TANNER I so wish you covered Italy. I British but live in Italy. You are all that keeps me from giving up hope most days. I will follow you until I finally get rid of pain. I have had chronic pain for 37 years. ❤

I had chronic pain for 45 years, and recovered 80%. I've heard of people who completely recovered after 37 years - the success stories too help to inspire you on setback days. Best of luck and may we all heal completely! Great video, Tanner, and thank you.

Tanner, I have to thank you again so much for your videos. I have also listened to your podcasts and it’s so reassuring to know that I’m not alone in the dark moments I’ve had with chronic pain, mine being pelvic pain. I’m in the uk and of all the mind body professionals I’ve discovered you along with my therapist who is helping with my trauma, have both helped me heal the most. 😊

This was an interesting one. I found myself much more relaxed at the end. I see parallels between these practices and meditation--------at least for myself. They both require blocking the thoughts my racing mind continues to offer up. While I have a terrible time trying to meditate, I can do these somatic practices, and get some of the same benefits----- as well as having them help deal with pain. Thank you , as always!

Thanks for this video Tanner. The hardest part for me is not to spiral when I'm in excruciating pain. The idea of visualizing going about my day in a way that creates safety is a very powerful tool. Thanks again.

I'm grateful to have come accross you Tanner. I'm currently going through a difficult painfull period while healing my lung cancer. In a previous video, you explained how unexpected pain coming back doesn't mean I'm getting worse, it's just part of the healing. Thank you for helping me feel empowered. 🙏💚🙏

Thank you so much Tanner. After my comment 4 weeks ago, I got better for 2 weeks until it came back again... My routine is to listen to your Flare video (this one) and Somatic Tracking meditation and10 minutes brain retraining meditation.. This time, pain is the worst ever before even with the medication and I got scared. I read Dr. Schubner's book but I have not really done the excercises in it, as I thought it was rather towards Trauma experiences in the past and I do not recall any traumatic experiences...My emotional issue is Anxiety... off course it came from the family environments but compared to stories I read from Dr. Schubner's book, my childfood experiences are not so severe. If the flare came back so strong, doing written excercizes in the Dr. Schubner's book may uncover some core issues that I am suffering from unconciously?

It potentially could be. Expressive writing or somatic work with emotions can generally be helpful even without trauma. Keep going!

This is a hard piece of the healing. Yes long-term we are doing the work to heal our symptoms. However short term focus needs to be on creating safety in different ways!

I've been taking pain pills in the past three months...the dosage was increased steadily...i have started to do your exercises around the same time... In the last three days I was feeling almost pain free...but last week the pain came back...last three weeks i was getting so much better that i skipped my exercises from your videos.... because I was so well that i forgot about my pain... this week it came back...i am horrified...why is it coming back? What to do?

This is so normal while healing neuroplastic pain/symptoms. Flares can be seen as part of the process and essentially we want to keep doing the brain retraining and emotional work. Sorry to hear about your flare.

Sounds like you are having an allergy or a stuffy nose when you talk.
