I have seen him on stage when I was a teenager and do this day he his my personal favorite professional body builder of all time.

Totally agree. Robbie definitely should have won one. His physique was MUCH MORE complete than Arnold, Draper and Zane. Weider was a virulent r@cist who demeaned black competitors during that era. He made sure that black competitors were tested to second tier status, while white competitors like Arnold made the front covers of muscle and fitness on a regular basis.
Robbie Robinson competed in the wrong era. A black competitor in the 70s while Arnold, Weiders Whyte hope to be the flagship banner of his organization, was NEVER going to win. Weider is on record saying as much. He wanted a charismatic European to be the face of Weider incorp. And to bring in revenue for his organization. This in spite of the fact that Robinson was very popular with fans irrespective of R@ce. Weider was a staunch r@cist and businessman. Fast forward going into the mid 90s he told the legendary Kevin Levrone the same thing . Weider told Levrone to his face that He felt Levrone would make a fine Mr. Olympia and that he could keep rotating the Sandow between Kevin, Shawn and Flex Wheeler but…..he needed Dorian Yates to appeal to the European market. In short he was telling Kevin and every other black competitor that as long as Yates was around they could essentially forget about winning the big one. R@ce and business was Weiders M.O. Lee Haney was an 8 time Mr. Olympia straight through his reign but was featured on the cover of muscle and fitness rarely. Weider claimed his covers didn’t sell but That was a lie because Haney was on The covers of other respected Magazines such as Iron Man and they sold very well. And this was the 80s and 90s. That Weider was still pumping that BS narrative. Robbie Robinson in the SEVENTIES definitely was not going to win an Olympia in spite of the fact that he had a superior all around better physique than Arnold and yes Zane and Franco. So before anyone goes spouting this narrative that Robinson is just bitter, he’s lying etc…..you need to do proper research before opening your mouths and tossing out denial BS.
