However root still not active , tried downloading SuperSu and flashing the zip, but messed everything up wasn't booting, have just go it back now after re-flashing default system images from google. Root still not functioning any ideas ? Flashing seems unstable and default supersu installer with twrp is not working either , am i using wrong twrp version for lollipop ?

Plz help . I did not do it this way I downloaded twrp from the app and after I went into recovery to make a backup it said failed.
When my device is in bootloader and i type fastboot oem unlock it says waiting for device, my computer is running windows 10 and when it goes into bootloader it says unrecognised usb device but if it is on normal it detects it as nexus 7, i have tried installer new drivers, trying different tutorials etc but the same problem occurs :(
Jacob Pollard uninstall previous drivers that you have installed and the again install drivers.
Just so you know, you don't need to type the whole filename, just enter the first few characters and hit TAB, if there are no other files with a similar name it will auto-complete the filename.

HI, I have used usb hub, that was the problem. Now installed well TWRP.
Tomsgt123 inbox me when you get a chance. I just got my New Nexus 7 and it came with the KitKat update ready to go out of the box. Once the system booted it gave me the error "UIDs on the system are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable". and of course (like Google) it gives that "I'm feeling lucky" Once I swiped to unlock everything started crashing. So long story short, I tried to go into the boot loader to do a data and factory wipe, but when I go to recovery mode I get the android with the red triangle and below it says "No Command" as if there's no recovery program whatsoever on this thing. I wound up restarting it and was able to get into settings to do a factory reset, but I still get this No Command when trying to go into recovery mode.
Once in recovery did you press both volume up and down at the same time a ton of times. Sometimes this will get recovery working.
So keep trying that while the dead droid is on the screen?

How long does it take to unlock? Mine has just been sitting there for about 5 minutes now. CMD reads erasing userdata...

I just followed your instruction, but my devices stuck on unlock bootloader after i pressed Yes to confirm it. Not only this, the cmd I inputed "fastboot oem unlock"failed too.(unknown code). Can you tell me whats wrong with my device? It hasnt been unlocked and rooted yet.
Do you have TWRP for Nexus 7 2012? I have installed this but TWRP not booted. Thanks
Thanks for the effort. Unfortunately, your Google drive page doesn't contain the zip, which makes this video irrelevant. The indiv files are there, though. Just too long to download each one individually. Easier to follow videos of others. Thanks

Hi, It wont load the team win recovery. Its just stuck on google with the little unlocked lock in the bottom. Is it safe to restart it? Or will i destroy it?

please i read on how to unlock nexus bootloader but it didnt work for me because my userdata wont wipe succesfully i plead to u if u can send me a bootloader.img file of an already unlocked device the model is nexus 7 2013 lte thanks in advance to anyone why will help me with that.

Hey my nexus 7 is stuck on the goggle logo and when I press the option to unlock bootloader, it just freezes on the unlock bootloader screen. If there anything I can do to fix this issue?
Victor brother , your phone is Bricker but don't worry , just download nexus toolkit , install required drivers and install stock rom.
Abhijeet Gupta I did and when it tells me to select yes to unlock bootloader the tablet freezes after I select yes
1. Switch off the tab.
2. Uninstall all the drivers you have installed previously.
3. Install new drivers through the link given in description of the video.
4. Install nexus toolkit.
5. Open fastboot mode and connect your tablet .
6. Open nexus toolkit and select unbrick.
7. Done!!!

u have to download and install google usb driver first. i went to this site h t t p:// developer. android.com/sdk/index.html and dowloaded android sdk. downloaded the usb driver through that program
query, I enter fastboot mode, but when I want to start normally or want to enter recovery mode does not let me, osea does nothing, as q the power button is dead, adema to connect it to the pc or I detect it (drivers installed), q can be?? is it dead?
