In all honesty, I had no idea that Arnold injured his shin and was bleeding prior to the comp. He did a good thing hiding it from Lou and Serge in 1975
Might it have been a cut from shaving his body pre-contest? Y'know how those razor nicks can be -- although minor, they bleed profusely.
I'm a huge Pumping Iron movie fan! I was since I was a teenager back in the 80's. I've never seen this before?? It's great!! Thank you very much.
Same here! I grew up in the 70s and 80s so I'm always happy when I find new Pumping Iron footage
They tried not to show such videos, where Arnold appears in an unfavorable light for him, since Arnold was always trying to dominate and morally suppress his competitors, but here he did not understand how to be...
@@SLK638dude hush up arnold blew zane got her s..
"I gave the key to somebody" "To whom?" "To open the room"
You can tell Arnold was and is a calculating person. Mike Katz in the background analysing and him saying ‘thank you for the Advices’ put a smile on my face.
So true, he is already master minding the day and competition ahead
Thank you for the wrong advices! 👍😅
LMAO
Katz wasn’t even a pro yet. No need to give him the wrong advices.
@@Lewis-me7jr Yes you are right. Mike had other problems... he was busy looking for his t-shirt. 😅
Franco was like the older brother who kept an eye on Arnold, as it had to be.
You can see Arnold's intellect and cunning.
Love the interaction with Bill Grant.
Great footage. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
I remember reading there was over 100 hours of footage filmed. It would be good to see more of the unbroadcast footage.
All of the original footage was bought by Arnold and destroyed when he was running for governor. According to the people that shot it there was footage of him praising Hitler and nazi ideology so he made sure it never saw the light of day.
I wish to see the 100h movie ! 😊
Yeah. Arnold bought the rights to Pumping Iron in 1991. Would be great if they released it all
ya they need to release it as a collection video so all of Arnold's fans can see this, this is gold.. Literally arnold in his prime was such a stud.
when all that footage is out for all to see.
I can't wait to hear Bill Burr's take on this.
Also interesting to see that Arnold also gave Ken Waller and Bill Grant the "Lou Ferrigno treatment" when he was competing against them
Yeah, but Ken Waller was nobody’s stooge. I don’t think he could get inside kens head like he did Lou’s. I also think Arnold was afraid of Mentzer, Mentzer had a genius mind. Ultimately that’s what brought him undone. He suffered because he knew a lot about the physical, the mind, consciousness and how it all fits together, he was on a different level, unfortunately Mike after loosing his partner and father and living with the frustration of not being understood and having people listen to his council took a big toll on his mental health, contributing to his substance abuse, it’s some consolation that there were some who did listen and as you know they made great gains.
Vince Gironda was on a similar path, he understood the real essence of creating the perfect body, size and symmetry and the science that is required to achieve it,he also was not recognised for the knowledge and intellect he had, he was eccentric, and so was marginalised by the main stream, although some notables did follow his advice and were the better for it.
Zane bridged the gap and probably came the closest to perfection offering great symmetry and a decent amount of bulk, he also was like minded to Mentzer in his approach to getting the best scientific training and diet, Zane also was an academic with a mind focused on consciousness and the physical understanding the importance of balance in life, Zane was able to cope with this better than Mike, Franks long term partner may have been the difference.
The problem with bodybuilding from that era was the control the weiders had if you were not favoured by them you were really up against it. They wanted the wow factor, the freak show to build their empire on, the complete package, information, supplements, equipment, and the ultimate showcase was Arnold and his showmanship and bulk, the Weiders had a dream come true when Arnold showed up, the only threat was Sergio, the myth. He was something else.
The interview with Rodger Walker is quite an eye opener, his opinion of the Austrian oak is not very flattering, the accusations are quite shocking, if they are true, then It paints a picture of Arnold few will ever see, and the truth will kept secret. .
@robwhite461 where do i find the Roger Walker interview?

I love hearing Bill Grant talk about his weight and how fast he loses it. I can totally relate as a hard gainer. He says he's 183 lbs in that scene, but he looks pretty damn big to me. goes to show the difference between being big and puffed up and having good proportions. It's funny when he says he's wilting away..lost 8 pounds in a few days... the hardgainer life is ruff man 😆
This was absolutely fantastic. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Arnold bought up hours and hours of unseen footages of Pumping Iron, that he should rerelease!
This is pure gold never before seen footage! Arnold must have gave it to you. Are you going to interview him..?
I will probably meet him soon
@@GoldenEraBookwormi saw it on bill grants page. If you do interview arnold ask about mike katz story of both arnold and mike katz went to groccery store and arnold got impatient in long line threw roast beef on to convery belt over line of people then they turned around looked at arnold and said "is there a problem"?
Those clips are on "the pump" UA-cam page
Hope arnold releases more footage
Dint we all...I think he is working on it
Never seen this before, wow. Thanks for sharing! 👍❤ You should have Bill Grant on and ask him about this scene! Seems Bill is laying it on Arnold who took the flight without looking out for his buddies. I like how Bill turns the tables on him. Reminds me of the interview i saw of Jack Neary on John Hansen's channel, where he told a similar story (Arnold made sure he missed his flight). What i take from this is that Arnold was somewhat devious/sly wanting to sabotage anyone he deemed beneath him, competition or not. Arnold and his "tricks". 😂🤷♂
Yep, Arnold was always trying every trick to win
I've been bodybuilding since age 15 beginning in late 1971.
The film "Pumping Iron" didn't premiere until 1977, so anything I knew about Schwarzenegger was from written sources, primarily Weider's and other muscle magazines, the 1974 book "Pumping Iron", as well as an October 14, 1974, "Sports Illustrated" magazine article about bodybuilding.
Based on even those written sources, most of which cast him in favorable light, before ever seeing him "live" in the film "Pumping Iron", my initial impressions of him were of '"an asshole who'd cut his own mother's throat if it somehow served his ambitions".
I've always appreciated his work capacity, his drive, his dedication, his focus; I appreciated his physique (although I considered Sergio Oliva's at his peak in the 1972 Mr. Olympia aesthetically better than Schwarzenegger's in 1972 or at his peak in 1974); but I always considered him exactly as you describe, IronWarrior, "devious/sly, wanting to sabotage anyone".
As many of us men do after about age 60 (I'll be age 68 this June, lol) , probably for multiple reasons, his behavior in the past decade evidences he has seemed to mellow and become more considerate of others in his older age. However, he'll always remain a guy whom I'd never trust to hold the door open for me to escape a fire if he believed doing so might get himself singed.
Love how Franco bought his clothes from mothercare 😂
I wish they would just release all the footage already😔(also I heard there is 15 mins of never before seen footage on his training app)
I think he is working on it
Wow, what a gem ⚡⚡⚡⚡
Thanks, I love these behind the scenes clips
@@GoldenEraBookworm Absolutely!
Looks like Arnold was biting his nail, but Arnold was giving him the finger while covering with the other hand from the camera LOL
That's Arnold!
I got to meet Bill Grant many times in NYC. Then again when judged the Mr Jones beach. I actually took pics with him,Leon brown, Anibol lopez,Dan lurie ans Steve Mijalik in a group pic. I never got to see the photo
Thanks for sharing your story
Bill Grant had biceps like legs.
thanks Franco for the advices he got from Arnold
This behind the scenes clip is enough for me to pump some iron.
Tell me about it...time to hit the gym
Ok, this is pure gold
Bill Grant is hilarious. What an awesome video.
Very cool stuff.
Arnold said he was organising the next Mr Olympia for his mate Franco.....😂
Lol 😆
Awesome thanks brother.
No problem 👍
Arnold's mind games were astounding. I remember Lou diminishing before my eyes. Arnold is the most driven man in history.
Oh brother. Lol!
1:26 Game time for Arnold 😁
Robby Robinson telling Arnold “ The Kid is to fat” In reference to Lou Ferrigno being out of shape for contest 😂

The other guys like thanks Franco for the advice Arnold’s looking at Franco like what advice 😂 it’s me who gives him the wrong advices.
Never seen this, its a gem! Watched recently movie with Franco, it was fun!😂
Glad you like it
What movie, Beretta's Islsnd?
@@RM-306 Yes! :)
Fanrastic video bravo!!!! """Can you believe this is my last contest??"""....Arnold # 1
Thanks
when all that footage is out for all to see.
I can't wait to hear Bill Burr's take on all of this.
What's the story behind it? And who is the black bodybuilder? And what was the issue with him?
That's Bill Grant. He is almost playing with Arnold's psyche, it's hilarious
They should have kept this footage in the movie.
“Special suite, huh? Is it sweet?” 😆
Arnold showed ... beeign very stricted ...no fears
Wow! This is a" never before scene" footage. Where you get this?
Arnold & bill grants banter here is funny 😂
Good seeing Arnold here before he became super wealthy and Hollywood hit
I think he was a millionnaire before he was a movie star because of real estate
@@olivierletellier8280 yes but his investments would still be small here
When he was the Oak before he filled in the gap between his front teeth and became a socialist liberal
@@deerhunter7482he’s not really a socialist liberal. He just pretends to be one to take the focus off his millions. He’s a capitalist republican, don’t be fooled
Where did you get this from. I always wonder what happened to the films Ken Waller was shooting but maybe it didn’t have sound or wasn’t good quality. Thank you for sharing this. I believe all those guys were good friends to each other and really wanted each other to succeed.
arnold was on something here lmao
I think so too
I think he was on weed here, as same as the end of pumping iron , Arnold did cocaine too, he was a party boy
Everybody looks stoned except for Franco who always looks serious. I’ll tell you though that weed is a blessing because in the past they only had alcohol and that wouldn’t have worked. But it’s about people getting together having a good time and going for their dreams and that’s the journey.
You can tell Bill is a funny mfer reminds of one of my old friends
what was the last comment the guy made as they left the elavator?
Unless he walks in with a blonde he doesn't win.
Correct lol
@@GoldenEraBookworm Let's also put this in context, the competition was held in South Africa where people were usually separated due to the color of their skin. They had an apartheid system up until 94 i believe. Now that didn't extend as far as bodybuilding competition went, but this joke played on that fact.
I read that Arnold bought all the unseen footage and had it locked away. Where are these scenes coming from???
ARNOLD SOUNDS STONED
It kinda sounds that way lol 😆
In Raw iron they said they shot 100 hours of footage for pumping iron so there should be a lot more of it somewhere but I'm still surprised to see this
Arnold is numero Uno forever ♾️❤️
I’m born in September 2001 and crazy I can see 1975 time flies
you should really try to get all the unreleased footage
Mike Katz has really wide shoulders and ribcage
Never seen footage before
Wow this was so cool! Rare content!
1:03 Obviously, Arnold dieted too hard for this. Eating his own finger?
Lol 😆
He is actually giving Bill Grant the middle finger LOL
Moree
More coming
these guys are high as hell
❤
Frank Zane wouldn't be in this movie because he realized it was really Pumping "Arnold" and not about promoting body building as a sport. Zane is the best body builder of all time...and a better human being.
Speaking facts
Zane said that himself! It's about Arnold! Zane trained at Vince Goranda's gym.. so he said.
Is Arnold a bit drunk or something?
It's the THC from marijuana. Lot of people smoked back then too.
@@lexluger6904 ah thank you, that makes sense
Lol 😆
He is also nervous pre comp
They were so jealous of Arnold
How r they not scared that's a t-1000
Came the black guys ... very arrogant thinking they had an advantage by beeing in a bigger group .... or knowing important people .... the 3 bodyb .... didnt shooked anyhow ... saying throw it ... and see it ....
All that work and then your muscle turn to mush the minute you get off the juice.
That’s not an accurate statement by any means.
@@Avery5Bwell it pretty much is.
Arnold only won 5 Mr Olympians. He cheated on 2. Incohertz with a judge's
Gonna be honest. At 6:19, both Serge and Tom look better than Arnold in the pics. Geez, its impressive.
0:43 weed 70s vibes
This is shit where is the workout?
Great stuff 6 minutes of pumping iron footage I’ve never seen ,cheers!👏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
Arnold is one of the world's most driven men.
Add to that a lot of charisma, a high IQ and complete ruthlessness. I met him back in 1986 at Worlds Gym. You can literally feel his aura. Amazing.

ARNOLD 2024 -2034
Saw Bill post this on his page recently. Very cool clip 👏
These random behind the scenes of just them hanging n chatting in their element is always special to see 😎
Seems Arnold knew way before that this was gonna be his last show to compete in.
And Franco. .man, even well dressed you can see he was such a unit 👌
Yeah, he already knew that he would be involved in organising the Olympia the year after...looks like Franco was probing, as he was probably thinking inside, this is my chance to be Mr Olympia
@@GoldenEraBookworm Exactly what I was thinking.
No doubt they had that talk with no cameras around 🤫
@@theironforce3000 same talk in 81 too
He DID come back in 1980 and win the Mr. Olympia in Sydney, Austrailia...

Thank for this unique video. But the only, the big question is: Where/How did you get it?
One of the few times an opponent yak talks to arnold knows his weaknesses and arnold knows it…
Arnold looks stoned on marijuana
Where's the key? I don't know. I gave it to someone to open the door. Well , then check the door knob Arnold..which neither do, and both end up walking right past the key hanging from the doorknob. Should have left this scene in the original movie.
