For anyone wondering, this farm is also quite efficient in bedrock addition. The only thing different is that the fungus and/or axe cannot go into the offhand slot and the player must manually alternate between them. This renders the farm not AFK-able but if there are two people AFK with auto-clickers, the farm works great if timed right. (One person needs the fungus while the other needs the axe.)
OMG uve got to be joking! I was just looking for a wood farm for a nether build! This is like the 3rd time I’ve been looking for a farm, and you’ve posted it that same day! Anyways great vid!
Anyone know of designs for dark oak, acacia or 2x2 jungle/spruce? Everyone gravitates to the other tree types because of their ease of automation but I'd really like to see what farms look like for these other wood types. All of the other designs that I've seen involving jungle (1x1) and dark oak have issues making a sustainable amount of saplings.
i hate building full wood farms lol. its so tedious to build in survival mode, and since you have to place down saplings, you cant really make a semi auto one.
Also! If you are doing this long term and don’t want items to despawn I recommend a hopper collection system under everything and a pillar on dispenser to avoid items getting stuck on it
I realize this is 2 years old, so perhaps there are better builds now (?) but this is what I found & built. I don't care about being afk, I just want some crimson logs (that don't take hours & hours for half a box worth). But I'm not tracking on how holding down both mouse buttons achieves that? I've tried & tried and I get 4 or so logs & then nothing. I even added the additional time via repeaters that the OP suggested and still it isn't working for me. The dropper keeps spitting bone meal (which I get) but the fungus in my left hand just doesn't plant it. What am I missing? I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, I just can't figure it out. When I look anywhere except up, I end up gathering the redstone on the other side of where the tree should spawn. Gah, I just don't understand farming stuff. If anyone can help I will be super appreciative! :) Thank you so much!
This works perfectly on my 1.21 Java SMP. Thank you! Duping is turned off so my options were limited. And the wither blast chambers and whatnot aren't appealing, so this was just what I needed.
I got this farm to work in the end. Had to add some extra redstone to the dispenser. But can I use this farm for mushrooms and other trees if I make it with podzel, mycelium and grass?
May I be f*ct if I haven't tried a hundred times to detect the tree growth with a comparator. Is the one I see there for this? At the end I found a solution for tree growth detecting, but man I swear I tried and seeing this system so easy makes me feel upset with myself.
Ah PS, cover up the second nylium with a transparent block of sort since wart blocks could generate over it even if just aside the trunk at ground level. ;)
the trick is you are not actually detecting the tree growth... a comparator can detect a filled container through the block (when no tree nothing to detect).
I'm almost certain TNT duping was reported as a bug a while back, but because the community really like it, it's marked "Working as intended". I think there might also be a feature request for TNT duping to be implemented in Bedrock edition
Well the whole thing is nice, but what I was looking for was why the crimson.... block (idk I forgot) turns to neitherrack and how I was going to produce more without going back to the neither looking for it with silk touch
What you're looking for is Nylium. You can make more by using bonemeal on netherrack which is touching the desired color of nylium but that requires at least 1 to start. As to why it turns back to netherrack? That's because it functions like grass. If it's under a solid block it will turn back into netherrack.
So you don't need to break the "leaves" on these trees, I see. The leaf blocks (wart?) are so weird, anyway, and very slow to break if you try (unless you use a hoe, I've found - even then it's tedious). Does leaving the leaves make it grow short or the same height every time? I don't use this wood much and have never farmed it in large amounts - I've so far just sort of haphazardly farmed it to get a few stacks of logs at a time. But it is a good building material. It doesn't burn, and you can convert it into everything normal logs convert into. That makes this an efficient way to get lots of building material (that's fireproof), if you need that. Do you think the leaves are worth fooling with ever? Are they good for anything? (I think you said they can be composted) Would you ever fool w/ a tnt duper to harvest these trees, maybe to get the shroomlights and leaves as well as the logs (and not stripped, if u need a mass amount of unstripped logs)? I like this basic, simple farm, though. Thanks for posting it! I may try this soon.
the nether tree will continue to grow the four blocks you are chopping every time as you saw in the video. There are larger systems that are 100% full auto that use tnt to get every part of the tree and generate a surplus of bone meal to go back into the farm... which are useful... but also WAY more complex.
@@EagleEye621 thanks - I sometimes build giant farms but rarely need all the stuff they make. What you posted here seems like a very useful farm, though. Thanks again
I'm building a gigantic mushroom city, and the cap of the main mushroom is made from warped wart. That's actually why I came to this video, haha. It's a pretty block, and I'm glad I finally came up with a reason to use it.
when he breaks the first stem block he plants the stem sapling under the next stem block. when pressing F3 and T he holds down both right click and left click
