The only saving grace for the new Land Cruiser is that it's still built in Japan. Like you said, they didn't cheap out and send it to cheap labor countries like Mexico to build it. They're still keeping true to form by building it in Japan which takes pride in the vehicles they make. Same goes for the upcoming 4Runner. Although I'm not the biggest fan of Toyota's decisions as of late, this I admire them for. As far as pricing goes, I can't help but agree with many on here. That price tag, although much cheaper than the First Edition, is still way too high for what little you get. This should be a $35-40K vehicle at most. $57K and change and you still get cloth seats, manual seats, manual tailgate, and smaller screen. The price should reflect that so it's still a hard pass for me and many potential buyers.

@@JOSH-ge4ocexcept for that Ford's credit rating at Moody's S&P, Fitch is not as good as Toyota's. Ford's financials is not that good, they would trade their financials with Toyota in a heartbeat, their Debt to equity is more than 3x higher than Toyota. Automakers are financial institutions, they make money on getting low interest loans from Fed and use that for loans and leases from their customers buying their cars. They take massive loans from govt to finance their expansion. Toyota earns more from interest earned than interest due.Toyota also simply sells more cars than Ford is way more profitable.

5/26/34 - Thank you for your review
    I am a Toyota enthusiast
Yes the Lexus GX 550 and the 3 Land Cruisers
    Are nice looking
    And nice price to boot
However, I still prefer the 2022 and prior
    Naturally Aspirated 4 / 6 / 8 engines ... Tried and true ...
The EV / EVhybrid / Turbos not so
    Yes they are the future
But for now I'll wait till 2030-2040 for
    Reliable quality
    Economically price
    Efficiently run engines
It's not about the USA EPA
    ITS ABOUT CARBON EMISSION CREDIT
Yes I want a clean earth
It will take time for peeps to know how to take care of turbine engines
Sadly, Toyota has gone woke since Apr 2023
And sadly vehicles are disposable for the sake of profits
    Once again, you are appreciated

I love Toyota/Lexus and Honda. I work on many of them in our independent shop. Toyota had 4 prices increases on parts in 2023 and 2 so far this year. Honda had 4 price increases in 2023, I just spent about $600.00 on parts for my 2000 Honda Accord. I won't give my money to overpriced cars, no matter if they're Toyotas or Hondas. I'll keep my vehicles well maintain them for our customers. It's much more affordable for them and avoid the monthly payments, higher insurance and interest rates.

I personally prefer the NA 5th Gen 4Runner (I just can't get past the 4 Cyl gas turbo...that said, I might buy a 4 cyl diesel turbo if one is ever offered.) I guess in 3 to 5 years we'll know how reliable the Japan built 4 cyl gas turbo is.
