Play it back to 4:53 - 4:58...if you pay attention you will notice the guy in the white shirt holding a basketball is a young Mark Wahlberg, that's Donnie's baby brother Donnie was Step #2 and both of them are actors, also Step #3, the one singing is Jordan Knight and Step #5 is his older brother Jonathan Knight.
Just to help you out to know who is who:
    Step #1: Danny Wood
    Step #2: Donnie Wahlberg
    Step #3: Jordan Knight
    Step #4: Joey McIntyre
    Step #5: Jonathan Knight

New sub here. This video brought me to your channel, but I like that you react to a wide variety of stuff! Definitely will be checking out some of your other reactions.
Just a little background on the group since you commented on the dancing…most of them were breakdancers bused to the same neighborhood New Edition were from when Boston was desegregating the schools. They were started by the same producer as NE (Maurice Starr), with Donnie being discovered while rapping and breakdancing in a park. Groups like Backstreet Boys & *NSYNC were modeled after them after their massive success, as they were essentially the biggest pop act in the world in the late 80s/early 90s. Might I suggest reacting to their song Single ft Ne-Yo from 2008.

A very steppin' reaction 🦶🦶! I see 👁👁 you have reacted to New Kids On The Block before: Please Don't Go Girl. Step By Step (Remix) was the first release from New Kids On The Block's 1990 album: Step By Step. It was written and produced by Maurice Starr. It (Remix) sampled: Apache by Incredible Bongo Band (1973), Can You Party by Royal House (1988), Funky Drummer by James Brown (1970) and Hot Pants (Bonus Beats) by Bobby Byrd (1987). The song reached #1 on the Hot 100 and #48 on the R&B chart. It was also a Top 10 hit in Finland, Greece, Australia, France, New Zealand, Canada, West Germany, Spain, Norway, UK and Ireland. The music video was directed by Lawrence Jordan and featured rapper-actor Marky Mark.
Maurice Starr wrote this song in 1986 and first recorded it with another group he was working with, an African-American boy band called: The Superiors. Their original version was released on Motown Records in 1987 and failed to chart. So, Maurice Starr re-recorded the song with NKOTB three years later.
Jordan Knight sings lead on the song, but in the bridge, each member gets a line detailing each step. They are:
Danny Wood: Step 1, we can have lots of fun
Donnie Wahlberg: Step 2, there's so much we can do
Jordan Knight: Step 3, it's just you and me
Joey McIntyre: Step 4, I can give you more
Jonathan Knight: Step 5, don't you know that the time has arrived
The song was featured in the film 📽: Return To Legoland (2021).
The song has been featured in the TV shows-movies 📺: The Brittany Murphy Story (2014), Running Man (2010) and Electric Dreams (2009).
    Critical reception 🗣:
Bill Coleman from Billboard wrote: "Unstoppable teen idols preview upcoming album of the same name with a perky pop/dance confection rife with disco-era string fills. The phenomenon continues".
Greg Sandow from Entertainment Weekly praised "Step by Step" as "a wonderfully ingratiating morsel of pop. It’s nourished by a chugging beat and (for dessert, so to speak) offers perky Disco strings and a brief flash of silver falsetto from New Kid Jordan Knight".
Ben Thompson from NME commented, "The New Kids can be forgiven a certain caution as to where they are putting their feet, given their recent run-in with a malevolent cuddly toy. Excepting some nice Saturday Night Fever fake strings, all potential points of interest have been relentlessly expunged from this record".
In their review of the album, People Magazine found that the music "is in fact better in spots than on their previous effort", noting that the song is "funkier".
Rolling Stone described it as "a peppy reintroduction to the group that breaks up its generalized pledges of devotion with quick spots from each member, one-liners coyly called "ad libs" on the lyric sheet, although they're faithfully printed. Nothing but nothing on this record happens by chance".
    Legacy🛡:
The song was voted #4 in a Smash Hits poll of "Best Boyband Songs...Ever" and also made the list of the top 30 Guilty Pleasures on About.com's music site.
The song was voted #7 in a viewer poll of the greatest boy band/girl band songs on New Zealand show UChoose40. It was also voted #1 in a viewer poll of the greatest Guilty Pleasures on the same show.
In August 2007, it was confirmed that the song would be part of a 30-song track list in the new edition of the SingStar series titled: SingStar 90s, a karaoke style video game on classic '90s songs.
Furthermore, it was chosen as part of a 32-track dance video game in November 2009 for the Wii, called: Just Dance.
In January 2015, Heat magazine's TV Channel placed it at #17 in their "Greatest Boyband Anthems" countdown.
    Lyrics (Remix) 🗒:
    Step by step, ooh, baby
    Gonna get to you, girl
    Step by step, rah
    Step by step, ooh, baby
    Gonna get to you, girl
    Step by step, ooh, baby

(Step two) there's so much we can do
(Step three) it's just you and me
(Step four) I can give you more
(Step five) don't you know that the time has arrived?
    Huh!
    Step by step
Don't you know I need you?
    Step by step
    Yes, I do girl
    ooh, baby
    You're always on my mind
    (Step by step) ooh, girl
I really think it's just the matter of time
Step by step (step by step, girl), ooh, baby
Gonna get to you, girl (to you, girl)
Step by step (yeah, ooh, baby, I want you, I need you)
Really want you in my world (I want you in my world)
    Step by step (ooh, ooh-ooh)
To you, girl (ooh, hoo, hoo, ooh)
    Step by step, oh, girl

    Step by step, ooh baby
    NKOTB Info 📰:
New Kids on the Block aka NKOTB is a Boy Band singing group from Dorchester, Massachusetts. The band consists of brothers Jonathan Knight and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood. NKOTB enjoyed major success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The discography of NKPTB consists of eight studio albums, seven compilation albums, one EP, thirty-one singles, twenty-six music videos and six home videos. They had sold more than 17.5 million albums in the United States alone and over 80 million records worldwide.
In the early 1980s, Maurice Starr discovered Boston, Massachusetts Pop/R&B quintet New Edition, and guided their early success. After breaking ties with New Edition in 1983, Maurice Starr and his business partner, Mary Alford, sought to create a white counterpart act. Fifteen-year-old Donnie Wahlberg impressed Maurice Starr and Mary Alford with his rapping skills, becoming the group's first member. He was initially joined by his younger brother Mark Wahlberg, who left the group after only a few months. Donnie Wahlberg then recruited his school friends Jamie Kelly, Jordan Knight and Danny Wood to join the group; Jordan Knight was followed into the group by his older brother Jonathan Knight, while Jamie Kelly left the group soon after joining.
When a search was made to find a Michael Jackson-esque singer to replace Jamie Kelly, Maurice Starr recruited 12-year-old Joey McIntyre, who initially struggled to fit in with the group. With the group's final lineup in place, Maurice Starr rehearsed the boys after school and on weekends, and eventually secured the group a recording contract at Columbia Records.
Originally, the group was called Nynuk (pronounced "na-nook"). Nikki Van Noy, author of the group's official biography, wrote in 2012 that the name Nynuk is "meaningless", although a 1989 article by Rolling Stone suggested a possible connection to Nanook of the North. Columbia Records demanded Maurice Starr change the name of the group. Subsequently, they settled on New Kids On The Block, after a rap song that Donnie Wahlberg had written and arranged for their first album. The group was signed to Columbia Records Urban Music Division and originally marketed to Urban audiences.
NKOTB released their debut single: "Be My Girl", in 1986. It peaked at #90 on the R&B chart. Their first album: New Kids On The Block, was released the same year, and although not a big immediate success at the time, it managed to sell three million copies in the US after almost three years after its release, eventually being certified three times Platinum.
In 1988, they released their second and most successful album to date: Hangin' Tough, which peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart and sold more than 8 million copies in the US alone. The album produce the singles: "Please Don't Go Girl" (#10 Pop, #55 R&B), "You Got It (The Right Stuff)" (#3 Pop, #28 R&B), "I'll Be Loving You (Forever)" (#1 Pop, #12 R&B), "Hangin' Tough" (#1 Pop) and "Cover Girl" (#2 Pop). The group began making national televised appearances on such TV music programs as The Arsenio Hall Show, It's Showtime At The Apollo, Soul Train, as well as performing live at the 1989 Kids' Choice Awards. The album won two AMAs for "Best Pop/Rock Album" and "Best Pop/Rock Group". They also went on their first tour: Hangin' Tough (1988).
The group then released a Christmas album: Merry Merry Christmas (1989), which produced the Top-10 single: "This One's For The Children" (#7 Pop, #27 Adult Contemporary), while selling two million copies. The proceeds of the single were donated to United Cerebral Palsy, the NKOTB favorite charitable cause.

Afterwards, they released the single: "Step By Step" (#1 Pop, #48 R&B), from their album: Step By Step, in May of 1990. It remains the band's biggest-selling single to date selling three million copies. The album topped both the Billboard 200 Album chart and the UK Album chart. CBS Music Video put out the group's third home video, also called: Step By Step, which had more than 500,000 advance orders, becoming the largest initial shipment of home videos for the company. The group then embarked on a two year tour called: Summer Magic Tour, from 1990 to 1992.
The tour ultimately grossed $74 million making them the top-grossing touring act in the country at the time and one of the highest-grossing concert tours of the decade, with overall attendance of 3.2 million people. Their 1990 pay-per-view special broke records at the time. During this time, NKOTB licensed merchandise flooded the market, including lunch boxes, buttons, t-shirts, blankets, bed sheets, pillow cases, comic books by Harvey Comics and replica group dolls. In 1991, sales of the group's merchandise was estimated at $400 million.
In 1993, NKOTB went back into the studio and began recording their fifth studio album: Face The Music, before splitting up a year later. By this point, due to a strong backlash and allegations of lip-synching, the group pushed for a more mature image and focused on recording songs that would appeal to their aging fans. In addition, they had outgrown the "New Kids On The Block" name as Joey McIntyre was 21, Jordan Knight was 23, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood were 24, and Jonathan Knight was 25 years old.
Jordan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood fought for more creative input and control on the album, as most of their material was previously rejected by producer Maurice Starr in favor of his own compositions. Having been long been dogged with an "uncool" stigma, the group decided to sever their ties with Maurice Starr, who had been instrumental in their early success. At the request of Columbia Records, they shortened their name to the more mature-sounding NKOTB. Instead of the Bubblegum and teen pop songs that established the group in the music industry, their new album was built around a more up to date R&B and New Jack Swing sound.
The album's lead single: "If You Go Away", peaked at #16 on the Hot 100. The album's second single: "Dirty Dawg" (#66 Pop), caused some controversy as the music video for the song was banned by the Canadian music video channel: MuchMusic, banned the music video due to its suggested violence and misogynistic themes. Although the album wasn't a major commercial success, the critical reception was positive, and a cross-country tour was in the works. However, NKOTB quickly found that they could only get bookings at nightclubs and theatres, a far cry from the arenas and stadiums they had been accustomed to playing in while in their peak years.
During the tour, Jonathan Knight dropped out of the band due to increased panic attacks and anxiety. Faced with the fact that their fanbase had grown up and moved on to Grunge and Gangsta Rap, the rest of the group decided to cease touring and NKOTB went on hiatus until 2007. In 2007, the group reunited to record an album: The Block (2008), and mounted a concert tour in 2008. Since then the group has released another studio album: 10 (2013), and have continued to tour annually together.
In March 2024, the group announced that their eighth album: Still Kids, would be released on May 17, 2024. The album is the group's first in eleven years and was preceded by the first single and music video for the single: "Kids", on March 5, 2024. The group, along with opening acts Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff, will embark on the NKOTB Magic Summer 2024 Tour in June of 2024.
