- The best sleeping position for you shouldn't be something you lose sleep over! Doctor Jo will show you how to get your body in a neutral sleeping position for a better night's sleep. The Womfy features a patented design that follows the contours of your face better than a regular pillow. It also has cutouts for your ears to provide a more comfortable sleep for side-sleepers.
The pillow also features a removable riser that can be easily added or removed to help you attain a neutral sleeping position.

Need sleeping position recommend or help for those that are fluffy, my shoulder hurt from sleeping on side because extra weight, so I find myself tossing and turning a lot. And if I prop my shoulders to much then my neck hurts. Help

You lack control of your body. Your body controls you and makes your life chaotic and unpredictable
@Ali Mujahid He's right tho. You really lack control of your body. I always sleep in the position I set my mind to. All I have to do is pick a position, then just think about sleeping like that for a few seconds. I rarely wake up in different positions in the morning... and only when I'm really stressed. When I was younger I could even think about the time I wanted to wake up at, and I'd wake up around that time... 5-10 minutes give or take.

Yeah, I would definetly have that. I sleep on my tummy if im sick and I cant stop coughing at night. That helps, at least for me

I am a side sleeper and I've been noticing my shoulders are not happy with me. And I cant sleep on my back. I'm trying different positions but either my neck or shoulders hurt. I use only one pillow for my neck and one I either curl up to it I put my upper leg on. I'd love any tips! Thanks!
Maybe your bed is the one at fault there me too I had the same problem once à switch bed for on a bit more fluffier it stopped

I have same issue tried extending shoulders but they felt more uncomfortable so i just switch from left to right every couple nights
@@bksd1775 I have now found if I put one shoulder fully back, where I am almost on my stomach, my shoulder is better. Or I move it more forward, but then I am almost on my back and it doesn't work as well for me. but my hand doesn't fall asleep when I move my arm back now.

For the past ten years or so, whenever I sleep on my side or back, I have constant vertigo throughout the day when I'm awake. Only when I sleep on my stomach do I not get any vertigo, but I wake up suffocating constantly throughout the night. Since the vertigo is a real hindrance to me and prevents me from having enough energy, feeling fresh and being able to think straight, I'd take suffocating and waking up any time instead.
Go to neurologist and or sleep doctor. Could be apnea or something. Either way don't wait. Life is too short to spend it suffering when there could be a solution.
Can we get an update? Have you seen a specialist? This sounds awful :(

I trained myself to sleep on my back and perfectly flat/hands to sides, etc.. I only did it specifically for anti-aging benefits, reduced wrinkle formation, creasing, etc. I’ve actually been totally satisfied and happy with it except sometimes it does cause me a great deal of back or neck pain for some reason. So I do mix it up and lie on my side sometimes. And it seems to overall be better than sleeping on my stomach like I used to.
I have an muscle imbalance in my waist now because of my wrong sleeping positions, so i want to say you'll sleep in correct position 😌

I tend to sleep on my belly or my side. I only ever sleep on my back if I'm having back problems and I just really don't want to mess anything up too bad. Though the most comfortable position for me, is on my belly.
Belly sleeping is okay as long as there is no pain.

Why do you need to know?
Not on your back, other positions may help, but being on the back tends to promote the closure of the airway. Being on your side may help, or you'll need actual medical treatment for the apnea.

Dear doctor hope you would fine and doing well I have pain in chest that is propagating in my chest around some time came to ribs and upper lower chest..my pillow was small and bifold and sleep..what I can do now ..even I am setting on chair or moving I feel pain in different sites chest pain..please guide me thank you.

@AskDoctorJo had to change my lifestyle don't smoke and I've stopped alcohol I do calisthenics 4 times a week started a year ago really has helped and also eat whole foods no takeaways etc its hard but working once again many rhanks

I understand sleeping on stomach isnt best but i find lying on stomach facedown as an exercise for 5 or 10 minutes is best to relax my lower back which does better than lying on back? I find the cobra exercise a bit strenuous.
