This is exactly right! I had to go to their concert to take my friend’s little sister and we were simultaneously cracking up at all these little girls freaking out for the boys all the while bopping to the music.
I've been binge watching your videos. This one right here has gained you a new subscriber. Would love you to react to some of their newer stuff. Still Kids, Summertime, Boys in the Band....
I just turned 50 and am going to see New Kids in Toronto in August - with Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff. This is one of their best - and the video for The Right Stuff is just as fun. Dare you to watch it next ;)

8:14 Yes Donnie Wahlberg is in this group. Mark was also part of New Kids back in the beginning. I believe that they came out before Vanilla Ice. NKOTB is 80s and Ice is 90s. They were always treated as a “boy band” and if you liked them you got teased but I didn’t care. Their new music is pretty good. “Boys in the Band” is fun. They take you through history of boy bands with it. “Bring Back the Time” they mimic other 80s music videos. Two of their old songs that are a bit on the softer side is “Tonight” and “This One’s For The Children”
😂 I'm 47 and I find myself randomly singing Hanging Tough or Right Stuff while doing the dishes. Just out of the blue despite not having heard the song in forever.
First boy band for me was NKOTB. I will be 48 this year. I’ve been a blockhead since the start of them in 86. Just found you on UA-cam and love it. So glad I did. Hello from MN! I misss the 90’s too!!!!!
Just got off off from working a 12 hour shift at the hospital and had so much fun listening to this reaction! This was my first concert! Sooooooo good! I danced along the entire time. lol
Oh my gosh, I had to take my friend’s 12 yr old little sister to the new kids on the block concert ( I was maybe 20 or 21) and I never saw such a sight.. the number of little girls between 8-14 yrs old at this concert screaming and losing their shit was mind blowing. While it was not a concert that I was looking to go to and was kind of pushed to go, I ended having fun. My first boy band concert was New Edition.
hahaha I remember I went to the concert with a group of friends and we were all around 12, and my friend's dad came inside as a chaperone. He must've thought it was hilarious to be stuck among a bunch of singing and screaming little girls!! Funny story: I was not as into them as all my friends were at the time, it took me a little time to get there, haha. So during the concert, at one point I was doing something, looking in my bag or talking to someone, daydreaming, maybe looking at Donnie (my favorite) and Joe apparently sung to me and spoke to me and told me I was so pretty, and I missed the whole damn thing! hahaha. All my friends came running up to me screaming "omg!!!! Joe spoke to youuuuuu!! He said you were pretty!!!! Ahhhhh!!!" .... and in typical me fashion, I missed the whole thing, hahaha.
I am 49 and my sister, who was 2 years younger than me, played NKOTB endlessly and now I play it for my own listening and sing along with it all the time.
Recently saw them live on the mixtape tour was amazing still. Never got to see them when i was a lil girl. Truly the most fun i had a concert for nostalgic purposes.
So glad you brought up fashion.. 80s and 90s started the days when you could look to dee what someone was wearing and you immediately knew the genre they listened to... Another Banger reaction from Black Pegasuuuus
This song came out in 1990. I was in high school, and I remember how all the girls owned the cassette to the album. Music in the late 1980s to early 90s was amazing.
All of them but for Joey are in their late 50’s. Joey is the baby of the group at 51. Jordan I think is 56. I absolutely loved your video. You knew the words and everything! Please do more from our generation!!
I still love them today! I have never missed a concert. Going to their concerts now is like you showed up to their house party and everyone in the audience are like friends who have always known each other. It is an intimate nostalgic event! Their guest performers have always been awesome!
Fabulous era of music!! ❤ Maybe next you can check out some British boy and girl bands: Take That (Relight my Fire) Five (Everybody Get Up) Spice Girls (Spice up your life, Say You’ll Be There) Mis-Teeq (Scandalous) And then if you wanna get dating, some 90s Euro Dance: La Bouche (Be my lover) Corinna (Rhythm of the night, Baby baby) Dr Alban (Sing Hallelujiah) Moloko (Bring it back) Bom funk MC (Freestyler)
Bro, I was here for every second of this! As a NKOTB fan when I was a child, this song STILL slaps, even today, in my late 30s. Need to see you react to Hangin’ Tough and You Got It (The Right Stuff) for us nostalgic members! Not even lying when I say this has been on my forever playlist for 30 years.
They put on a great live concert and share plenty of stage time with the other artists on the tour. I saw them last tour with Rick Astley Salt n Peppa and En Vogue. Was my first time 4 all 4 artits. All put on a great show.
The term boy band was not established until the 1980s when Lou Pearlman decided to form a new singing group in the style of New Kids on the Block. But one of the earliest all-male groups that achieved international fame as a "boy band" was the Ink Spots, formed in 1932.
I was going to mention the Ink Spots. I have never heard of them but when he asked what was the first boy band I did a Google search & that is what popped up. Now I have to find their music. Growing up in the 80's & 90's I always considered New Edition to be the first boy band.
Oh wow, you and my friend in Australia are die hard, she is the same! haha. She paid to go backstage and meet them and get a photo with them last time, and I think they even had an after party that you could pay for, haha.
Yes!!! Thanks for this BP. I had everything New Kids when I was a girl. Blankets, pillows, pictures, magazines. So nostalgic but still hits today at least IMO
They still make music and sound just as awesome as the 90's... You should watch "Bring Back The Time" with Rick Astley, they make a memorial of a couple of music videos of that time. ❤
The manager behind new edition put them together. He wanted to recreate the popularity of NE for a white audience even though most would listen to both lol. Donnie wrote and produced Good Vibrations for his brother Mark, who was close to being one of the Kids.
Blockheads unite I had the dolls, tour vhs's, books, sheets, sleeping bags, curtains, and all the posters team Joey! And it was my first ever concert! ❤
I once ironically put this in the playlist - and found myself so hyped and dancing down the street to work That I refuse to see this song in any way less than a classic! Maurice Starr put together New Edition - and then NKOTB I grew up at an amazing time when Bobby Brown left New Edition, they put out an absolute classic with Johnny Gill in his place - and simultaneously the rise of NKOTB.....walking through a mall, and hearing these absolute dance/soul classics.... Oh wow, you're taking me down memory lane, I love your reactions! I was also singing and dancing along. I have probably not heard this song for 10-15 years. I was about 12-13 when it came out and all my friends were crazy for NKOTB. About 10 years ago they did a world tour and my friend, almost 40, was STILL obsessed with them and paid extra to meet them backstage! haha. Those were the days, as you say there was also.... Boys II Men and New Edition.... BBD, Bobby B every little step, Luther Vandross, Jodeci, Whats the 411, You've got that viiibe, ooooh on the TLC tip! ... late 80s/early to mid 90s, those were the days, boy do I miss em, haha.
This might be my favorite reaction from you! NKOTB was my first concert as a child and I was obsessed. This song always makes me happy, so I absolutely loved your enthusiasm.
I didn't get into New Kids until last September or October when they came out with that Toy Story-themed promo for their upcoming summer tour. I was curious, so I started listening to "Step by step" first, and I was hooked. New Kids did a collab with New Edition in 2008 called "Full Service". It's a cool song.
There's actually Marky Mark in this video 😁 For a brief moment, the guy with the green basketball 😉 And yes, the guy on the motorcycle is his older brother.
Marky Mark was the original 2nd member of NKOTB after Maurice Starr (who also put together New Edition) got Donnie to find some people to put together a group - but left before Jordan Knight and co joined.
Yes, that's the first time I noticed this!! (or maybe I knew this years ago). He's with the basketball with his older brother Donnie on the bike, he was just the kid brother at the time, haha. I used to love "bad boy" Donnie. This is probably Mark's first time he was ever in the spotlight, he was probably early teens.
While my friends were into NKOTB, they weren’t a band I gravitated toward in my youth. However, I enjoyed this little trip down memory lane, and LOVED you thoroughly enjoying every moment of this song! Thank you for this gift!!😊
Oh shiiiiiit this group was my first crush ever (donnie) and I STILL have one or two tapes from them from when I was a kid. I also remember having a birhgt pink lunchbox with them on it and a sleeping tshirt with them on it too 😂😂😂 💜 oh, and the donnie doll 😂 he had a frickin rat tail.
Everyone had a favorite, for some reason none of my friends were into Donnie, mostly Jordan and Joe, but my fave was always Donnie... he had the "rough" bad boy edge haha. It's funny, because when I look at the video now, he is still the cutest one to me. So my taste was pretty much already defined when I was 12, haha.
They had a lot of "big songs," and they still are performing and making new music! Me and my now Xbff, attended their Boston concert in 2021, amazing trip! I live in Phoenix and we flew to Boston. I even made videos about the trip! #blockhead4life They all still got...the right stuff!
I remember this coming out when I was about 10 years old and my dad was stationed in Guam. Thanks for bringing me back to my childhood. I appreciate you bro. God bless.
Mark was in the band when they first started, he left to do his own thing. Donnie Wahlberg is the one that stayed (he's now on Blue Bloods). Mark is Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.
Omg u just took me back ❤ to being a teenager. I got to go to their concert in Philly when I was like 14-15 came home swearing Joey was waving just to me in crowd 😂 too freaking funny! Saw them again think it was bout 5 yrs ago in Atlantic City with Salt & Peppa…. Naughty by Nature…..Tiffany….. and Debbie Gibson….. and gotta say NKOTB they were only ones who jumped down in crowd….. I actually got high five from Donnie (converted my ass right back to little teenager jumping around losing my mind) it was just an amazing show all together! Anyways thank you for making me smile and just remember the great times it was like back in day! Loved it!!!!! ❤ needed this!!!!
Donnie was my favorite too. My best friend loved Jordan. We would go to their concerts together and scream our heads off 😂. It's so funny how we all picked one to fall in love with. Figures I picked the "bad boy" 😂❤
I loved Donnie too! None of my friends liked Donnie, mostly Jordan and Joe. And looking back at this video, I can still say, Donnie is the cutest, haha. I guess my "type" was already defined at 12 years old LOL
Awww the 90’s when we didn’t know what we were heading for and thought the world would be the same. I’ve been a blockhead since the start in 86! New Edition was the reason.. I so miss the 90’s. The music. Dancing. Big hair was still in! New to your channel. Please do a New edition like Mr Telephone man. One of my favs!
Hanging Tough...ugh...o weee oh weeeee ohhhhhhh ugh...I was too grown for them, I was 17 when this was big and I was busy banging my head to real rock music but it's pop culture history and they deserve to be acknowledged for the 40 somethings I guess...lol

Yep my younger sister loved the New Kids...or NKOTB. My I was listening to hard rock/metal, then shrew out of it quick and was listening to my music. Yes the New Kids were everywhere on everything, and the merchandising was insane. I don't know about the Swifie stuff, but I do remember about the New Kids hysteria.
I love it, this brings back good memories, the good old days when it was so fun, I so miss it and what a great dance moves from Jordan Knight. Great reaction 😄👍
Donnie Walberg is Mark's older brother. Donnie is the one on the motorcycle in this video. Mark is shown a few times in this video as a younger boy. One spot in this video, where Donnie is sitting on his motorcycle and smiling with young Mark next to him. So cute. ❤
I remember years ago, I told this old lady at work that the Beatles were a boy band she bit my head off....still staying with it, they are a boy bad, so was the Jackson 5, Menudo, New Kids, Back Street Boys, New Edition and so on....
Donnie Walberg is in this group. Mark was in this video too though. He was holding the green basketball when he went up to Donnie sitting on the motorcycle. The youngest member will be 52 this year the oldest will be 56.

My FIRST concert at RFK Stadium in Washington DC!! I was 14 years old it was 1987 and I was soooo excited!!! ❤❤❤ I still am!!!!
Its great to see a NKOTB reaction. I love this song. Nostalgia is right. ❤
Donnie Wahlburg is in NKOTB; Mark was Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch “Good Vibrations”
cant express what this video did for my soul. i needed this. Thank you
Oh. My. Word.
You just took me back to 1990 and I'm 15 again... 💕💕
I was a senior in high school and this was everywhere!!! But I was a country music girl!!! 😜
I still have my cassette tape of these guys... I think I was like 4 or 5 years old when I got it.
I was obsessed with them starting at age 5 and at 39 I’m still obsessed with them. They came out with new music recently… Donnie was my favorite
Loved this!!!! Memory Lane 😂
50 somethings...lol I am 50 and this was what girls loved when I was 12.
17 wasn’t “ too grown” lol. Their fan demographic was anywhere from 5-25 year old females. Lol.
@@nielgregory108 yes, but I would say that 40-50 years old today would be the fans from back then.
@@MelaniaX-l2gYup. I'm 47. This was Jr High for me.
@@Justyna_N I just had moved into heavy metal and older southern rock and I was not into boy bands but many friends were and then my kids were so the universe made sure I got my share of it all. :)
Nostalgia! My first concert at 14 😂 love your dancing we need more joy screw the people who are too cool to enjoy the fun
Thanks for making me literally laugh out loud BP 😂
I was 15 when i saw NKOTB. Im 47 now. My 16 year old daughter has stolen my sheets, cassettes, and all of my memorabilia. Lol. Amazing music
I took my daughter (36) to see them on tour with En Vogue, Salt n Pepa, and Rick Astley last year. (I’m 57). That concert was lit.
Donnie Wahlberg is in this group. He's the muscular one lifting weights. Mark Wahlberg was a solo artist who went by marky Mark and the funky bunch. You should react to his video Good vibrations. There's some '90s nostalgia for you! Love that song
The one lifting weights is Danny. Donnie is the one riding the motorcycle.
OMG…..Uk 44 year old here….your bringing back my mad crush on joey 🤣🤣 these boys melted hearts back in the day 🙄🤣
I got to see them, ludicrous, salt n Pepa, and vanilla ice in the I Love the 90s tour. It was epic
Danny Wahlberg is a actor on Bluebloods another has a TV show and he renivated old Farmhouses he has a show on TV also.Of vourse Mark is a Hollywood actor. The New Kids dtill performing shows and concerts
I took my 12 yr old daughter to this concert, she's 40 now.....
I'm your daughter's age, haha.... I just talked above about how I went with a group of friends when I was 12, and my dad's friend was our chaperone
Do it, do it, do it...bring on the Boyz To Men!!!
OMG! NKOTB! That takes me back 😆❤️
I've never seen you dance so much to a song! 😂 love the vibes
It's always great to see a reactor really get into the music. You were definitely feeling it.
The Beatles played instruments. Boy bands started with New Kids, when someone else played the music and the members sang and danced.
Memories yes. I was the father of two teenage daughters in the 90s.
Donnie Walberg is in this group. Mark was in this video too though. He was holding the green basketball when he went up to Donnie sitting on the motorcycle. The youngest member will be 52 this year the oldest will be 56.
Oh wow, hard to believe the oldest one is getting close to 60! Time flies! I am guessing Joe is the 52 year old.
Bell Biv Devoe - poison another high energy banger
My very first concert was in the 6th (1989) grade to see New kids on the block! OMG I loved it
damn your having too much FUN with this one lol
Yes new kids on the block!!!..
