Hi Lucky Joe and great job getting that one out of that tight crack! Persistence is the mother of success isn't it? I've been there Sir. Also have a Gold Bug 2 that I absolutely love. But it wasn't actually so at first. It took some getting used to for two reasons. First, I came from experience with another famous US made gold detector with automatic ground balancing and the Gold Bug 2 has to be manually balanced and that was something I'd never done. But I read and re-read the GB2 manual and played with the machine until I got it down pat. It's really pretty simple and now I don;t have to even think about it really. There is IMHO a definite advantage to manually balancing in finding the gold especially in highly mineralized areas where it usually hides. Second, the Gold Bug 2 is sensitive and I mean REALLY sensitive. Fact is most of the gold out there is tiny little pieces and the GB2 does an excellent job at finding it. I have picked up more tiny gold with this puppy that with my auto tracking machine. It all adds up over time! I use only the 6" small head as you do since most of the gold is near the surface. Thank you again for your excellent video and I look forward to many more! Good Hunting Lucky Joe!
@@Affordableopeners That's awesome!.. I'm going to have to pay them a visit myself. I just saw there booth at the last Outdoor show I was at in Sacramento.

There are days in the summer here that I truly wish I could wear sandals...
I don't know the GPS coordinates, but it is right outside of Pine Grove, CA. It is a wonderful family vacation spot.
Nice job of detecting
Well done! New sub

I can't get out as much as I like as of late, but yes, I will be posting videos as I am able. I do have another trip to Roaring Camp set for August.
