- We never thought we'd find ourselves loving a song like New Kids On The Block's "You Got The Right Stuff", but it happened. The blend of old school and new school, the choreography and energy had us hooked. We couldn't help but move to the rhythm, singing "You got the right stuff, baby" in the streets. It was a surprise, but we were loving it. New Kids On The Block may have been a throwback, but they still brought the heat and we were ready for more

Joey McIntyre was the original lead singer on the first album. The first 2 songs they released flopped and so did their record and their record label almost dropped them. Their manager talked the record company into keeping them and starting with the 2nd album Jordan became the lead singer and they became a huge success. There's something about the male falsetto voice.
These guys were my first concert ever at 14. I'm 49 now thanks for making me feel older lol loved it. I had a crush on Jordan knight haha

Joey McIntyre had a solo career. That man grew up damn fine and he could belt out a tune with the best of them.

Subbed just for the New Kids on the Block reaction. They got oversaturated back in the day which ultimately led to their initial "demise" but since they regrouped in 2008, it's been non-stop. The best live performers.

I'm not into most boy bands, but the New Kids and Backstreet Boys are worthy exceptions. Thanks for sharing your reactions to this video; I really enjoyed it.
Some of their "Newer" songs Remix (I like it), 80 girl. Seen them twice in concert 10 year age & 6years still screamed like a teenage girl not the 40 something I was.

Jordan who sings leads on this song, also choreographed this routine. And he often states he "stole" that one dance move from Morris Day.

I was in love with Donnie Walberg when I was a teenager 😂❤. Went to their concerts and screamed my head off like they were the Beatles. 🤣
In 1999/2000 Jordan Knight had a solo song 'Give It To You'. Not subtle at all lolol. The music and the choreography in the video was awesome. I think the choreographer was one of the dancers. His name escapes me at the moment.
I was 10 when this came out & they were my 1st boy band crush. I had the jean jacket w/ the band name bedazzled & you would buy the patches & put them on yourself. My bedroom was wall to wall NKOTB...but omg, Joey McIntyre🥰🤩🥰🤩🥰...I loved him more than anything EVER lol. I also loved that they were from Boston (like myself). They were the 2nd (Debbie Gibson was the 1st😂) concert I'd ever been to & if you think you know girls that were nuts about them, going to the concert was on another level! Little girls are CRAZY!!! Then about 5 years ago my brother got me tickets to see them for my 40th birthday. I swear, as soon as those lights went out and the music started, I was that same little girl I was when I saw them for the 1st time...I may have even cried more lol
I def don't remember any boys that liked them but I love that now we can look back & as cheesy as it was you appreciate the dancing & singing. It's undeniable talent you can't fake...ty for playing it😘

Caught this video with the #nkotb algorithm. Another drop of knowledge for you, they performed on Showtime at the Apollo and although with lukewarm reaction from the crowd at first. They won them over at the end. You KNOW that’s a hard audience to win but they did it. They’re still touring, have a sold out cruise of 3k people every year and the new music rocks.
