Personally I liked both sides, but would recommend less resin mixed with the Epson salts. I used dried used coffee grounds mixed with Epson salts and very little resin for a tree ring mold pour. The outer bark looks real and very textured.
I like the completely different effect you achieved. It is completely different, yet very pretty. With all of that extra surface, yes the salt will “produce” a lot more bubbles. If you were more so after the “geode” look, then you could initially put less clear resin in the salt. Just enough to hold it all together so you can make your thin (thinner, so you don’t feel it’s taken over) wall in the centre, while making sure it is tall enough to stop resin going over the top for most of the working time. Ensuring your resin has thickened somewhat will help with this. But like i said, it turned out different than expected, but still very pretty.
Nice work! I think that these could be cut into squares or rectangles or other shapes to make really pretty pieces of jewelry like a pendant. Just a thought.
@@cedarhollowcreations Thanks and I am glad you think so. I want to get into this hobby but I will be moving soon so I have to wait for a while. You have some great ideas so I am subbed now. 👍👍😊
Oh! I love them!❤
I would have thought the Epsom salts would break down. Like you, I like the top part better
Nice. Great idea. I’m going to try to mix some color into the salt.
Good idea ♡

Hmmm, I’ll have to test this out. I want to see if the heat gun I have might get more bubbles out.
They look really pretty to me.
Let me know if that works? I'm curious...
I think there very beautiful
Thank you!
