Please clarify should I use toast mode or bake mode. Bottom heating should be done in bake mode. I use morphy Richards OTG. Please respond

Hey Michael, I love your channel and recipes. I made this cake today. When you take the cake out oven the oven after 65 minutes it shrinks quite a bit. Is this normal for this type of cake/method or is there another step to check for readiness? Thanks for a great channel. Barry

Not sure what you are trying to say. This kind of cakes will always shrink a little. You can see it clearly in the video. You can see that the cake is pulling away from the pan. If the cake deflate and when completely flat that is another issue.

Idk the answer of your first question but in the second one is Yes, the vanilla helps to cut the eggy taste you can use almond essence instead of the vanilla

This kind of cake will always shrink a little as you can see in this video. Tooth pick inserted into the cake comes out clean, that means is ready.
