I don't use Banzai Bills ever actually. I usually prefer my obstacles to be either confined to a small area or flying at the player at high speeds. The red Bullet Bill Blasters are especially good for the latter.
I love this series to death and I like the idea of showing certain information as text on the screen to save time. However, I have two ideas for how to improve it: 1. Make the text left-aligned so it's easier to read all at once. You don't want the viewer's eyeballs bouncing back and forth after every line. 2. If you have the time or capabilities, PLEASE include icons next to the words! A little picture of a star next to the word "Super Star" makes the information much quicker to digest. That's why official Mario games do it! :D

Don’t overthink the uses with Mr. Banzai, sometimes an enemy is just an enemy, that why we love him. Honestly I think fuzzies would be more of a GIZMO/stage hazard than Banzai would be.
I used two of them on one another to make sure the player does not make it through with the super ball flower and another set like this in the sub world. I added a mushroom so they would have to be fast to get it. Homing bills would never work because the player could use that to their advantage and cheese the level. BTW I love how bansai bills can be faced forward in the super Mario 3d world style. It is really fun to play with that. I really love your videos Tobias and look forward to what's in stored for what you have next after item breakdown.

Clown Car level in 3D world with on/off spikes would be a cool concept. In full explanation, you would be traveling through disabled 3DW spikes as the banzai bills cause wreckage and enable/disable the spikes.

NSMBW had a super underrated use for Bullseye Bill, he vertically tracks you and then flies horizontally, imo the big Bullseye Bill should track you like the small red one, but the cat one should be the one to track you vertically, same thing with small Bullet Bills

For those wondering that the NSMBU Bonzai Bill does not rotate while in the original NSMBU Game it does, here's why: In Mario Maker, the NSMBU theme works like the other three themes with 2D-Sprites in spite of 3D-Models. These sprites are rendered from 3D-Models, so it does look like it is 3D, but because of the limitation to sprites most Enemies in the NSMBU-Style are less animated than in the original games.
I do like these videos but I have noticed a lot less visuals (which is what made these so useful) and a lot more text. Sadly, that kinda makes these latest ones not much better than reading a wiki or the tutorial in game. I liked these because of the quick visual run downs.
I agree with you on that one. To be honest, on this one, I actually finished it up out of town and didn't have to resources to create the visual examples I usually do. I'm pushing to make sure I can consistently provide these visuals in a clean, organized way.

I can sort of understand why keys aren’t compatible with Banzai Bills, with them phasing through most terrain in the retro styles and them leaving the screen forever unlike Boos or the Angry Sun. No idea why their a gizmo or incompatible with tracks though. Also SMB1 Banzai Bills are absolutely terrifying.
It's a real bummer that they can't respawn outside of using the background orientation of 3D World. I'm trying to make a level that requires going right, then having to backtrack so Banzai Bills can open up something to the left. I guess I have to settle for offering up a Super Bell instead to flip them from launchers.

My best guess for why Banzai Bills can’t carry keys is because they could potentially fly away with them? Doesn’t really make sense since I’m pretty sure they respawn if you don’t kill them though
I really don't like how they don't allow to add para-wings or oather powerups to all enemy. Para Bonzai Bill could change directions on the X axis (like that missile bills in SMB3), the rest is obwiously, but like, really. A KEY?

If Nintendo put the absolutely gigantic King Bills in SMM 2, they'd allow creative level design, but also force the player to go through hell
King Bills don't even need to be a separate object, they could just be a fancy reskinned giant version of the Banzai Bill.

My favorite thing I've done with the Banzai Bill is make a Banzai Nanny, a Banzai Bill followed by 3 Bullet Bills.

I believe a key cannot be placed in a banzai bill because it can fly off-screen and has no collision(in all the normal game styles).
