Good evening, I am not an expert when it comes to the Vox brand. I only have one modeling combo at home with a medium power level and a couple of pedals simulating this legendary brand. The mentioned preamp pedal sounds very nice, the setting and control options are great. I don't have a Vox tube combo, but this might be a good way to achieve his sound in an affordable way.
