We talked to Orvis’ Director of Product Development Shawn Combs at the Fly Fishing Show to ask him some questions about what we can expect from tomorrow’s announcement. Given the secrecy, it sounds MAJOR (maybe a Helios 4?!)

I will never buy so much as a spool of Orvis tippet again. They drove a local fly shop in Knoxville, Tennessee, out of business that had been there for a long time before Orvis decided to move into the neighborhood. That may be capitalism, but Orvis will never get another penny from me.

@@SkunkedAgainFishing good news. However, Three Rivers Angler is out of business. My decision to buy ABO (Any But Orvis) is purely dealistic. I had no friendships at TRA, but I hate to see local businesses driven out of business by out-of-state corporations.
