- Getting the BEST DEALS on all villager trades has never been easier. Those deals will be both for you, and everyone else on your server. No more moving villagers around through complicated conversion setups with boats and rails. Once you push your villager into place, anyone on your server can convert it will the simple flip of a lever (no rails, no minecarts, no water streams, no boats... easy, quick and clean). The villagers are also positioned to talk to each other spreading the good news of your curing them to boost those trades before you can afford to convert them all.

With especially long halls I'd suggest sectioning zombies off by walls so no dropped villager is out of a zombies aggro range. If you don't section the zombies off you'll notice they'll slowly start pooling in one area, and with only one zombie (or all the zombies in one area) the other ends of the halls may not have a zombie for conversions.

That's a very clever design. Thanks. I didn't realize each person in a server needs to cure villagers to get a discount, but I did know they drop prices if cured multiple times - up to about 4 cures or so. So this would be very handy. Trapping them in place w/ a slab while you set their trade, that's also very handy.
if you want to be really nice, whoever cures villy just buys lots of whatever the server needs and leaves it in a chest near by :)
but if you run out and that person isn't on this will have you covered :)
@@EagleEye621 right, or just sell it for x server dollars, a reasonable price to reflect the time and effort spent (but not gouging), if server has an economy. I've seen small servers of friends just share things, which is nice

Nice! Awesome idea matching the height/sightlines with slabs and trapdoor. I wonder if irons bars can be incorporated into the design to speed up the conversion process?
interesting thought... keeping in mind you need to make sure the villager can't escape when lowered... not sure how much (if any) faster it could get, but look forward to seeing some screenshots of your idea :)

This is great, all the ones that I've seen like this have it so that the zombie can kill the villager when you want it too, but somehow it can do it when you don't want it to. Great design!

Is there a ways that i can just have trapdoors surrounding the village and not trap the whole floor or will it mess with the zombie seeing the villagers ?
Pardon my ignorance, but what about the beds? Don't they need to have access to their beds to restock and stuff? Or does converting them into a zombie do the trick?
no, they don't need beds to restock. That used to be a thing for iron farms, but at least as of the current full release (1.16.5) and the snapshot, you don't need bed access to restock trades
I'm trying to thing of ways to automate it more.
Apparently there is a trick where you can detect the zombification of a villager by them popping out of a minecart and tripping a string... I suppose you could use their AI to do it too... by having them go towards another villager or away from a zombie... if you had a system that detected their conversion you could set it up so you flip one switch, drop each villager, they pop back up when they are infected, and then a dispenser either automatically hits them with a splash weakness or at the press of a button you could maybe hit all of the ones who need to be cured.
You could have a selector so you could, say if you had a row of ten villagers, pick which of those ten you want to drop (the ones who don't have maxed out trades), press a button, they all drop, get converted, pop back up, and then you press a button to dispense weakness on them. Then you could run along and hit them all with the golden apples. You could, I suppose, just drop them all each time but that could mean converting villagers who already had maxed out trades.
That said, I like the simplicity of this version. The extra resources to fully automate it might be worth it on a larger server but most servers this would get the job done about as well as you could hope for.

how am i supposed to get the villager into this contraptiont? i've built this is in my testing world and i can't get them in their places with minecarts. i dont see any other plausible way for me to do this in my own world if it can't work in a creative world.

you mean kill the villager? just remove the work station and let them walk away... or use a bucket of lava to kill them without the other villagers realizing what you are doing

I have a few questions about the design. I dont quite get, why you want basically a double piston extender? You can just have to zombie only one block lower and in the back and put the levers on the floor. Also one thing I noticed is how you get the villagers in? You can also prevent the zombie seeing you and dont kill the villager by putting blocks between the workstations.
And also. How do you get the villagers in?
But its still a very cool setup! Keep up the great work and quality of the videos!
you can do that, but i found that the zombies have a harder time finding the villagers, and you can't make it double sided (the player has to walk around instead of standing in between both sets of villagers). Also, the zombie does sometimes lock onto the player when only one block down... and... the double extension looks neater and is cooler :P
to get them in you do need to have a breaded nearby or transport them in.

Does the trapdoors HAVE to be trapdoors? Because the iron trap doors and pricey 😬 and I don’t want to accidentally right click and get killed by a zombie to so..

you could probably make a more compact double piston extender
yes... I started with a smaller observer based one but the villagers kept glitching through the pistons/blocks so slowed it down

height is very specific to make the line of sight work

Yo I know I'm late, but isn't there an exact chance of the villager getting infected? And does the apple heal them enough so they can get infected infinite amount?
on hard mode it is 100% ... if you are not on hard mode there is a good chance the villagers will die (100% on easy mode)

sometimes it takes a little while for them to gossip
You'll need to convert them all, probably several times each, to get the best deals

I cannot get my villagers to accept professions. I built up this hall, but villagers won't accept jobs. Can there be zombies already in place when giving them jobs?
they will only take jobs at certain times of the day, so give it a few minutes to see if that works... if not, post it over on the help channel in the discord so I can see if there is anything wrong.
I did the exact same build as you but the zombies are burning. Do you know why ?
you forgot to add a roof... the trap doors don't block the sun

You know what? Potion of weakness seems like really uneasy to get... Can I just use arrows with weakness effect from my other villiger?
Just tested in java 1.16.1 and it seems like you can't, but weakness pots aren't actually hard to get at all. It's just a fermented spider eye (spider eye + sugar + brown mushroom) into water bottles (not awkward potions) and then gunpowder to turn them into splash pots
i am not 100% sure but don't think you can... but the potions are not to bad to make if you keep the spider eyes you get randomly from killing them in the world (even without a farm). The sugar can be made from sugar cane (which you probably farm for paper), and brown mushroom can be collected in the nether without to much trouble. I have a mushroom farm, but... like all small mushroom farms, it is very slow :/

I personally prefer impulses s7 design because the villagers are right next to each other.
nothing wrong with that. I thought about compacting the design, but it added an extra layer of complication to the redstone and wanted to keep this and simple as possible. You could probably use trapdoors on the sides to separate the villies and tweek the double piston extender circuits :)
