Wow, you're skipping a lot of .38 ammo loot. That ammo is so plentiful that it can be sold to vendors. You're missing out on making lots of caps. Really the only things you should not be picking up are perhaps sledge hammers (too heavy), burnt books (no value and dead weight), and heavy Raider armor or Metal Armor. Everything else can be looted and scrapped or sold. I get that you are trying to avoid becoming over-encumbered. Its a real risk in this game. Food items can be cooked for XP, then sold or eaten. So 99% of lootable items are useful for either scrapping or revenue or health. In my current play through which is at the half-way point in the game, I have over 50,000 caps. In one of my previous play throughs I acquired over 1,000,000 caps. Now I just have to find a real world Money Exchange who will happily take my virtual caps for cash. Wish me luck.
There's no real use for having so many caps once every weapon has been purchased. Right now I'm getting close to 800,000 and Cait has about 3500 of her own.
Just found your channel and was binge-watching this Let's Play. ^^ Enjoying it a lot.
Anyway, I just wanted to say, when you put the egg in the nest @ 3:09:00 you can actually stay right there by the nest. The Deathclaw mommy will be thankful and won't attack you at all. So you can basically stay there, look at her and take some screenhots with your character and her if you like to. At least I always did that. 😃
