Yay, I finally completed the Workbooks once and listened 'Attached' as an audiobook. I complain here a lot but it's only because I'm lonely and my ex doesn't care about me. I have nothing against the coaches. I have studied psychology back in uni but didn't care much for attachment styles back then and now I'm hooked. Even after Craig told me to move on I have been addicted to my ex and it's been a year of no contact. I find other women desirable but sometimes I get this urge to contact my ex and tell them how much I miss them even if they are in a new relationship. I don't know If it's actual love or just wanting to get their validation. I was anxious but in the next relationship I think I could act more like a secure person would. Atleast I think so.
My ex girlfriend has agreed to have coffee with me. We have been broken up for 15 months. Also she has been in a new relationship for a year. I'm currently dating a new lady we have been dating for three months. I'm still in love with my ex girlfriend. I hope our coffee date goes well.
Don't string along the new girl if you're still in love with your ex. She's innocent. She doesn't deserve to get her heart broken. I suggest you get your ex out of your system before jumping into a new relationship.
Could you do a video about being cheated on? I was cheated on after I literally went way about and beyond for my partner. I asked her to come home and talk about it but she wouldn’t so I just left. Now I still love her loads and sorta thinking how to get through it
Problem with the marshmellow experiment was it didn't take into factor economics. If you're hungry all the time and a marshmellow presents itself; and not knowing when the next marshmellow will show up, you will eat that marshmellow. The example presented like that makes more sense from what you're discussing when you're talking about past traumas and childhood issues.
My ex girlfriend rang and text me the other day to tell me her cat is sick, she broke up with me nearly a month ago, she says if I wanted to see the cat I could because I’ve known him since he was a kitten and she said that if anything was wrong with him she knows that I’d be there for him, is she using the cat to see me?
Yes, now set a date when its appropriate, if she says anything other than yes, it's a no, then make it clear you'd rather not talk unless she wants more.
