My Ninja Foodie died too! I was so sad because I use mine at least once a day. Luckily mine was still under warranty so I was able to get a new one (just the outer part, had to keep my grill and air fryer basket). The only thing I was slightly bummed about was I had to pay for shipping. I would highly recommend the Ninja brand for their customer service.
That's great service, it almost makes me wish I had bought mine from them directly instead of from Amazon!
I got my Ninja OL601 Foodi XL 8 Qt. Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer with SmartLid, 14-in-1 from Amazon on their Amazon days or whatever they're called, in October. Actually, I bought it a week before then, but the price dropped by about $30 down to $149. Amazon doesn't price match or refund the difference if they have a huge price change, so I had to return the first one. I hadn't even used it yet, but they sent the return shipping label and I got my "new" one a week later.
I have that basket you showed and use it to make hard-boiled eggs in it, in my Instant Pot. I have cooked about 18 at a time and it's so easy to remove it from the IP and put into ice water. I hadn't thought about using it in the Ninja Foodie!! I burned my arm on the inside air fryer pot and almost dropped it trying to get it out because the handles/hand holes are so close to the outside pot.
Great idea on the hard boiled eggs with that basket! I’ve never used it in a regular pot on the stove! LOL it’ll fit in my dutch oven if I need to make something needing a strainer! Yay! Thanks for the idea!
@@StevenSteph You can use it in the pressure cooker part of the Ninja. They peel so much more easily!
That is so awesome Steph! I have a ninja xl pro air fryer, that is good to know that the customer service is great and they stand by their products I love my Ninja.
I found out that an air fryer is basically a small convection oven so if your oven has a convection setting you can air fry in the oven and it will allow for larger quantities. You just need to purchase a crisper basket. Also, my oven has a dehydrate setting. I live in a small apartment and have limited counter space so this works for me.
I have had convection ovens for years and I tell people this all the time. I still have an air fryer from Cuisinart that I love for when I make smaller quantities of food

I was getting a new air fryer and the same thing happened....I had to send proof that I cut the cord! I thought that was odd! This thing was dead though and thankfully the new one came quick! And they didn't have my 5qt anymore so replaced it with a 6 qt!
We bought one from the link you shared a few months ago. We love it and use for everything everyday. Thank you for showing us this amazing unit. Now to buy the stainless insert. Enjoy your life....LOL

I love my Ninja Foodie Pro XL 6.5 Qt, I cook all my meat in it and I've even made hard boiled eggs in there. Love love love it! Thanks for the heads-up in case anything happens, though I would be so distraught if I have to cut the cord and be without it, even for 2 days LOL

I’ve never heard such a thing. Customer service has gone in the toilet. Basically they are saying we don’t trust our customers. I thought asking for a videochat was bad enough. Anyways rant over. At least they sent you an upgraded one.

Over here the one with the thermometer (which isn’t worth the extra) doesn’t sous vide, which I’d rather have that than the thermometer. Saying that, in the USA you get their knife block with space for the steak knives, we don’t, I have to store my steak knives elsewhere. I use ninja and shark all the time, love them but wish they would be the same across the board ❤
