The only feedback except for that this is amazing is:
Some of the helmets you showed were outdated or hadn't been invented yet like the chalcidian helmet.
Some of the cuirasses were a hybrid between bell cuirasses and mucle cuirasses, with them having the swirl pattern that is common with bell cuirasses, and the anatomy of the muscle ones.
Also the insides of the shield were mising the rope that goes all the way around.
Note: I don't have any certifications so correct me if im wrong in any of these points.

Hi, thanks for the feedback, so glad you liked the film :-))
I believe there are some finds of Chalcidian helmets from around 500 BC, for example here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chalcidian_helmet#/media/File:Greek_-_Chalcidian-Type_Helmet_-_Walters_542468.jpg
I think Attic helmets with hinged cheek pieces were pretty modern for 490 BC, on the other hand, I believe I've seen it in some representations of the battle of Marathon...
You are right, I dont have any proof for hybrids of bell and muscle cuirasses, I just thought, heck, at the time of 490 BC there COULD have been some bronzesmith who combined the outdated bell with a more modern muscle cuirass. I wanted Nikephoros to be a bit unique in his outlook :-)
I have the rope sometimes in my shots, but yeah, to save time simulating its movement, I sometimes omitted it.. or forgot to add it :-D
Cheers, and thanks for the comment! :-)

@@MartinKlekner I think I need to sharpen my ancient greek helmet knowledge cuz when I see a helmet with hinged cheekpieces and a little bit of "nose protection" I immediately think that it's a chalcidian helmet.
Also, I think I saw some illyrian helmets. Maybe that would have been possible if u weren't extremely rich and just inherited it from your great great great great grandpa.
Other then that, great work with the video! I think my favorite part was the shot where we see the transition between Alkaios holding his wooden sword to the real one at platea. 26:38

I think it's supposed to take place around the time of the battle of Marathon when Greece stopped Perisas first advance from controlling the west

Liked! Subscribed! Shared! and commented! excellent work! I would pay upwards of $100 for a full comprehensive course on working with MD specifically for Blender 3D. Perhaps a live paid course for Pros looking to intergrate MD and blender more.
