I used 16 gauge with a fork crimp and cut one tip off and plugged the other in. Worked great 👍🏼

Aloha my friend. 2 things to suggest.
1 if you plan on running more than 1kw, I would suggest larger wires from the block to the inverter. Under heavy load, voltage drop will be more pronounced. 2. Lithium iron phosphate can be tricky on the state of charge. You can move up to 50% soc at the same voltage. Just a heads up, mahalo

Just bear in mind that the outlets on the inverter are only 1500 watts max, each. To get the full 3kw you'll need to use the hardwire terminal block into a sub panel or your distribution panel.

Thanks for paving the way for me. I've been wondering which inverter to get. I have been looking at some other videos and I have seen some setups where the negative bus is actually grounded to a copper rod that is hammered into the soil. However, I'm not sure if such a ground is required for all setups. Would you happen to know?
I'm happy to do so JR. Over 25 years I've done both with ground rods. My first 8 years or so went without. It was always a subject of debate with the local installer/ salesperson, but he said didn't really matter too much on my system which is about the size I'm running now. But after about eight years of running without one, I added one and within 1 year I took a direct lightning strike to my cabin, and most my electrical got fried. Ground rod didn't make any difference on direct hit...at all. Even appliance's unplugged were fried on the static charge. That's extreme of course, but I will probably add one here as well, but haven't in over 10 years of constant use. Of course I took a direct lightning hit here too which everything electric pretty much got fried too....so either way in that case I lost some things. Lightning follows me around quite a bit...I've had several close calls with it. Even my old golf buddies used to steer clear of me when a storm was near!....aloha
All that being said earlier, a nearby strike, and not a direct hit could still produce enough static charge to cause some damage, as well as other factors that could too. So I'll be adding one just for some insurance, be it real, or imagined.
@@ProjectsinParadise808 that is very interesting. I never considered the static charge of a direct hit. I'm terrified of lighting. Not because it could kill me, but because if it did kill me I would become the legend in my family of the guy who got killed by lightning. I can hear it now, johnny, come inside right now before you get hit by lightning like your great, great, great grandfather. I wouldn't be able to get any rest. If grounding it doesn't hurt anything, I'll do it too. Thanks for your help.
The earth ground is more for grid systems than to protect from a strike. It's main function is the outside cases or metal appliances have a 0v reading to the earth ground. If a washing machine has a metal water line coming up from the ground. And it's in the same circuit with an appliances that has the Line wire swapped with the neutral by mistak. The other appliance case and the washing machine case would have the difference of the voltage across them. If you or anything conducive touches both at the same time, the voltage would be felt. What is the largest amp draw you were able to get out of this battery? Saw another video where the BMS shut off with anything about 100 amps
biggest draw I've subjected it to so far is about 15 amps. I don't really have anything i use regularly that pulls much more than that...🤙
It shuts off at like 96 amps
Does your system support a well pump or A/C? Living in the SE States I have to have at least a mini-split covering about 550 Sq. Ft.. Although my well pump is 220Volt from a 500' aquifer.....I welcome any and all suggestions.
Currently I don't have a well system or air conditioning here. Catch rain water here, and no need for air conditioning either. But when I lived in Colorado, had basically same size system and a well at 160 ft. depth, but always used a generator to pump from well to cistern, then solar system from cistern to house. you need to make sure your fridge and other higher amp thing will start with that reliable 3000 watt inverter. i just bought a reliable 3000 watt inverter and it wont start my fridge or my freezer with 2/0 wire and 400 ah batteries crown 205 it start fine with my aims 2500 watt...inverter... the reliable inverter it like needs 13 volts it will work fine as long there is solar going in to your battery bank with your charge controller. try it just with your battery and no solar going in to your battery like it night time .. i think all these reliable inverter have bad capacitor in them some other people are saying the same thing in all the reviews I JUST DON'T WANT TO SEE ANY MORE PEOPLE GET RIPPED OFF>>>WITH THIS RELIABLE INVERTER....
