I'm not sure where u live but where I'm from people don't wont to work so this would be awesome for where I live at
Not a fan of the checkout process! Convenience is killing people’s jobs! I rather spend a little time in line and deal with a paid human!
Look at it this way, rather you believe it or not it’s the mark of the beast that is coming. No one will be able to buy anything without it.
Even tho it is convenient, not a fan. It is costing people jobs. Not a good thing in today's economy👎👎👎
We have a butcher here. They have their own cattle. Hamburger is same as at stores. In fact it is cheaper than Wamart. Great steaks. They have tomahawk steaks. They also have different package deals. Pork, beef or a mix. Also have sides of beef and half sides of beef. I have got to where that is where I go
Walmart is slowly remodeling their stores. The end result is now you the customer get the pleasure of scanning your own items and bagging them. Hell next I'll be unloading the trucks and stocking the shelves for them too!
Yes. I’m able to self check out but my 83 yo mother has difficulties. So she stands in line at the one checker lane open. Takes forever.
@@michellewanner3921 Yes, my elderly mother did the same thing. She NEVER self checked out. Didn't want to know anything about it either even if she had a few items to purchase.
steph buying from a rancher and then pay for the processor is way more cheaper than paying $10 a pound for meat because you pay for the rancher to feed the cow then you pay for the processor by the hanging wieght so it comes out to be around $3-$4 per pound for all the cuts even the fancy cuts and you have meat for a year or more
It’s $20 a pound though. Double! I’m still pricing our other ones hopefully I find one a little cheaper 🤞🏼
All beef is “grass fed” The extra words on your food are 100% marketing and don’t have any meaning in the real world.
There is a difference in grass fed and grain fed. That isn’t marketing
The grass fed beef I wrapped at a local meat locker near me was awful looking. Pulling away from the bones, no marbling. Unless it is lot fed cattle or veal, all cattle are grass fed with some being finished on corn.
@@rakcityequine2.0 Your wrong there.. I was born and raised on a beef farm (Black Angus) and all we raised was grass fed and grass finished and the meat was outstanding. All our animals we raised ate what we grew in the fields and garden.. We were *organic* before there was ever a meaning for *organic* 🤠

Hi Steph, I don’t understand how it knows what is in your bag. Maybe I’m missing something. It looks like a fun way to shop though. We have a food delivery service through my local grocery store called Peapod. I go online and I add what I want to my cart, and then check out. I pick a day and time I want it delivered and that’s a go. I love it because I no longer have to go in to the grocery store. They deliver it to my front porch and all I have to do is carry it in and put the stuff away. It seems that things are getting more convenient for us, which is a good thing I think.
I support my local butcher/meat locker. I'm definitely not into scan and go. Those prices are not low enough for not having to pay employees. Also those scanners don't pay income tax which pays back the national debt. 😍. It's cool, just not for me.
That’s cool for you but to me that is scary. People need jobs. Plus I don’t just don’t trust all this AI and technology that tracks every aspect of your life. That can quickly turn against us. Love watching your videos and will continue. 😊❤

Very cool way of shopping. FYI. All meat has to be antibiotic free for at least 30 days before processing the animal, so stop paying extra for “antibiotic free” meat.

I only buy meat with a bone unless I absolutely know and trust the place. Look up videos about "meat glue" I love the videos by you and and Steve but not a fan of this store's protocols--- super creepy, would not want to relinquish that much control over my data!
Omg I’ve wanted to see a Amazon fresh, but how crazy that it knows what you have, not sure I’m liking that, that means the packaging has something in it to be able to read it, and that affects your food, thanks for the tour!

I would go to the assisted checker. I would not trust the scanner gate. Maybe because I am old.

How do you know what they charged you and whether or not items scanned properly?
I got a receipt a couple HOURS later! It was correct though!! 😆
I try and buy local I don’t shop in the bigger store if I don’t need to, we get our meat from a rancher and the color is different than in the store so much better for you.

My brother lives by a farm and talks to the farmer. He has told my brother all of his cattle eat corn, if they eat grass it is because they are grazing. He grows his own corn Spring to summer and stores it (can’t recall the name) but it’s tall holds a lot of food!
I believe it depends on what the farmer wants them to eat.

The tall thing can also be called a grainery. I live in an agricultural area, Alberta Canada is how I know the terms.
I'm confused, how does the store know what you purchased??? I'm not a fan of self-checkout, I'm old school and prefer a human to check out with!!! So many people could be getting a paycheck to feed their family, but not with this kind of store!!! Are these stores only in California or are they across the US? 😊😻
There are scanners all over the store up in the ceiling. They know when you take something off the shelf and that adds it to your "cart" (if you put it back on the shelf, it will be removed from your cart). I think the shopping carts that the stores have can link to your account on a little computer screen where you can see the items being added and removed. I've never been in one of these stores, but I have seen other videos about it.

These are for enslavement tracking...lack of privacy and automatic fees for the bank and store. Getting people used to it as if it is something "good" and the lack of future sight leads people to gush.

When I self checkout, I know they are watching everything I scan! It’s like they are trying to set you up for accidentally not scanning something. It’s funny because when I don’t scan something by accident, they don’t ever catch it, and I usually don’t notice until I get home, or find that candy bar under my purse in the cart! Oops 😬

We don’t have an Amazon fresh where I live, but I can buy the groceries online and they deliver. Course you’re paying a bit more for the delivery fee and tip I really do like the selection of organic products they have.

I would totally love that so long as there were people around to help with machine screw up. I usually do self check outs because I don’t mess up my own scans, but I have lost count of the number of times bored or incompetent cashiers have screwed up scans. A lot of times they try to go too fast. The people behind get ticked, but I’m not going to pay for six of something if I only bought five. Zoom-zoom.

Hi Steph it amazing how times are changing. At my age its a little scary 😨 I am not up on all this new technology. I don't know how we make it with our our son to help us with all of it. I have been ordering strip loin and then cutting it into 10-15 steaks which I freeze and air fry. It saves a bunch of money.
