Back in the late 1960s or early 1970s, my parents drove my brother and me to Chicago to see the Beatles in concert. We went again a year or two later for another Beatles concert. Unfortunately, i can't begin to tell you how the concerts actually were because the screaming from the fans was deafening! The first year, we sat below a huge speaker, and we still couldn't hear anything. Did this ruin it for us? Yeah, but at least we can say we saw the Beatles twice in concert. 😊 😅

Rag Doll, My Eyes Adored You, Sherry , Walk like a Man , You're too to be true , and so many more! They all have high falsetto vocals especially Franki although he's singing in a lower note on this song

And those tasty snare hits backing up the intro provide a down shift into the turn that jets the remainder of the song well into cruising speed. But the harmonies in the chorus supply the pay off. Ringo is riding a stationary bicycle, so yes, gym equipment circa 1965. The Beatles more or less invented the music video. They often added cheeky bits involving Ringo in their videos to poke fun at the fact that they were faking the music. Sweet! The golden oldies AM radio station I used to listen to at work way back in the eighties used to play this song all the time. That performance was nice, but the flute in the instrumentals leaves me thinking that either they were lip syncing or that the studio version of the song was dubbed onto the video. The Ed Sullivan Show channel hosts a clip of The Four Tops performing the song on the show in 1966 and the audible hand claps among other aspects of the presentation make clear that they were actually singing the song on the show. Also check out that clip when you can. Highly recommend checking out the band Runrig, one of Scotlands great rock bands. Some of my fav songs of theirs are Skye, News From Heaven, Every River, and Edge Of The World. There's live performances of all these songs on UA-cam. I wish more folks in the US knew about them.
