All you had to do was nest your sequence 1 and enable multi-cam... it was ready to go since you did it manually... all of the other steps (and some before) were unnecessary... 😎😀
Was about to say the same. Not quite sure if this method has some advantage that I’m not quite getting.
And enable multicam on only the video track not the audio.
@OmarKamel after you do your cuts in the nest hour do you save it to add others edits like layers, transition and tables. And how do you do it so the computer doesn't lag to the point you can not edit
I'm pretty new to this, but for my last 13 videos, I've synced my 3 cameras and audio into one sequence, selected all, nested, then set multicam view, and selected the cameras. I don't understand why you need all the extra steps of multicam folder, etc. Is it just for organization? Thank you!
I was thinking the same thing. Thanks
Idk how this video isn’t topping “bigger UA-camrs” tutorials. I literally watched 10 different ones prior to this and THIS one was the only one that showed me how to work with multiple broke up clips. Thank you so much! I’ve been so stressed trying to figure this out and you took all that stress away!
I had the same experience - this video is the answer that solved my problem as I had this exact scenario. Thank you SO MUCH Mitchell!
Finally, a proper explanation! I searched videos for hours trying to figure out how Adobe intended this to work. I even called Adobe tech support and asked how to color grade each camera after a multicam edit and the person told me it couldn't be done. THANK YOU! Oh, and thank you for moving quickly and staying laser focused on topic.
00:43 Media, syncing on the timeline
02:10 Syncing Audio
03:40 Black spots in the videos
05:36 Now one folder, different cameras
Brilliant with the explanation of multi cam editing with multiple clips on same video channel. Thanks so much!
HALLELUIAH! Seriously was about to rip my hair out. THANK YOU
I liked this just for the @3:50 tip of 'geling' the clips together with the Shift/drag into Black Video technique
Thanks for the video very helpful. But the way you proposing is gonna create a mega chaos for people who do not intend to do the colour inside premiere. Because if my source is now a sequence and not a clip then the project has zero mobility to any other programs someone might as the xml won't have any of the proper info. Please correct me if I'm missing something here.
I edit a podcast with 4 people, on Pr, Using Multicam, is there an option that will automatically cut to clip with to the person speaking, all with different audio tracks?
I don't believe there is any way to automatically cut to the angle with talking, as far as I know.
Hi there Mitchell, thank you very much for your how-to vid, this was super useful to me !!
This video needs to see more traffic. It was very helpful, especially when it comes to color grading shots in a multi-cam sequence. Unbelievably helpful. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this!! I was really bummed out when I couldn't do multi-cam edit with the way my videos were filmed, until I found you! Your instruction were very clear and easy to follow too.
What a messy workflow!
I have been scouring the Earth for a video explaining this simply and completely, and I finally found it. Thank you so much!!! [SMASHING the subscribe button]
Haha thanks man! Glad it could help!
OMG this helped me so much! I was trying to do this with footage from 3 gopros and with gopro auto-chaptering I was kind of at a loss of how to do this, premiere kept making each "chapter" a source sequence, but now I can do it! Thanks so much!
I honestly thought the title was just click-bait. But after watching it, it makes particular sense to me, since I post drum covers with five different angles, different file structures (one clip videos to segmented videos spread through five minute clips, depending on the camera) and a different audio source with multiple seeds to boot. So SYNCING is key. And this makes a lot more sense in prepping the sequence first and then going for multi-camera rather than just going for the much repeated and over-simplified method other people recommend. I'll be sure to watch this again to properly walk through these steps. Thanks!
You could've selected them all from the project bin and created a Multicam sequence, then rightclicking and simplifying the sequence and creating a multicam from the video tracks. Much easier.
YEs I second that, that is what I do.
Dude you saved me when this. Everyone talks about syncing, nesting then enabling multicam but that would not work for my clips. I spent hours trying to figure it out but the additional steps you included for split up clips and creating separate sequences did the trick!! THANK YOU!!
Great Job in teaching... The nice thing is you keep it going quick with no wasted time... If I need to see how you did something I just go back a bit and pause. :)) Much better than having it drag on.. Again Thank you !!
Hello, it worked, thank you so much
Too many steps, it can be much simpler than that.
It's much easier and faster to just nest all those clips after syncing and then import nested sequence and enable multicam. And you're ready to work with multicam.
OMG THANKS SO SO MUCH THIS HELPED!!!
Nice info, well presented. I’ve just started doing multi-cam editing by doing multiple Zoom recordings plus some OBS, then using Premiere Pro to produce a UA-cam upload. Thanks for the detailed, functional instruction!
Fantastic tutorial. Quick and easy to use, I just edited a 4 cam concert with these tips. One tip that went by really quick that was frustrating the living crap out of me was that when syncing two clips together it's the one that is (closest to front of the timeline, or furthest left) will be the one that will move into sync. That small bit right there ended my frustration with trying to figure out how to get the one I wanted to move to do the moving. Thank you!
Appreciate it! So glad it helped 😁
best multicam tutorial & the only one that made it work for me! thanks a lot, also I subbed!! great content.
Thanks for the sub!
Thank you so much, straight to the point and a really nice pace, love your teaching style.
You legend!! All my multicam is taken outside in windy conditions (audio sync doesn't work) with different time points i couldn't match them. Obviously was missing the in point setting and black video 🙏🙏
Nooooo don't scale UP to frame size
You can't increase the quality of a 1080p clip to 4K
scale DOWN the 4K to 1080p (in a 1080p sequence)
This is a great video, but not what I'm looking for :D
The problem I had was when you say select synchronise at 2 minute ish mark my synchronise was greyed out and too ages to figure it out
In end I nested my split clips together then made multi cam sequence
Gopro splits the recording up so even if don't turn off record the recording is split and its really annoying to put into sequence but put each recording with its splits on timeline nest them and do for each recording then join via multi cam worked for me.
Otherwise your sequence option you show won't work. For me anyway. Even fiddling with the A1 A2 things didn't help .
Thank you
Amazing skills I just started my 2nd video editing after ruining my first multicamera editing and you made it so easy for me. Thanks, buddy, I appreciate it.
That's awesome! Keep it up!
Will this tab also work if video 1 or source video clip is also split, meaning cam 1 and cam 2, both clips are already split?
Thanks for this over whelming tutorial, this saved my lots of time, Love from India❤
YES BROOOOOO!!! thank you sooo much for this!!! Abode should feature you for this fix dude!!!
Finally somebody doing it the right way! Thank you!
Hey, I doing step by step with your film but when i right click a multicam item the Create Multi-camera source sequence don't highlights. Do you have idea what im doing wrong? please help :/
TNice tutorials is aweso! I was feeling kinda overwheld when i first start soft but after watcNice tutorialng your tutorial video, i feel much more confident
This was very informative. Thank you!
I'm currently struggling using Multicam in Premiere Pro. Even in a recently tested strong desktop (Xeon 28 Cores, 64 gb Ram, RTX 3060 Ti 8 gb VRAM, SSD), playing back, cutting and selecting cameras in a 3 cam 2 audio recorder multicam secuence is a freaking nightmare! Super slow response (about 10 seconds to play or sift when it doesn't forget to, every time I make a cut this happens, just imagine how many cuts and how much lost time every time I need to play back or sift through the multicams), the computer spec don't even go over 50%, laggy, unresponsive, and if I need to edit a 2 hour weeding documentary edit, this is total trash. Seeing forums, all they say is update and a bunch of weird workaround which are 7 years old and did not work, and while updating solves some issues, you get new issues. I found your method about a year ago and it was a total game changer to me (being able to see your cameras at the same time is huge to me), but now that this is happening, it is just unworkable. Is anyone else having this issue? Could it be that this multicam editing method is inefficient for Premiere to process? Please help! For the time being, I am switching to Davinci on my next project.
I edit live small venue sporting events. I wish I could do this, but some of my sources don't have audio, and sometimes the files from sources like GoPros are auto-labeled in a weird order. Unfortunately I don't have any say in how they record it, I only do post-production.
You saved my life and time mate... thanks!
Thanks Mitchell, your video is definitely what I am looking for as a beginner.
Maybe I spoke too soon lol. The very last step is locking up Premier, when I right click and select "new sequence from clip". Any suggestions? I've cleared media cache, restarted Premiere and the PC multiple times but it keeps happening. Would love to find a way around this if you know of any. Thanks!
Appreciate the video, yet it is way too fast and too much. Why not just put all of the camera shots into one bin? The multicam would still sync everything but divide each clip into different cameras on the overlays. This was too many extra steps without explanation.
THANK YOU! Been watching all the multicam tutorials and couldn't figure out how to make it work with multiple clips, and finally your tutorial was the one to help me 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
You have saved me from tears today, THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thank you so much! The pace you speak at is perfect and you don't add unnecessary details. Very Helpful
thansk alot broh, i never tire watchng your tutorials, you teach the best way, big up!!
This is a tip to "fix" a problem that doesn't exist. Premiere will happily sync all those files into a multicam. Doesn't matter that they're spaced out on the one camera.
HEY YOU soft LIKE AI AND TNice tutorialS VID SO HELPFUL
This is, hands down, the most helpful multicam tutorial I've found, and I've found lots. Excellent, thank you!
"Well well well, look who's co crawling back" ~ five stringed spanish guitar
thank you very much. it was very helpful
my laptop speakers. Any suggestions on what to do to get my soft back? I recently updated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
wow someone on reality street, real world issues. One thing I did learn was have one LONG audio reference track but so hard dealing with multiple cameras with multiple clips to build a muticam sequence
How did you combine the two cameras? I think there was a step missing. Ughhh
Ive watched tNice tutorials a couple tis and i tNice tutorialnk the key is to slow the video down to .75. TRY IT!!!
THIS VIDEO IS STILL RELEVENT AF!!! I already made all my cuts for my a cam and this saved me! Thank you sir!!!😬
Glad it helped!
Than I’d like link that to a vocoder and fruity lp that boi. Than Edison. Thaaaan finally ott, setup, spend a billion years fixing ott phase
2nd cam's audio and video are not matching for my project. Anything you can help with me.
when your working in ae more then 10 years and need to sync clips....
I watched several tutorails but adobe is such shit of piece that I make it by the hands.
everyone talk about this!!!
But noone talk, how to show names of cameras? Like it Resolve have
This is great since I am editing a dance recital and yet, somehow, I had no idea how!! I guarantee that 30k of these views are mine lol
$199 bundle etc. so wNice tutorialch was is best??? ❤️❤️
Like everyone says, very helpful and I too wasted a lot of time watching other videos before this one set me straight. I have one question - How I do I know for certain that the production audio is taking priority? How I do I know that the inferior camera audio isn't being mixed in? Thanks!
I just either disable the audio clip I don't want or disable to audio track that's not the main one.
I was given soft soft as a gift in 11, and up until recently, I was so overwheld by the complexity of it that I never got past just using
the demos. I don't know if tNice tutorials is a clue, but when i pause or stop the soft, there's an echo wNice tutorialch very slowly fades out.
I have no problem using soft soft, I just dont understand the tools and such, ofc it takes a long "#"¤ ti to make sotNice tutorialng because of
Thank you so much for tNice tutorials video. I was so confused and overwheld when I first opened soft soft and now I understand how to finally
How did you record the same audio on both cameras? Was it a single audio signal input into both cameras? please explain
Will i watch your channel 24/7 just to look at that beautiful face of yours? *yes*.
This is the best multicam explanation video. Thanks!
TNice tutorialS WAS SOOOOOO HELPFUL!!
Why not keep all cameras on a single sequence that’s then turned into a multicam? Just for color? One thing that seems like it may become a headache is that if something was not synced correctly, the making adjustments would be insanely hard.
It Worked perfectly after trying other methods this one was the best one, Thanks.
Wow! It works! The first time i tried it took forever to activate and when I disabled my antivirus it worked like in less than a minute! Thanks bro!
Thank you! Here's a request from ! Can you please make a tutorial on how to record your actual tutorial and input your own soft
Drag the volu for the setuper track that you're recording into all the way down.
Great video, helped me out tons! Thanks!!!
Multi Camera Editing in how to split screen effects tutoriyal
where I’d record one track of the soft and than use a second Edison to record scrubbing through the soft to mimic a wave table.
Learnt stuff. Thank you for that. Didin't understand at 2:22 where you had synced the audio and then dragged the audio to the beginning of the vision.
FACTS!!!!!! Thank you so much man, you're the best!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! it was useful, i was looking for this vidoe and wondering how it is done, man, all my videos i was just using transition but i di dnot want to use transitions all the time. I was looking for something more natural. thanks a lot!
Glad it helped!
I just want to ask .Can you see the whole or the last one you've made or the Nice tutorialstory in the soft soft(20)and the softs that you have done
best multicam tutorial!!!! Thanks Mitchell
YES ! Am familiar with the Synchronize feature on Adobe locking up multi camera tracks through the, 'Mixdown' setting however am now trying to Synchronize a new 4 Cam Multi Camera Shoot to a Master Audio Track recorded previously but after I draw over the 4 independent tracks then right click on the group my Synchronize tab is GHOSTED!
Can you offer me a Solution?
You'll probably just have to sync each cam to the master audio one at a time and make sure the audio doesn't move when you sync each of them.
It worked for my 64-bit PC. Thanks a lot.
WELL DONE! Yours is the first and only video I've found that shows a work around allowing us to color correct individual cameras with adjustment layers in a multicamera sequence. None of the other dozens of videos about multicam editing I had to wade through were of use to me because they didn't account for this factor. Thanks so much for this instruction.
Glad it was helpful!
Way more difficult that FCP.
Why doesn’t my soft have all options for example I don’t have a trono I’m on a Mac book pro
thanks bro for this tut,.but my problem is my number key 1,2,3 is not functioning,.i need to use mouse to select the clip on program monitor,.thanks.Godbless
Try using the top row of numbers on your keyboard, it's those not the numberpad on the right.
confused when i downloaded and opened soft soft . I couldnt find any good and informative video for beginners to help
Amazing! Thanks for the tutorial.
HOLYY SHIITTT I LOVE YOU I'VE BEEN SEARCHING AROUND THE INTERNET FOR 5 HOURS AND THEN NOW IT'S OVER FINALLY I LOVE YOU MAAN
I was always fascinated by trap soft, been listening to trap long ti and i finally decided that i will try to make my own but i was so
After you do the cuts how do you secure them to go in for other edits like transitions and lables
Too bad Premiere can't do this with 4k vid without choking the whole time.
Use proxies
