Thanks Mike, sorry about that - as mentioned the battery got jammed in my handheld gopro so I couldn't use that on this one. Plenty more bike to come, in the meantime do check out my Instagram as there are loads of pics on there. Search for twowheelstommy 👍
Another great ride mate. I remember going to Black gang Chine back in the day. The old version before it fell into the sea😢 Had many a great holiday on the IOW back in the day.
Thank you John. Ha yes I have been a few times over the last 40 years and each time a bit more has slid into the sea! They are still spending money on it though so fair play to them. It is a good day out 👍
17 minutes 46 seconds in, that was a lovely view, honestly, don't ever worry about not talking, the vistas say it all with the sound of your engine too. The military road is a definite on my to do list. Thanks for sharing and see you on your next adventure 🤙 🤟
Thank you, I am working on the audio since I moved my helmet cam as I had to move the mic and I am now getting a bit more wind noise as you saw in this video. It is a fine balance but I'm getting there 💪 Audio perfection coming soon 😀
Great vlog Tommy, that Military Road is fantastic, made for your bike. Great to see the chalk cliffs of the Downs past Freshwater. Plenty of bushes in the Blackgang car park ! You'd gone up an octave by the time you were signing off !
Thanks Rob, it is amazing to ride on. Always loved driving it but it is better on a bike for sure. I won't ask how you know about the bushes in Blackgang 🤣 Haha yes it was reaching tipping point by the time I got back to my workshop !
Great video Tommy 💪🏼100% the best road on the island 🤩 don’t even remember how many times I’ve been across it on my bike now but it gets better everytime 😂🤩 the one road u can’t get bored of unless it’s a day of slow drivers 😂 Good to see you out and about on the bike 🏍️💨
Thanks Harriet. Yes we are lucky to have such an amazing road. I think it is probably impossible not to get held up at some point. Too many geriatrics! I have racked up some miles this week. 4 hours yesterday making a future video 😀
Must say that your riding as come on leaps and bounds. Just a little advise on running in the bike. Modulate your throttle by going up and down the gears. Much better than keeping a constant throttle position.
Why did you buy such a big bike from a 125cc was it a macho thing as you did say you would not take your 125cc to a bike night to ashamed to turn up in it. You can never use the power it has legally. Was it just looks or something else
I didn't go looking for such a big engined bike. I saw A Triumph Bobber, liked it and then found out it had a 1200cc engine. It could have a 450 for all I care. I believe I did not say I 'would not' take my 125 to a bike night, rather I 'didn't want to' as I wanted to save it for after I'd passed my test. When I passed my test I sold my 125 within a couple of days so it had to be on my new bike. If I could have kept my 125 too I would have done, but selling it allowed me to buy the brand new bike of my dreams. Hope that clears a few things up :)
@@TwoWheelsTommy high Tommy not knocking your choice just wounded why you went for it. Love its sound. I have xsr 125cc bike would like to pass my test but cannot justify spending the £1800 on part 1&2 and then get a larger bike but would be looking for a automatic gear box, with a cc no more than 750cc Honda or maybe the new Yamaha if they will do one in say 400/500 or 600cc. That’s my hope in a year or two. Anyway stay safe and have fun on your new bike and remember it’s not about how fast you can get from A to B but enjoining the ride that want I say. at 61 years old I don’t think I could handle the weight and power of your bike. Just looking for something I could waddle along and enjoying the ride and scenery and stop off for a burger
@senna4281 Thanks, yes it does sound great! Your XSR sounds like a nice bike. £1800 for MOD 1 and 2 seems very expensive, mine was about £850. You should have a look at the new Honda E-clutch bikes (I rode one of them in one of my MOD 1 videos so maybe check that out) as you can ride them as per an automatic. I'm with you there, I'm not about going fast, comfy is more my deal and the Bobber ticks that box for sure. Nice to have some power if you need it though. I will say, all of the weight on the Bobber is low down so it is very easy to handle and ride. Though it is much heavier than my 125 was, it does not feel that way. Good luck getting your MOD 1 and 2 sorted 💪🚀
Beautiful scenery but l wanted to see the Triumph, ah well 😮

Excellent news, Hoggy! Glad to be of service, you have many smiles ahead of you now 😀
The engine note is really nice.
Thank you, I'm working on ways to make the audio even clearer so watch this space!
Your riding is impeccable with your new beast! Almost like it was meant to be 👊👊
Thanks man, really starting to get used to it now 💪

In the wrong lane at that junction Tommy. Tut, tut. Lol
Which one?
@@TwoWheelsTommy The one at 43 minutes.
@ronlysons6750 So I was!
I've driven and ridden that road and it is truly epic. Bike sounds great BTW
Thank you, it is a great stretch of road for sure 😀

love the new logo man!
Thanks a lot 😀
Awesome view, just near orford in Suffolk uk, about 35 miles from me, there's a road through a forest full of twisties, i love riding that road.
Thanks John, Military Road is awesome. Your forest road sounds idylic. Watch out for wet leaves 🤣

Thank you. I was having a read through the owners manual and it says vary the riding style over the first 1000 miles. Good tip 👍
I can see why they wanted to do a IOW TT down it .
It would be an epic race and bring so much money to the island.
We tried driving down it the other week on a visit to IOW but the police closed it at freshwater , probably accident .😮
How annoying for you Tony, sadly it is a bit of an accident hotspot. A lot of people run out of talent along this stretch. Definitely try again 💪
Hi Tommy can I ask what the green light on your speedo is it seems to be on all the time
Hin Ian, yes the green light means that the daytime running light (DRL) is on 👍
First 😂
Congratulations 😀
