Hiya! This video is really phat. I like the graphics and it was really fun to watch. I would recommend this to everyone. 3 stars.
It’s cred.
Just got to the Virtual Worlds episode: the VR networked experience did indeed come to London. I played Mechwarrior in a cabin linked to seven other capsules in the Trocadero Centre in 1995!
Hah... I just finished series 1 about 20 mins ago. Perfect.
I'm forever watching...
Weird to think review child is probably a mortgage adviser with 3 kids now. Oh how cruel the sands of time. Also Andy Crane staring at Violet like we all were. Poor Violet.
Andy looks at Violet in the same way that my dog looks at his knackers.
I remember this show as a kid, I wasn’t aware phat was even a word back then, I used to think it mean Wad, like a big “wad” of cash.
So if he said Phat games I thought it meant he had shit loads of em, lol life was simpler back then, so was I 🤪
25:48, hearing the phrase "mystic runes" in a northern accent is magical. First Samurai on the Amiga was decent enough.
There should be a BAFTA category for this. Would win it hands down
The reason why certain games (Sonic Spinball et al) get such good scores is because they were given away as prizes in that same episode. Sneaky. Which means that Adam gave Jurassic Park a good score against his will. Probably.
RAAAA MORE BAD INFLUENCE
This gives me raging 90s nostalgia, despite not watching this show as a kid. The whole world had a different vibe back then
This is an excellent video, with great graphics and sound. Unfortunately, it's a little hard to get to grips with.

This is the must watch thing this Sunday
A very long time ago i went to the Odeon in Leicester Square to watch some Japanese cartoon movies, Violet Berlin sat next to me, oe someone who looked very much like her sat next to me. I tried to use my peripheral vision to confirm this, but it got a bit dark. Anyway, i was a bit scared and a bit overwhelmed by the experience. I pretended to enjoy the films, dont really know why i went, but am happy to have the memory to share with you now. Great video, thankyou!
Haha... I had the first Dr. Franken on Game Boy... it was actually a pretty neat little Metroid style game. Don't know about the sequel, though.
Okay, finally made it through.
Oscar, which was a pack in game with my A1200 CD-drive, which I have a feeling it was leftover CD32 stock they desperately wanted shot of and just slapped in with it, since it was just a generic PCMCIA to SCSI adapter with a generic cheapo SCSI external CD drive. It's a definite 3 star, I mean there's nothing particularly wrong with it, but there's nothing particularly right, either. Just spectacularly average. Played it thrice.
"Fun" fact: The A1200 would crash on startup if you had both a CD drive and more than 4mb of RAM. To play Doom I had to install it from CD, then unplug the CD drive and put my 68030 w/8mb RAM expansion back in to play it, because it needed both the '030 and at least 6mb RAM.
Triassic!
1:39:19 She looked a bit startled.
Bad Influence is one of my favourite shows of all time xD Am I weird ? 🤔
The rrp of console games in the mid-90s is an absolute shocker. I had no idea!
Spending £60 - 70 on a fresh copy of Phalanx was all the rage
Well, prices were only really insane for a few years while cartridges were king. Things were much more reasonable either side of that time, i.e. tapes (usually less than £10) and 3.5" discs (£20-£25) before it, and then CDs (back to £30-ish) after it. But yeah it was no joke if you bought a bad game for £50+ on the SNES or Megadrive...
That Garfield game looks to be a nonsensical reskin of C64 game P.P.Hammer... Why didn't I notice that first time through?! That's even worse than those generic Ocean licenced platformers, I mean at least they bothered making a new game.
Oh believe me, the rabbit hole goes a lot deeper than that. I recommend looking up the Bugs Bunny Crazy Castles game saga. These games got reskinned so many times.
@@RoseTintedSpectrum Oh, I'd heard of those in Total magazine back in the day, but to see my grandad's second favourite game(after space 'em up Exile) was a surprise and a half, and at least those games made sense in context. Why's Garfield digging through tunnels with a pneumatic hammer?
I'm meant to be taking my 5 year old daughter to her mates birthday party.... she can wait whil I watch this. One Sunday morning. Hiding on the toilet....(ooh 3rd like #inb4ianlee) edit- 3 hours? I'll watch 5 more mins....
