Lyrics:
We are spirit bound to this flesh
We go round one foot nailed down
But bound to reach out and beyond this flesh
Become Pneuma
We are will and wonder
Bound to recall, remember
We are born of one breath, one word
We are all one spark, sun becoming
Child, wake up
Child, release the light
Wake up now
Child, wake up
Child, release the light
Wake up now, child
(Spirit)
(Spirit)
(Spirit)
(Spirit)
Bound to this flesh
This guise, this mask
This dream
Wake up remember
We are born of one breath, one word
We are all one spark, sun becoming
Pneuma
Reach out and beyond
Wake up remember
We are born of one breath, one word
We are all one spark, eyes full of wonder
I'm 60 yrs old, and tonight is the first time i've listened to this amazing band, I raised My two Sons on a strict diet of Rush, Heavy Rock, and all Music in between. They have went on to become talented musicians . My eldest Son, through the music of Rush, has become a great fan of DREAM THEATER and TOOL. Me being a devout Rush fan, never considered these other Bands, I should have known better. Thank You Adam for introducing Your Old Man ( Me ) to this tremendous Band. Listen through Your Headphones People, Hear everything xxxx
Good shit
Almost 61 here. This is the first Tool song I've ever listened to (thanks to reactors Jamel_AKA_Jamal and Lost In Vegas), for the first time yesterday, and it's absolutely brilliant. On repeat and not a song but a journey. It nudged out my Robert Fripp/Daryl Hall, Joe Pesci, and Albert Ayler jags of last week ;-)

Just the drum track alone is a masterpiece. Perfectionist beast of a drummer Danny Carey is pushing 60 at 58, Justin Chancellor 47, Maynard 55, Adam Jones 54. Much respect to these legendary musicians. Timeless music. Astounding release, thank you!
I think that the drum it's the must important aspect of this album . And the progression it's a post rock/metal album for me.

It took me a minute to absorb the album. By a minute, I mean a couple of years. Its nice to hear.
With absent parents and listening to Tool since I was 12, it was definitely a guiding light when I was looking up to people like Marilyn Manson or Trent Reznor. Tool was the band that "had their shit together". Definitely influenced me all the way up until my mid 20s. By the time I was old enough to really understand the lyrics, 10,000 Days was already out and everyone was speculating about this album. So, for me, its like getting a letter from a father or an older brother you haven't seen in years, whenever you're a full grown adult.... As weird as that may seem.
Yay, soul sister. I too enjoy Marilyn Manson as he is a multi-talented artist, and fearless AF! It is cool to be naturally weird.Tool helps me to think mathematically, systematically.

I had this on repeat Spotify and fell asleep to it. It’s just shockingly great.
Third listen: "This is my new allegorical elegy"
Right on!
I just got into TOOL and this song is an absolute masterpiece
Welcome to the family
@Query_Rejected well I don't care because I've been into this kinda music for years lol just older stuff like pink floyd, led zeppelin, Alice in Chains
@Query_Rejected nirvana is good but Alice in chains in my opinion is better also idk I feel like kurt killed himself but definitely interesting
@@tjprptchable AiC and Tool are my #1 and #2 favs ever, and welcome!
❤❤❤❤
this song is literally the reason i’m here today. a few weeks ago i was feeling very low and i was considering taking my life. i put this song on repeat like 5 times and it helped me release the whole feeling. thank you, Tool for making exceptional music like this.
Their music is a 'tool' to process your inner agony. Hence the name.
Glad you're okay.
fun fact, people are just as lost on the astral plane (where you will end up)
About an hour of tool will do that for you. 5 times of listening to this song is about an hour
Shit omg i hope ur doing great now i hate to hear when people are in that state of depresion ive been there myself.I sucks and i hope and pray u are doing awsome.
Hang in there... They are going to make new music and you need to be around to experience it. I hope that we all can.
I wish my dad was alive to hear fear inoculum. He was a huge Led Zeppelin fan. I played him the cover of No Quarter by Tool. He was instantly hooked. He was also a drummer
That is an amazing cover! Sorry to hear about your loss. My son was coincidentally born to that cover playing in the room.
@@tcb9775 are sayin zepplin is gay? you are lost. type justin bieber, youll be ok
Probably my favorite cover ever. They opened up with it two of the times I've seen them live. It really set the tone for an amazing show both times.
@@larrycoffey8076 lol I was referring to electronic music. I would never say that about Zeppelin
@@tcb9775 oops sorry bro

We are spirit bound to this flesh
We go round one foot nailed down
But bound to reach out and beyond this flesh
Become Pneuma
We are will and wonder
Bound to recall, remember
We are born of one breath, one word
We are all one spark, sun becoming
Child, wake up
Child, release the light
Wake up now
Child, wake up
Child, release the light
Wake up now, child
(Spirit)

Bound to this flesh
This guise, this mask
This dream
Wake up remember
We are born of one breath, one word
We are all one spark, sun becoming
Pneuma
Reach out and beyond
Wake up remember
We are born of one breath, one word
We are all one spark, eyes full of wonder

@@dreamcatcher_999_ You're most welcome.
Thank you very much for the Lyrics :)
I lost my grandmother today. I was listening to this song a while ago, but today i really understood what it really means.
@@tanjaki May her soul rest in peace.
at 7:45 that soft overlay of the guitar always gives me goosebumps. its an indescribable feeling listening to this song, its truly a work of art.
They’re insane, I just noticed that today and it gave me a whole new perspective on the song, the moments I was thinking about etc. they’re insane.
When the drums and bass kick back in after the solo guitar break going thru the songs main riff, is one of the heaviest and best you’ll ever hear
RIP to all the Tool fans that have passed and missed this historical day and new music. Much LOVE.
@ hell yeah man!! I just had a good friend od a month ago, he never got to hear anything. So here's to him and all the other fans. Gone but not forgotten!!
@@lindsay33333 damn that hits home for me. One of my homies who helped get me into Tool like ten years ago passed away in 2015, also from an OD. He was a great guy and a great musician and Tool was one of if not his favorite band. We shared many good times listening to Tool together and talking about life and music, so I always think of him when I listen to Tool.. I was thinking the same thing as you said in your comment. RIP to my him and to your homie as well. Definitely wish they could be here to enjoy this new music with us.
Probably the most beautiful UA-cam comment I’ve ever seen.
yeah we heard that one million times
@@KCgrunge go take ur comments elsewhere. ✌
When you're about to go to sleep and you get the notification of a new Tool's song and instantly you lost sleep. I've just called my boss to tell her tomorrow I won't be going to work. Let's celebrate we all have made it people, too many didn't do it.! Congrats.
Shit's been leaked for nearly a week bro lol
🍻
I legit just got home and trolling the YT this popped up omg so stoked right now! It's like I am properly finishing high school now!
Light up some good dank and chill to this 👌
Losing an hour of two of sleep will make you call in???
I have the regret to have discovered this band only recently. What an absolut masterpiece!!!!
better now than never. enjoy.
good news they're touring 🎉
enjoy the ride!!
This song tickled my brain
I was in rehab last year for an opiate addiction... lets just say I could have easily died... I left treatment on august 17th 2019 and 2 wks later on my birthday, august 30th, Tool released Fear Innoculum. The moment I heard Pneuma I cried and told myself how lucky I was that I was alive to hear it... Best gift I ever recieved.... Thankyou, Tool!!!
That's a sign, that you are now on the right path and in tune with the universe. Stay strong! I'm happy for you man.
Were ya shooting dope?
@@djjoshplacid83 I wasn't banging it, snorting it.

1. you listen to it
2. after 1min you are like wow.
3. after 6 min you already know you will listen to it immediately again as soon as it's over.
4. you want to share it and tell the world about what you've just discovered.
5. the drums are amazing, btw.

So right my friend, so right , so relevant.
I'm having shivers right now
Unremarkable
When has Danny Carey ever upset?? The answer is never my friend ❤️❤️❤️
This is the best song ever created.
This song is pure fire 🔥 I could listen it forever
This is quite possibly the most mind blowing thing I've heard in the last 13 years.
Preach
Listen to 7empest
Amen
Amen Ramon!
@@maffy715 equally as mind blowing but it doesn't transport me the way Pneuma does, that's just me.
That bassline from Justin makes the world stand still for a moment.
God damn it's so true!
Hearing tool for first time yesterday
Can’t stop listening Amazing
Welcome!
You won't stop listening either😆
Tool is a messenger. Listen well my brothers and sisters. Listen well as it reveals itself as you walk the path of life. May we one day move to somewhere greater as a species and drain the poison in our own hearts and that of the world.
Go hug a tree. You barefooted hippy bastard you. Lol
I tried to solve sudoku while listening to this. Now sudoku is trying to solve me.
Im also currently addicted to sudoku. and tool. Might be morphic resonance at play
It’s just a numbers game. 😏
Well worth the wait. Transcend my earbrain.
Please let's not turn this comment section into the Pantera walk one!
Need smoke!
14 year old daughter passes by me playing this song on her iphone and i smile...there is hope
was must of been post picnic melon..
U r blessed to have her
My 14 yr old is more into Slipknot, but she's starting to get Tool. Best show I've ever seen.
Lol,My 32yr old Son also has made me a proud parent! I sent him the video of Danny playing pneuma and he said "Awesome, good find Mom!" Tool has and will always be my favorite band.
@@donnahamilton7850 The only the thing worse than you pretending to be a Tool fan is claiming to have ever done anything awesome. Fuck off you stupid bitch, if that makes you proud he must be one hell of a disappointment.
This is perfect as the music blends into the phenomenal lyrics and back into the music. Haven't been mesmerized by a tune like this one for ages.
Same, it's almost unbelievable when you dig in and listen. A true masterpiece among masterpieces.
This song is a masterpiece. Just plain artwork.
This is it. This song right here is an entire mood trip. Phenomenal.
Loved the entire album, but this right here is best song of the album.
🎯
I agree
Agreed.
MiKuZpook I know what you mean. I find I play this track and Descending the most
Who else is addicted to this masterpiece of a song?
Me..have been since aug 30
Cant get enough of this masterpiece, i am trying to learn it on my guitar to cover it on my channel.
Meeeee! absolute beauty of a creation!!
This one of Tool's most encapsulating creations. This is the definition of progressive, with a climatic ending we all know is worthwhile, and undoubtedly memorable. This is History. This song is fuckin' tough, Danny went wild, the dropout at the end gets me the most, And Adam put his special touch on the end solo, completely phenomenal, from
Maynards mantra lyrics to danny's drumming, to Justin's rhythmic bass rifts and Adam making the guitar his bitch, this song is the epitome of music 🤘❤️
Who isn't? That's a more serious question...
I'm 5 hours into a Tool binge. How are these guys SO GOOD???
Tool saved my life. Sad, but true.
Never stop listening to them
Not sad, thank you for remaining.
Danny might be the best ever to hit the drums. Legend
Gavin Harrison , Porcupine Tree, Anesthetize live Tillburg ?
Come on Tool, its been 24 hours since the last album. When will the new album drop?
🤯 Already 😂
I think their album cycles are within the Fibonacci Sequence.... so 26 years next?? 😂
@@turdferguson7112 lmao if we're lucky
2032. Will we get to Mars before then?
@@davesmith4748 lol. Danny will be 71 by then. Probably could still destroy any tool song.
