@@shinybeast8946 Kerosine, Jake Leg, Twinkler, those are from Purple Blue and Yellow respectively, each album has its own kind of theme so you might not like all of them but I recommend those three if you like this song.
I'm mad this was nominated not because it's not good, but because this isn't very metal and that takes away from artist who actually fit in the category
Brotein Thought it was rhetorical, but I call a lot of things metal (not going into detail). This isn't prog metal to me at all that would be more on the periphery, dream theater, and gojira side of the spectrum. Sounds like prog rock to me but not metal at all
I never claimed that what are you talking about lol. I'm just saying this isn't a metal song not the band as a whole. And learn a thing or two bout music? What's there to learn? That there's a bunch of elitist twats with their panties in a bunch like you? No thanks I'll stick to listening while you google technical terms about music to sound smart in front of UA-cam comment sections
Really really good. These guys, in my opinion, should be one of the most famous rock bands nowadays up there with ghost. Their music is just so fresh compared to most of the other stuff out there.
+Juan Tovar i totally agree, their music sounds some honest unlike ghost that hides their music behind that whole Mysticism. I think Ghost is more popular because people like the spectacle rather than the music and baroness is all about the music just raw and honest.
+holad1 I really enjoy the music Ghost puts out though. While yes I love the whole Mysticism about it as well I still really enjoy the music. It is fresh as dude said as well. Not too much out there like these 2 bands
Just barely discovered this song yesterday. Been binge listening to Baroness all day & night since, & this is still my favorite song in their arsenal. Amazing , epic, catchy vocals, & the guitars are telling stories & crying upon every pluck of the strings. Thanks Baroness.
Randomly reading comments and I needed to commend you for your wording. "The guitars are telling stories & crying upon every pluck of the strings." I hope you spend time writing poetry :)
Not that I don't adore the song and equally adore the vocals, but an instrumental version of this track would make my lifetime; I want to hear those guitars in the verse and the rich tones in the chorus!
You guys are a huge inspiration for us. Yellow and Green (and from the sounds of it, Purple as well!) really forced us to get serious about our musicianship. You guys rock.
Dear Baroness, i'm going through alot of changes on my life right now. Some of them are good, others are awfully bad. I lost faith on so many different aspects of my life and i miss so many people that played a big role on who i am today. You have been with me for a long time now, you helped me for years and you don't even know. Thank you for being with me and helping me to get through so much pain and uncertainties. I hope to see you here on Brazil someday, we might party alot if i'm still around.
The lyrics cause you to look inward at yourself. The music stirs the bones to get up and make something of yourself. Your music is like a revolution against the self and l love it.
Once I liked Baroness, later I loved Baroness, today I want to hug every person in the world and travel to see Baroness in live with tones of Beer in my hair. Good job team
Charlie Allin it's just good, accessible music. it is well-organized, layered, and big-sounding. it is not extremely heavy, but there's nothing too watered down about it. the production is very dynamic. just because you don't like poppier sentiments doesn't mean it's shit.
Perhaps one of my favourite bands out there, there are two reasons why I enjoy Baroness, how the music sounds, it cascades in such a way that is so indescribable, almost there are no words for this band. The second is the artwork, the art is something that is so profoundly beautiful.
Those guitars at the end...it's just such an excellent musical choice. And the drums sound great. Looking forward to repeating this album and getting older ones.
+TheNerdyResponder same here brahh, im down with rap , ghettotech, house music, but damm when i heard this song i was lke this song is bad ass. Great Tune
Is there anyone else out there who is reminded of Jerry Cantrell by Pete's soloing? They don't sound exactly alike or anything, but they both have such melodic solos. Neither tries to jizz all over the song, and instead, they both tend to play memorable lines that are just enough to fit the song. Just my observation...
Another great song, this is going to be a really good record, can't wait for it to come out. Going to see Baroness on December 15 in Chapel Hill, can't wait to here the new songs live!!!
This is incredible.. all the stuff off purple I've heard is amazing. Been listening to you guys since 2007, good shit. Thank you guys for this gift of art to the world
With each release I'm more stoked for this record. There's so much awesome musical subtleties in these tracks and some of the best production I've heard in a while. This is definitely going to be a record that rewards repeated listens. Can't wait to hear it live.
one of their top 3 best songs
I'm just getting into these guys, what other songs do you recommend?

This song rocks my world
If this is the future of metal, I'm glad to be alive.
Holy shit it's Bob Saget!
@@ilves6664 You'd be very wrong, how is this not metal? What else would it classify as? And I think the agreed upon subgenre is sludge metal.
@@ilves6664 you're way too wrong
Taking metal back to the psychedelic roots it came from
metal? mmmmmm not sure about that. but is most definitely something to be thankful for
Baroness. South of Poland. Please. We need to party.
+bazhc ok, see you there in 2016.
+Baroness YASSSSS!
+Baroness And please, dont forget to visit Slovakia as well!!
+Baroness We are here Side by Side! Therefore very please, don't forget to visit Hungary as well! :D
+Baroness If you go to poland, you must come to finland too!
the spirit of Thin Lizzy lives in you
This song feels like a combination of the Red Album and the Blue Record
OH WAIT
Haha, nice man!! PURPLE
I thought the same thing
+John Azopardi me too !
+John Azopardi now way. more fully in the direction of the last one. red and blue was completely another planet
+Simon sabbath it was a joke, red and blue makes purple, this album is purple
Blown away.
For me Baroness can be hit or miss, but this song is pure genius. That chorus is incredible!
That break before the solo was superb.
Oh boy am I getting stoned to this.
This song is pure bliss. Holy shit what a masterpiece.
Nominee for Grammy Best Metal Performance 2017 !Baroness Rocks!
I'm mad this was nominated not because it's not good, but because this isn't very metal and that takes away from artist who actually fit in the category
Brotein More like progressive rock
Brotein Thought it was rhetorical, but I call a lot of things metal (not going into detail). This isn't prog metal to me at all that would be more on the periphery, dream theater, and gojira side of the spectrum. Sounds like prog rock to me but not metal at all

This is one of those rare songs that makes you wonder if you're crying inside or joyful. Baroness makes THE most powerful music.
Really really good. These guys, in my opinion, should be one of the most famous rock bands nowadays up there with ghost. Their music is just so fresh compared to most of the other stuff out there.

+holad1 Its definately the music, they wouldnt be that popular if it were only a gimmick. BTW this track is amazing!
True that, but it really is not an easy feat to do, and not everyone can succeed.
just something about this band.... they will always have the ability to affect me deeply.
This album is going to rule so hard
+jprenderg so FUCKING hard.
Not going to, it already does. This album is fucking amazing. Every song. Love it!

This is just beatiful, epic, heartfelt. The type of songs that you can listen thinking that your life is a movie.
Their best album. Then blue then red.
Not that I don't adore the song and equally adore the vocals, but an instrumental version of this track would make my lifetime; I want to hear those guitars in the verse and the rich tones in the chorus!
NXT! NXT!
Something fresh yet wreaks of 80's metal. Absolutely love it...
You guys are a huge inspiration for us. Yellow and Green (and from the sounds of it, Purple as well!) really forced us to get serious about our musicianship. You guys rock.
I went to high school with the girl from the music video, her name was Zara. Super chill, had a massive crush on her.
The gig in Colognes STOLLWERK for the purple album was groundbreaking 😢❤❤❤❤
One of the best rock songs ever
Baroness became my new favorite band over night. great job guys.
I still love this song as much as I do when I heard it the first time!!!!
Seeing this live in Columbus '23 was amazing.
The album is sounding real good fellas. Now, swing on up to Maine and do a show with us Hessian metalers!!!
this song makes honour to i'ts names beacuse they shocked me baroness are the best
I love how the guitar melody plays with the vocal melody.
This FUCKING rules, what a track boys.
A deep well of despair I found the day my dreams came true

What a great song!

Yeah, first time I heard it, it was in my head for days.
I love this so much I can't even describe it
Your pic does a pretty good job conveying it. Btw do you wear a toupee?
haha I dont wear one. I just have a weird haircut
You've written a classic. Be proud of that.

Best album of 2015, and 2016...and probably 2017, too.
love that sticky sweet feel from purple
The best rock song this year.
I hope not ...

*Metal song, and not it's not. It's good, but no.
If they ever remade the 1989 film Shocker, this song would be the perfect song for the movie. Love this song :)
Yeah, it's a masterpiece.
This album so far has the dark atmosphere of Yellow and Green coupled with the catchy, riff filled aggression of Blue. It's perfect.
One of the most incredible songs I've heard this year.
That opening verse.. lungs get tight.. breath gets short.. eyes water.. every fucking time.
Impressive group. Refreshing to hear good music for a change.

Beautiful stuff here boys. The lyric is blowing me away.
I love the synths at the start of the track! Adds a great additional layer of texture to the song.
i try spreading this to anyone who will listen...people need to hear.

John’s “Shock me” refrain while I’m working out keeps me going
I need to catch another Baroness show so badly.
Thums for this great Song! This is one of my favorite Songs ever!
I'm so excited for this album! Really awesome that this band can come back and rock after that horrible accident a few years back
This is my really first time hearing Baroness, and this song is amazing. It's always stuck in my head.
Your Band's music is just as great as it's artwork. Both are so inspirational for me as an artist (Visual).
Is there anyone else out there who is reminded of Jerry Cantrell by Pete's soloing? They don't sound exactly alike or anything, but they both have such melodic solos. Thats a great song these guys never disappoint
haven't listened to this band since the Red Album... dang they have come a long way
What a good song!! Please, come to Brazil as soon as you can!!
Banger.

Woh guys. Just Woh. What a song.
Listening to The Sword on phone and this showed up on recommended list on app I was using. Good stuff.
ChachaChapati I remember discovering Baroness right as yellow and green came out. I bought it on a whim. Bought blue and red within three days.
I've been listening to metal since I was 12, and only discovered these guys in 2016. Better late than never, eh?
