NEVER DELETE THIS! THIS IS VERY HELPFUL!!!!!! THANK YOU!
Thanks for the Tut! Successfully loaded latest stable Cyanogenmod on my Nexus with Android 4.3
Lol glad they helped. I actually went back to stock myself but since this is the newest Nexus I'm sure it'll be one of the first devices to get stable CM10.
who know if you still check this or not but you are very correct sir, this information is still relevant as of 1/26/17 the app did not work for my but the other method did just fine, ty again.
Wish it was more stable...love your vids man. You've helped me out of a couple fuck ups I've done.
Yes! You got one as well! I just bought mine last week, perfect for reading my college texts.
Yes but I couldn't tell you which ones, since it would take too long. The website linked in the video description with available versions of CM for the N7 has a list on the left. The list on the left is a list of all supported devices. If you prefer another method, you can go to the official CyanogenMod website, click devices and you'll see options to filter your search.
Cheers for the video mate
I updated the description with the info. It's near the bottom, cheers.
CM10.1 won't really speed things up by much but overclocking might. Keep in mind that the Nexus 7 is a pretty decent tablet and for myself it handles games quite well. The problem with game developers is that many of them don't optimize it for different devices and chip sets, in the case of the Nexus 7 that would be the Tegra 3 chip.
You could probably skip root, and load the ROM simply with a custom recovery. However, rooting is usually easier to accomplish than any other Android mod so I recommend you root first. Most importantly rooting allows you to use the app "Titanium Backup", which is an app to backup phone data. So to answer your other question, you will lose your apps and saved data without root and using Titanium Backup, but you might have to manually re-add widgets and stuff to your desktop layout.
thx brah really helped!
THANK YOU YOU SAVED MY NEXUS 7 FROM BOOTLOOP :DDDD
If I'm not mistaken, the person that created CWM also created ROM Manager. In Google Play take a look at the developer of ROM Manager, it's ClockworkMod lol. Personally though I don't use ROM Manager, its not the most stable method, manual installation is more reliable.
man, I have android 5.1 on my nexus... I can't reboot it with clockword. What should I do?
Hi
the CyanogenMod is for the ROM .Can I flash the kernel with trinity 7 and flash the ROM with CM? DID that work? Please writte back!!!
@JakeOlmilla Cyanogenmod 10.1.1 is the latest; CM is its own firmware based on Android. CM 10.1.1 is based on 4.2.x because the x.x.2 for android is simply updates Google made. So i guess the answer is yes
yes. Now the CM team is currently working on CM10.1 which will be based on Android 4.2.
Once you have a custom recovery on your tablet like ClockworkMod then it doesn't matter which version of Android you have, it'll work.
Thanks!
I know what you mean I reverted back to stock, but since its a Nexus and the newest one, its most likely going to get a stable version the soonest.
xposed installer > CynogenMod
still good tutorial :)
Thanks
My 2012 nexus7 has lolipop installed. I need to run cm10 in order to install timurs kernel. Do I have to downgrade back to kit kat to install cm10 or can I just flash it on top of 5.1?
Mango, great app.
why cant I use rom manager (download roms) when I have TWRP instead of CWM?!
does this also works for Android 4.2.2?
Thanks, Liked, and Subed :)
