You really would think I'd have better things to do with my time, but hey ho, here we are. There were 40 games reviewed. The average for the boys was 3.5 and the girls came in at 3.8. So yeah, Violet was basically right. Boys scores/game count: 1 - 1 2 - 4 3 - 14 4 - 16 5 - 5 Girls scores/game count: 1 - 0 2 - 0 3 - 11 4 - 22 5 - 7
I've only recently discovered this channel, but thank god I did. The editing and commentary is hilarious. It must have taken ages to put this all together, but I am so glad you did. Keep up the good work, looking forward to working my way through your back catalogue 👍
I won't rest until Violet, Andy, the studio audience and fuck it, even Fresh are dragged kicking and screaming into a studio and they give me the exclusive on Rock Drummer 2. I'm not letting Bad Influence of all things be the genesis of trolling!
Anyone complaining about influencers in the modern day really should think about just how many boys ended up buying the shitty Watara Supervision handheld just because Violet Berlin had a crackin' pair of legs.
Even as 9 year old who loved watching gamesmaster, I couldn’t sit through this show as a kid because the feeling of cringe was just too painful to bear.
Wow I used to watch this as a teenager...not so much by choice... more from lack of TV options, although looking back, the 90s were a golden age for gaming and this and Games Master were classics! Your dry humour really made it hilarious! Nam Rood definitely looks like he was a skinhead extra in edgy French noir classic La Haine (1995).
I'm so glad I came across your content, scouting through the internet to find new things to watch can be so hit and miss but I've certainly found a hit here and one for which I'm sticking around for. Also, you've almost killed me off a few times making me laugh like an absolute mad man but if there's a way to go, it's not the worst 😂
Me and my brothers basically took the piss out of this even back in the day. Just had a great evening watching your vid 😂. Ghost girl and Anti Violence boy are my favourite. I too was terrified by Terrahawks!
2:26:48 - Now the ball's in my court. Violet scans in Jaw Breaker, who has 4000 HP. The device is in either C1 or C2 mode, and now that it has a Warrior scanned in, it's waiting for a Wizard card. A Wizard card that Violet never picks up. So when she scans in the barcode from the cornflakes box and claims it gives her "4000 energy points", nothing has actually happened and she's just reading out Jaw Breaker's HP stat.
Well, my morning has taken an unexpected twist. Here I thought I was going to be productive but no... I'm going to watch reviews of 90s british television.
i might be wrong but i think Violet is responsible for the media kickback on false clams and scare tactics. shes always been a great voice in the gross media of misinformation.
just stumble across your channel i don't even remember this show i grow up watching CITV i be 40 this year love gamemaster i remember Gamesville back on sky one
Have you actually played ecco the dolphin?! It's anything but boring and shit it's my favourite game of all time. It has a compelling story, unique atmosphere and challenging gameplay. There hasn't been a game like it since to be quite honest.
Definitely a really pleasant game - I have it on the MegaDrive (not officially licensed Sega version mind you - one of those @games ones Argos sold about 10 or 15 years ago). Have to disagree with RTS about that for once.
Wow as a kid you were so excited just to see a glimpse of games and consoles that you didn't realize that these shows were probably created by people who had no clue about kids or games or anything. Classic stuff !
Eh. This really feels like it was produced by people who knew kids well, it's CITV ofc, and games reasonably well. But it's desperate to be edgy in that 90s way and feels cheap and slapped together a bit.
Yes ....Nams name was actually explained by the actor that played him (think it was in the magazine but i cant remember, it only lasted 2 issues though so probably not) But it IS a play on how he lets you in the "back door" with his cheats ...hence Door Man
This is absolutely Jurassic 🎉 I forgot how funny this whole thing was/is Me and my friend we still quote zee from a time he went to look at the 3DO and he told us that the 3DO was the most powerful thing ever and said "here's the proof" and what they show is some shitty wire frame picture .. it made us laugh for about 20 minutes and ever since whenever anyone in the industry tries to tell us something is amazing we find ourselves saying .. and here's the proof .. it's mainly aimed at Todd Howard 😂
You are really, really, really good. Very well written and presented! Watched all 4 seasons of BBI (lazy) and gonna see what else you've got! Excellent stuff.
Awesome idea to wrap this great video series up! I'll have this playing in the background whilst painting 40k or when I go to bed as ive seen all of them.
Wait a minute, I think I might have found the music group ‘Brooklyn’ on Spotify… I think they might have went with the name ‘Brooklyn Bounce’ The black guy kinda looks like the main rapper (lol) when he was younger and the large built white guy behind looks like the other guy in the stock image they used on Spotify.
Thank you so much for this! I loved Bad Influence when it was on. Such a wonderful antidote to what passes for TV out there. THIS is why UA-cam was invented :)
Only thing i liked about the show was Violet i was 14 years old at the time had a crush on her i use to record the show and paused it with her face show and i use to play with myself in bed
Has anyone ever seen the datablasts? I mean has anyone posted screenshots on the web? Hey, I remember everyone compared SOR2 to SF2, I think it was because Big N had SF2, and sega had sod all.
2:17:25 The kid behind Andy on the right. I always kind of assumed the kids were probably playing something but that kid is looking right into the camera while he's pretending to play.
I was an avid viewer of this, and still have a full set of tapes. But you know, even at the age of 7, I didn’t know why the hell they got Andy Crane presenting it. Maybe he was meant to be a nerd foil for Violet, who was known as a punk type.
This is a good video. It’s very playable. The graphics are really good and the music isn’t annoying. I had a lot of fun and I would recommend it to everyone. My only complaint is that it’s not violent enough. I like this sort of thing. 5 stars.
1:03:41 - strange coincidence, i bought a copy of Final Fantasy VIII 4 days before it's release at a Woolworth's in the town of Kingsbridge (about 10 miles out of Plymouth)
When I was young watching this I used to think Violet Berlin was one of those "transformers" as Beavis and Butthead called them. Andy Crane was the spitting image of my neighbour around this time, also called Andy (short for Andrew) who put rocks in his pockets and drowned himself about ten years later, sadly for his folks.
I think Ghost Girl could be a daughter of tv presenter Gareth Jones (aka Gaz Top). There is no info online of him having a daughter before he had two sons with Violet Berlin but Ghost Girl absolutely has his face.
How do I have no knowledge of this show ever existing? I was the right age at the time, but have no recollection of this ever being on tv. Yes, I did watch Gamesmaster
After only 4 minutes I can tell this is going to be great 😅 I watched it when it was broadcast due to the dearth of alternatives, but even my 14 year old self found it incredibly cringey and try hard. Like Steve Buscemi’s “Hello fellow kids” stretched to an entire series minus the hilarity. Only 4 minutes in, I’m sure I’ll get to the Alien Sex Fiend episode eventually, whatever season that was in. Where they only ever refer to it as ASF and I had to ask my older bro what the hell is ASF??
1:43:02 - is it Skyrim?.. again... Skyrim the 1992 time travel gold etheric mega ultra deluxe pre-birthday ultimate gamers edition that comes personally signed by Todd Howard and has a lock of his hair (which is of course a shaving from a polyester wig)?
You really would think I'd have better things to do with my time, but hey ho, here we are.

Doing God's work
Thank you putting together these stats.
This is amazing. You have had me laughing for hours. I watched the Games Master binge, and then I came straight to this.
I spat out my drink when you said Nam Rood was a cross between a skinhead and a snooker player. Well played.
No you never.
I thought it was Lex Fridman before he started shilling for right wing tech bros.
Reminds me of a knock off Ade Edmondson
Drifted asleep to this after eating too much cheese in a hotel in Estonia, funny old life!
Nam Rood was like an off-brand Adrian Edmondson.
Guess you could say they reached the…BOTTOM…of the barrel…👀
Micro machines was amazing. I would spend hours making my own tracks
Brilliant video. Thank you. The commentary had me laughing all the way through. I had completely forgotten about this program.
I've only recently discovered this channel, but thank god I did.
The editing and commentary is hilarious. It must have taken ages to put this all together, but I am so glad you did.
Keep up the good work, looking forward to working my way through your back catalogue 👍

I swapped super castlevania for dragons lair on the snes at the local swap shop. A decision that still haunts me today
Anyone complaining about influencers in the modern day really should think about just how many boys ended up buying the shitty Watara Supervision handheld just because Violet Berlin had a crackin' pair of legs.
I can't believe that at aged 44, I learned that "Nam Rood" was "Door man" backwards. That being said, it wasn't exactly relatable for a 12 year old. 😂
Thank you sir. Tears rolling down my face. Excellent job. Funniest thing I’ve seen in a long while. Thank you again.
A while ago, I looked up 'furtler'. It is someone who cuts holes in life-size standees and, erm, enjoys themselves. Nam Rood was next level.
You are a brilliant human. I've very much enjoyed finding your channel.
1:21:37 - lmfao - omg - lols - wowsers! Andy's aubergine in effect
I can't believe they got away with that on a daytime kids show!
😂😂😂different era of tv.
Violet was bang tidy.
Me and my brothers basically took the piss out of this even back in the day. Just had a great evening watching your vid 😂. Ghost girl and Anti Violence boy are my favourite.
I too was terrified by Terrahawks!
Ambassador, with this nearly 3 hours of Andy Crane you spoil us!
^Found Andy Crane's UA-cam account.
2:26:48 - Now the ball's in my court.

"In this bizarre interlude, this woman makes this man sniff her feet"
😂😂😂
I've watched these episodes to death but this is a great excuse to... do it again! Thanks for the commentary!
FINISHED. An absolutely Jurassic video. Sad its over so soon
Will be adding the other series over the next few days
Well, my morning has taken an unexpected twist. Here I thought I was going to be productive but no... I'm going to watch reviews of 90s british television.
"Big denim nightmare" woke my cat up with a huge lol.
i might be wrong but i think Violet is responsible for the media kickback on false clams and scare tactics. shes always been a great voice in the gross media of misinformation.
😂😂😂😂The commentary is top tier!
Ah memories! I went to school with some of these kids, which made your commentary extra fun!
You're doing the Lord's work here
1:21:38 wow how did they get away with that on a daytime kids show on TV.
‘Oh oh Andy getting on his high horse what’s this all about!!
Had me on the floor laughing 😂 soo much! Fantastic videos good sir👍👍👍
Terrahawks legit scared me when I was a kid
Same.
Seeing Axelay in ep 4 inspired a life long itch that i've only fairly recently scratched
just stumble across your channel i don't even remember this show i grow up watching CITV i be 40 this year love gamemaster i remember Gamesville back on sky one
Punctuation Andy! Eat rubber, Johnny popstar. Sounds slightly too much like "eat rubber Johnny, popstar".
This youtube video is Jurassic !!!!
Have you actually played ecco the dolphin?! It's anything but boring and shit it's my favourite game of all time. It has a compelling story, unique atmosphere and challenging gameplay. There hasn't been a game like it since to be quite honest.

ecco 2 tides of time was one of my childhood favorites, but by all standards it is a HARD game.
This is pure gold, hats off sir 👏
It's like my inner monologue learnt how to produce and edit UA-cam videos in real time.
Yes ....Nams name was actually explained by the actor that played him (think it was in the magazine but i cant remember, it only lasted 2 issues though so probably not)
But it IS a play on how he lets you in the "back door" with his cheats ...hence Door Man
Sounds very gae
This is absolutely Jurassic 🎉 I forgot how funny this whole thing was/is

Rock Drummer 2 The World Tour: The game that needs to be made
I googled Brooklyn Bad Influence 1992 and found the band in some capacity.
Well, thats that...
Great vid, so much fun! Love the retrospective, love the humour!! Absolutely perfect. 3 stars out of 5.
To this day I cannot understand why they put Nigel mansell above micro machines
Just wait until you see the GamesMaster reviews... Yeeeeesh.
Been watching your videos all morning and "Urban Biscuit" has earned you a new subscriber, well done sir.
This was pretty jurassic.
To Andy's credit he's really looked after himself, as if you see him today he looks EXACTLY the same.
Omg the memories I'm in my late 40s I rember all of this also had a major crush on violet back in the day. I was about 13 at the time
Thank you so much for this! I loved Bad Influence when it was on. Such a wonderful antidote to what passes for TV out there. THIS is why UA-cam was invented :)
Alan Partridge has used the expression "jurassic park" to say something was awesome.
Glad I discovered this channel. This guys commenting my entire childhood.
Alan Partridge exclaimed "Jurassic Park" as a superlative.
Ecco is the Megadrives answer to Super Metroid.
Am I allowed to say Violet puts the 'ass' in Jurassic? Probably not, but ive just finished the Gamesmaster vid, and they probably would have done.
I love your hilarious commentary. More of Gamesmaster please!
2:17:25 The kid behind Andy on the right. I always kind of assumed the kids were probably playing something but that kid is looking right into the camera while he's pretending to play.

His shorts say Urinal Biscuit, to my eyes. 🤐
On the subject of things you hear but which your brain can't compute, what is the word Nam Rood keepa using whenever he refers to the viewers?
Fook me I loved this show back in the day, funny as hell vid thanks man.
Cracked me up so many times throughout this video.
Some Enigma playing at that Seattle VR summer camp for extra 90's cred there
thank you rosetintedspectrum!
The Rock Drummer 2: World Tour saga was great 😂
wonder how long those Nintendo game guide hotlines lasted, not a bad job to have compared to other call center jobs
30:39 the Future Entertainment Show at Earls Court was one of the best days of my life.
This is a good video. It’s very playable. The graphics are really good and the music isn’t annoying. I had a lot of fun and I would recommend it to everyone. My only complaint is that it’s not violent enough. I like this sort of thing. 5 stars.
"Rolf Harris doesn't have much to worry about"
If Rolf was in the studio, it would be everyone else worrying
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
1:03:41 - strange coincidence, i bought a copy of Final Fantasy VIII 4 days before it's release at a Woolworth's in the town of Kingsbridge (about 10 miles out of Plymouth)
Putty was great! Putty Squad was a true gift to the Amiga community when belated released several years ago!
Apparently the singer in 'Brooklyn' is Jerome Stokes out of N-Trance!
Now this is some solid information I didn't know!
2:08:00 Its called the PC, and plays pretty much everything these days
When I was young watching this I used to think Violet Berlin was one of those "transformers" as Beavis and Butthead called them. This comment was a wilder ride than any universal coaster.
I think Ghost Girl could be a daughter of tv presenter Gareth Jones (aka Gaz Top). There is no info online of him having a daughter before he had two sons with Violet Berlin but Ghost Girl absolutely has his face.
1:59:03 Boston Dynamics have zero to worry about.
I thought this show was awful when it was live as a kid! Yep I was right 😂 average score is legendary 👌
I've always thought it was Silly Putty and, despite owning it back then, I'm apparently very wrong 🤦🏻♂️
OMG, Christina Model... 😲😂
@SonicAlpha you may be the first person in 5 years to accurately name that reference, hahahaha
@@RoseTintedSpectrum 😂🤣😂
I'll go sit in the corner of shame.
Has Andy crane died or was he implicated in the yew tree thing?
Still going, but apparently moved into radio.
@@SonicAlpha so not got him yet
How do I have no knowledge of this show ever existing? I was the right age at the time, but have no recollection of this ever being on tv. Yes, I did watch Gamesmaster
Honestly the final review ratings not matching the comments by the reviewers was something I picked up on very quickly as a kid. Absolute joke.
1:21:38 lol.
After only 4 minutes I can tell this is going to be great 😅
I watched it when it was broadcast due to the dearth of alternatives, but even my 14 year old self found it incredibly cringey and try hard. Like Steve Buscemi’s “Hello fellow kids” stretched to an entire series minus the hilarity.

there is a Discogs entry for that Brooklyn - Bad Influence song.
38:34 It's Sidney Potter.
15:10 alan partridge first tv appearance

Eat rubber Johnny,
popstar.
1:38:05 - EAT RUBBER JOHNNY, POPSTAR!
Bit harsh.
Episode 11 - is that based of Hulk Hogan? Answers on a postcard; it's just for fun
This is peak 90's cheese
Love this show as kid
1:43:02 - is it Skyrim?.. again... Skyrim the 1992 time travel gold etheric mega ultra deluxe pre-birthday ultimate gamers edition that comes personally signed by Todd Howard and has a lock of his hair (which is of course a shaving from a polyester wig)?
