The little rectangular square intake hole to the tank would get clogged all the time with dog hair...cleaned the filter really good and good as new. Love this vac!!
If your rear filter is getting anywhere near that clogged, there is something wrong. It's there to capture the minute particles, not sawdust. Not to mention that it should be routinely cleaned well before it can noticeably affect the suction.
I used sawdust to illustrate a clogged filter. I was able to clog the filter by sucking up sawdust over and over for a half hour opposed to waiting another 6 months for it to naturally clog from vacuuming the house. I know what you mean though.
@@chrisnotap Really. I've got an earlier model and the vacuum simply doesn't let anywhere near that size of particle past the bin and out to the filter. I guess they've compromised somewhere in later models in their desire to up run time, suction pressure etc. Handy to know.
Chris, I would be interested in an Amazon link to the vacuum itself, or to another brand of similar quality. Thanks! And thanks for another great do it yourself video! You’re the best!
I don't have a dyson handheld vacuum. I don't have any dyson anything. Perhaps that small one on a handle with long brushes would be great for cleaning my laser printer. Great video
After trying everything and still getting the pulsing, try cleaning the rubber gaskets that "seal" the connections of the filter, dirt cannister, etc. While looking clean, these gaskets can be embedded with dust thus not allowing a complete vacuum seal on the unit. A vacumm leak can cause the pulsing as well. Just wipe each gasket with an appropriate cleaner that will clean the rubber material.
Even on their corded vacuums, buy an extra filter. The internals will also accumulate stuff over time, reducing internal airflows. They need cleaned out quarterly.
I have a Dyson I have tried all of your suggestions . Took a air hose blew out everything I could get with a blow gun. Washed all the filters that are washable and let dry thoroughly . Still have a pulsating Dyson. What other suggestions if any can I try? Thanks
It's in the description under the video. On your Phone, click the down arrow to the right under the video, then click "more". On your Desktop, click "show more" under the video. On your iPad, to the right under the video, you'll see a little down arrow. Click on it. A window will open to the right of the video. In that window you'll see the word "MORE". Click on it and you'll see the links there. I hope that helps!!
Hello! I recently put a lot of effort into my crime documentary, and I find the resulting content very valuable. It would mean a lot to me to hear your thoughts after watching the video. If you could take the time to watch and share your feedback, that would be fantastic. Take care, and I hope to hear from you soon!
0:44 It's Chris Sometimestap now boys.
Chris Tappa-tap-tap (after AvE)
Very informative video. I just got one of these and it's good to know and actually see the problem taking place and the fix.
Thanks.👍
Always good to see another of your videos!
Great video. I like the cardboard looking license plate on the mirror.
Good stuff as always!
Another video so soon! I like it! Thank you again for another 2 very helpful tips!

Yeah always have extra filters. Also clean out the guts quarterly. Air compressors great for this.

Hey, Chris. Pretty cool looking Vacuum you got there. Can you put a link for it under the video also? I might need one.
I added that link.

Get a flashlight and have a really good look inside the vacuum, inside the tube and in the carpet head. Use a pen or pencil to probe if necessary.
I clean the Dyson with air pressure, just make sure you do it outside. You'd be surprised on how much dust is trapped inside the Dyson.
I don’t see the information to order new filters ?

Depending on the model, it may have more than one filter.
Yes I think some do.
