Hey guys, just an update on the bike. I recently removed a lot of these parts and not that any bad but I purchased a second bike to use for touring and wanted to remove some of the extras off of the rocket. I did remove the rack on the back along with the GT backrest because I didn’t anticipate having a passenger . I remove the saddlebags in the brackets and got the R blank out plates and a new undertail piece to cover the holes from the brackets I removed the Corbin passenger back rest. I also switched from the GT controls to the R controls which is a world of difference doing this. I may not need that driver back rest daily. That’s probably gonna come off the bike a couple things that did stay on right now from the video is the windshield even though I went down to the shorter windshield and I leave it and the lowest setting, it’s still actually works really well Throw the air over my head and my helmet pretty good. The hand guards are still on for now with the windshield, but I am thinking about going back to the factory windscreen and selling off those parts , in the end from this video I am I won’t have a lot of the custom stuff left on it. I do have the rear full tail hugger installed an extension on the front fender and that’s just to keep some of the dirt and rainwater off the bike and off of me that’s probably gonna stay on the Corbin Cito probably stay on with out the back rests, and yeah you know I think that’s about it other than the phone mount and the other of the bar extensions those are those worked out pretty good so another video coming out on the dark channel not really how to it’s just a quick figure out how to put the controls on from the GT controls And hopefully when that’s done editing it’ll help somebody out, like comment and subscribe , to all who watched and like thank you we appreciate it
Thanks for the video, I am getting my new R in April and already have the Garmin Zumo XT2 but had no idea that I would need a special mounting plate to install it centered until I watched your video and I have 2 questions. - What size bolts did you end up using for that with the risers? - I have the Garmin mounting kit that came with my Zumo XT2, is that sufficient to bring the Zumo above the TFT or did you use another mod for that?
No problem! Oh nice! So for your first question my friend just took the bolts to a local hardware store and matched the threads to longer bolts. He forgot what size bolts he got though. As for your second question he said that he doesn’t know because he doesn’t have that.
@@johnnyboy1586 I’m am big on anti size I use it at work all the time. However I if there wasn’t any from the factory same with lock tight I wouldn’t add it until I see a need for it. I have had bad experiences torquing with a wrench the only time I use one is when putting the wheels back on a car or truck lol.
Haha ya, Unfortunately, I believe I did not have box wrench the correct size that day with me. 🤷🏼♂️ I also aint gunna lie I pack a pair on the road with a crescent wrench
Looks like they have some on eBay? www.ebay.com/itm/126258099972?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=KXqj-hgnTMu&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=OgJp-5bPS5W&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

The windshield and seat fits real nice 👌😎
Oh yes it does
I have a Corbin seat for my Triple Black GT. A few washers under the pin did the trick.
Oh nice! Yeah that’s what he ended up doing and it worked perfectly!
IT IS A EXCELLENT VIDE0! GREAT JOB!!

Where did ypu buy the rear mud guard rear fender i mean
Use a torque wrench, steel into ally easy stripped
And good idea to put copper grease on tread to stop the two metals reacting

Where did you buy just the brackets for the luggage rack? I can't find them seperate.
You should be able to get the brackets directly from Triumph because those came from the factory.
Channel locks should be outlawed! Spooky!

Is there a crash bar or guard available for this motorcycle? I have the R3GT and not able to find any.. 😕

@@DarkRoast thanks for the response. I checked this sometime back. The reviews are not positive. It says the holes are not aligned.
