There should be protection for the bridge against oncoming traffic in the water,, this should have never happened,, builders are only worried about saving materials not lives,, protection for the bridge, period..🙏
You would need a Reinforced casing the size of 2 football fields to protect the structure !!
So sorry to the construction workers families, so sad!
Tug boats should b assigned to ea ship leaving port on all sides to guide them out pass the bridge..4 at least.....but companies dont want to pay for it.....ALL ABOUT MONEY...they should b force to use TUG BOATS....now u have this to deal with....TRIFFLIN
She was in trouble no steering, losing Revs, burning heavy black smoke .. long before she hit the pier casing..
The boat took a sharp right shortly before hitting the bridge. Loosing steering would make it go straight with its momentum. It was instead steered into the column.
Then the incompetent Captain and Crew panicked, didn't drop anchor, and caused the bridge to collapse
@@AlexanderZapataIndividualLogical conclusion, and dropping the anchors would have also stopped the ship from hitting the bridge as well
@@optimusprinceps3526 Exactly ...the question as to why the was no anchor dropped is for the Captain to try and Answer..
@@v-neck To deploy the Anchor seems that would take over an hour. It is not as nimble as on smaller ships.
