To those new to carnivore- Carnivore diet cured so much for me! I update this list as time passes so it is always up to date, newest items at bottom of list. I have been zero carb carnivore for 11 months.
    * No more perimenopause- completely reversed!
*Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals. And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself!
    *No more night sweats
*No more waking every 2 hours at night!
*It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast!
    *No more life long eczema
    *No more cold hands
*No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun.
*No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea)
*No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm
*No more purple looking hands in winter
    *No more brain fog
*No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows
*used to have sore hips when sleeping on my side. No more!
*Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight.
*Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing!
*Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well.
*Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 46 and look like I am in early 30’s.
*Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me.
*No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach!
*Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup!
*no cravings unless they are for meat
*no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago.
*No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods
    * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller.
*feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 40 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that.
*Before carnivore- i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights.
    * no more body odor!
    * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much.
*I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that.
    * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things.
*Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But not even a month in on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing!
*no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing!
    * I have had no more issues from ear wax build up. Had it twice after having kids and docs would say it was a hormonal problem. Carnivore cured that too!
*Veins in my arms look healthier. They were almost invisible before.
*Legs no longer hurt on longer road trips or plane rides!
*I used to get a popping sounds in my right shoulder when lifting weights. Was probably a pulled ligament. That is now gone!
*I have been lactose intolerant since I was a kid, and I feel my nails are a bit stronger than before. They do break if I catch them on things but I feel they are getting stronger on carnivore.
*My teeth look more white on carnivore.
*My blood pressure has improved on carnivore. 6 years before carnivore up to starting carnivore my blood pressure was increasing. Now on carnivore it is back to normal like when I was younger. Last reading it was 100/75 which is awesome!
*i used to get eye twitches in my eye lids, but that is gone.
    * at times when trying to fall asleep I would close my eyes and at times felt dizzy like falling feeling or spinning. But haven’t has that since I have been on carnivore for 11 months.
*the skin on the heals of my feet are no longer cracked and dry! (Newest update added!)
If I think of anything else will add. ☺️👍🏻
I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic!
The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻

Dr. Barry says if you eat the proper human diet you don’t need to track. And a lot of them do see that as well. However I think it’s a good idea. I don’t do it anymore because I’ve been carnivore for over a year and a half. I eat intuitively. And I can’t take too much fat because I don’t have a gallbladder. Everybody’s different and needs to figure out what works for them but it’s a good place to start. I have used Carb Manager for a long time and I really like it I just don’t track anymore. And what Wendy does from loving it on keto is she has a menu planned for the whole day and she will put that into her Carb Manager and if she needs to tweak it she can tweak it because she already knows. They are doing protein sparing modified fast diet right now, because they were stalled for a long long time but now they’re losing weight. so she’s probably tracking more than most people. I just don’t feel the need. I have better things to do in my life than to worry about how much fat and protein I’m getting because everybody’s different. We have a different requirement and need but watch that video I know you will glean a lot of information from it. Like I’m not eating chicken anymore that’s not what I’m going to eat as far as nutritional capabilities. Chicken is basically for adding protein. People aren’t getting fat if they’re fat if they’re just eating chicken. Another thing to keep in mind is in nature that is usually with protein that’s what you want to have in your diet. It’s that way for a reason. The low fat diets that they had people on for years never did anything but make people fat and sick. Our bodies need fat and they need more than they have told us. They lied to us I suggest you get Dr. Berrys lies. My doctor told me. It is a fantastic book. I have it on e-book so I can listen to it because I’m gonna listen more than I sit down and read, but he gets into it. And the older we get which nobody ever tells us the more protein we need. But they want us all to be vegetarian, and that is very unhealthy.

I have the same app on my phone. It blows my mind how much fat it recommends, it’s hard to wrap my brain around. I had eggs this morning and cooked them in bacon fat & it just seemed so wrong (even though it was delicious) We’ve been conditioned & told fat is bad, lean meat is better, eat red meat in moderation the list goes on.

Most carnivore I know over time don't count anything. They learn to trust their body cues. One reason most like this carnivore like it, is cause you don't have to track anything. Also Dr Ken Berry said something about 1 carb egg is different cause it animal carb. He said it in today's livestream. My suggestion is don't track it. It's like the scale story. Most say don't weight self cause you will always be disappointed. If you don't use this app and just learn to trust your body, it becomes easier.

Makes sense what you're saying. We are using the counter temporarily, just for feedback until we have enough experience to identify what we are missing when we feel off. Thanks for watching.

This is so interesting! Another thing to consider is that everyone's body works a little different. Some people need more protein and some need a little less. It all depends on how your body absorbs different things.

And just so you know, when I was trucking, I could never get my numbers to be what they were supposed to be. It’s very hard to get enough protein. It’s easy to get enough fat but it’s hard to get enough protein.

  • @cyndimanka
    @cyndimanka 11 місяців тому +2

The reason that you want to eat certain proteins is because the fat to protein ratio for instance you know so bacon is going to be just about 50-50 and so is ribeye. The fat to protein ratio is really even whereas and chicken it is not.

Carb manager is not great. Your protein should be 1 gram per lean body mass. Your lean body mass is what you should weigh for your height and weight. You should have more protein than 99 grams. If you don't eat enough calories, you will affect your metabolism. Also fat is relative to how much you need. It should be gauged by how much weight you need to lose, and if you don't need to lose much at all, then keep your fat equal to your protein, or if it causes you diarrhea, then cut back on the fat. You do not need to count calories, just eat intuitively when you are hungry.

The Epic pork rinds are baked. Most other pork rinds are fried so i’m pretty sure they have more fat in them. Just a thought.
Also, I just saw on someone else’s video that there’s such a thing as pork pellets. Apparently you take the pellets and fry them in tallow/bacon grease/lard etc. and it makes pork rinds. I’m not a pork rinds fan, at least not at this point. But I thought the pork pellets were interesting.

Steph just so you are aware, upping the 'fat' will make greasier stools. You may do better with some dairy in your diet. Easier to get your fats up without greasy back end lol. I am not sure steve can have dairy or not. Not sure how strict the diet is but check and see what you can have. Pork rinds are good for snack but nit raising fats, dairy is way to raise fats.

    • @StevenSteph
      @StevenSteph  11 місяців тому

I’m suspicious I’m reactive to dairy (my acne and/or tonsil stones and I think the inflammation I had on AIP might be the dairy but I dont know exactly. I didn’t have any of those 3 when we first started AIP) but I’m not sure until I go a while without any and stabilize then bring it back. Steve is mildly allergic to whey and casein and something else so dairy might not come back we shall see 🤞🏼

Though I have taken off the fat layer from pork butt and roasts after draining and cooling but now on this diet I have left the fat layer intact with the juices and just stirred it back in when we reheat. I’ll keep an eye out for it I don’t remember ever seeing it on a shelf 😆

Thanks for the concern Debbie we appreciate it. We've done a tremendous amount of research based on science and medical studies and everything points to fat not only being healthy but essential to optimal health.

No we're not Sheila. We eat twice a day and each time we enjoy it. If things change we will share.

Actually everyone is now changing their tune about it! Cholesterol they’ve had it all wrong! Now they’re thinking dementia and MS and other illnesses might be on the rise because they’ve misunderstood the role cholesterol plays in our cells and brains and our diets! 😱 Do some googling it’s really fascinating! And seriously eye opening! They’ve scared us all these years into thinking meat and eggs and butter are bad and now they’re realizing “healthy” canola and seed oils and margarine etc are so so bad for us now and that’s what they’ve been telling us are healthy! 🙈🙈 I’m not a doctor but I did talk to my doctor about cholesterol last time I went and he said it’s correct. Doctors aren’t looking at cholesterol the same at all anymore. The science has changed
