You also have to check if your laptop will accept 2sided or 1sided nvme drive. Sometimes space under expansion slot for nvme/sata is occupied by larger capacitors/other large surface mounted elements - and the only disk you can fit there is a onesided one. It is a nasty problem, and if you are not carefull enough when screwing new disk down you can not realize the problem and damage your components (either squash caps on mobo or bend disk pcb).
I have no clue what any of the stuff he us saying means. I'm just trying to figure out how to increase the storage on my gaming laptop, sick of having to delete games just to download others and juggling back and forth. Was going to hire someone but the guy at the shop told me its cheaper and easier for me to do it myself. So here i am, trying to learn and i hate it but i figured it out. The stick thing plugs in with the slot, it was that easy. Im a computer expert now

Hi amazing video, but wanted to know a step by step process what to download before using a new SSD and what to do post that. a video tutorial is to how do we boot. I use Honor magicbook 14 2020 Amd rayzen 5 model with 8gb ram and 256 SSD I am looking to covert 256 to 1tb SSD. Have looked for videos but found nothing, will be very helpful if you could make a detailed video on the above mentioned. Thank you.
I just got a new laptop, but it only has 1 single m.2 slot with a 256GB drive. I decided to upgrade the storage to 1TB since m.2's are on sale, and I havent even booted it yet. I dont have an external caddy, but im considering just making a USB install stick of windows 10 or 11, and then looking at what drivers I need to run my new laptop
Great info but I need advice because I was told by an IT tech friend to just buy a 4tb external hard drive as my MSI C Series laptop is saying not enough storage and is sluggish. He said I should just work off that. But I don't know if this is the right solution? Any help would be greatly helpful
If I were to replace my drive with another one with larger space all my files and games will be gone and I'd have to reinstall everything right? And also could I use any ssd/drive for my laptop or do I have to use specific ones
If you did replace your current drive with another one, you need to buy a external hard drive that has at least the maximum storage of you old one. Before you take the old one out, click the windows but and type 'backup settings' From there you can add the external hard drive to your backups and set any or everything that you need to it. After doing this click the 'backup' option and it should start saving all your files on you pc. Once that is done, you may uninstall the old hard drive and install the new one. Once you have set up the new hard drive, you can "restore from a hard drive" under 'backup' in windows settings. Restore your files and you are done! As for what you should get for your laptop, I suggest doing some research on your laptop's model number and what your limits to changing it are. Hope this helps!
Not sure where You get the " Need Product Key for Windows 10 " From.. as if Windows 10 has been legit installed before then re-installing Windows will self Activate (( Just Saying )) Cheers for Vid

Great point! Luckily most machines I've had in have been agnostic to that, but it's a good thing to keep in mind and check.

@@Starraeskies me too lol. Great deal
I used Macrium Reflect to clone from the old drive to the new drive then expanded the partition to fill the empty space
Does this also work for software from the manufacture like Armory crate from Asus as an example, or will i have to get the drivers separate
