thanks. learn multi color grading😀
Hi Gal, Thanks for all what you are doing. It always helps me solve some struggles while editing. Regarding the topic of this video, I wanted to ask: Is there a way how to do the color corections and so on the whole camera angle sequence? I mean I have an interview recorded from two different angles. As we were stoping cameras after each question, there is multiple source files for each angle. I have the multicam sequence with all the takes synchronized, and I need to match all clips from angle 1 to to look and feel as angle 2. Is there a way to do the correction for the whole video layer within the multicamera sequence representing Angle 1? Hope I explained it understandable O🙂
i love you #premieregal your tutorial has made me so good, am proud to call myself a videographer now
Great video, also amazing about song trader , I'll definitely check it out, been looking for something like that for a while.
Nice
Thank you
Awesome Video Gal !!!.....Have you got into Insta 360 Videos and Tutorials yet !!!!....I just bought an Intsa360 one X and just LOVE it !!!....KeepEmComin' !!....
Also if you don't see the different cameras when you press the multicam view button, check that the track targeting V where the multicam sequence is located, is highlighted. If it's switched off, you'll see only one camera and will wonder why it doesn't work:)
Thanks
What about color match if one uses a different camera with multicam editing ? For example I filmed a parade with a video camera canon hx10 and my Samsung s23 ultra at the same time.
Thank you. 🌴☀️📸☕👍🏻🌋
Is there a way to use the "roll" tool without having to drag with your mouse? I.E. just with keyboard shortcuts?
hey, great video! I really could use some of your help. in premiere, it stopped showing video tracks. I know you did a video called, "Quick Fix: Why isn't my video showing in my Adobe Premiere Pro timeline?
", but my problem is slightly different, I don't know why. it doesn't even show "V1, V2" or any video layers. at the top of the Layers panel, it starts with "A1, A2" and so on. however, when i press play, it shows me the video on the preview. I dont know how to get the video layers option back even! please help me out, thank you! :)
I'm in love... finally... in love ....
Thanks for the help! Anyone know if there is a way to Mask one of the multicam clips only when color correcting? I want to isolate one of my cameras so that I can color grade using a colorchecker or gray card and mask only that area but everytime I mask it doesn't work at the individual master clip level so I cant really grade as I see all the colors in there 12:59 ? Thanks!
So you need all the clips loose in the media browser....? What if you have separate folders/cameras with separate clips of each camera? I have around 30 seperate clips
When I hit okprocess I get this " could not synchronize one or more clips in the current selection because a match could not be found. ?
hi
i have two camera different color, Canon 200d Mark ii and Canon XA30, i want to make same color, look lik one in Multicam. thank you for help
Pure smell of beauty!
haha thanks!
Wait, did premier automatically sync all of the audio files together? Or, did I miss that step?
It automatically syncs the audio together when you use multi-cam, its amazing.
@@PremiereGal How do you get rid of the noisy audio from all of your 6 angle clips and just keep the high quality audio? Or did it do that automatically too?
@@EricVaandering In the multicam settings prompt, it asks what the sync method is as well as which audio to use as main audio track.
@@EricVaandering I had trouble with this until I ran across a solution. No one on you tube provides a good explanation as to how the audio track that you want for all your cameras or angles is selected by Premiere pro. It is not intuitive. There is no Lumetric Color on Adobe PP 2014... :(
Notification squad! First! ❤️
is this how you shot that interview you where in,when the video first started
Yep, same technique used for editing an interview or someone talking direct to camera like I do.
@@PremiereGal thank you, but I found out I'm limited I have adobe cs6
4:53 fucking thank you, my multicam sequence wasn't taking any of the cuts I tried to give it and it was bc I didn't have toggle multicam sequence on
Hello
Have to be a cheap way in recording 6 cameras your gear 10K buckaroos
