I've had this TV for a week now, and I can honestly say I don’t see any issues with off angle viewing or reflections. Obviously, the screen has some reflection when it is off, but once it is on, there isn't an issue. I mean, if you are watching a very dark movie, while sittting in a brightly lit room, with bay windows, and every light in the house on there may be an issue, but that's what blinds and light switches are for. Picture processing is amazing in SDR and HDR. Upon rewatching some movies, I saw details and textures I didn’t know existed. Colors are very vibrant in SDR and HDR. Streaming even looks close or on par with disc. Gaming mode also looks great after a few minor adjustments. I thought my 2018 Vizio P65-f1 looked great, but after staring at this TV for a week, I may have been very wrong. If you get this TV you will not be disappointed. I'm convinced that they review these TVs in some absurd lighting conditions and from angles no one will ever be watching from.
I’m really disappointed in all these UA-camrs reviewing tech. All of them- and I watched like dozens of different reviews of Sony Bravia 7- talking about bad view angles. Just came back from store. Stop with this bs about angles- they are totally okay and not as bad as they say. I’m picky and it was really hard to spot any distortions at smaller degree, I could barely spot some color and brightness distortion almost at 70 or 80 degrees- not at 20 as they say- at least not for a naked eye. Was comparing to QN90D and choosing out these 2. Sony is the winner for me, no doubts.
Fully agree. My wife and I are looking for a new TV, saw a bunch of reviews and thought I'd go have a look in person. There's the smallest shift in colour but it's not a deal breaker, and definitely not as exaggerated as the reviews make it out to be. Anyway, who the hell watches TV at such a wide viewing angle for more than a minute?
Talking from my personal experience, the angels are not as bad on the bigger screen sizes. I got an 85 inch tv which means the covered watching stance with preserved video quality is quite large (unless you want to watch it from 70-90 degree angle from the centre either side, again, why?). I do agree it’s a bit pricey when paid in full but there’s plenty of sales on this model, it’s a steal! Is it worth it? Heck yes
Ok so I own the 75” Bravia 7. Coming from a 75x95g. I primarily use my TV for watching films on bluray (standard and 4k discs), streaming through all the standard apps and sport (4k when available). No gaming. I’ve calibrated it to Rtings recommendations but honestly out of the box it was pretty close. Does it have some reflection during the day when it’s full sunny, yes but it’s honestly not annoying or something that affects the viewing experience. Is there blooming, yes but honestly only if your really looking for it and when I say looking for it’s totally not a factor. Viewing angle isn’t that bad either. I feel like these things are big beat ups and really great to know but in real world factors not an issue. You can complain about the price but you’re buying the Rolls Royce of processing and brand imo. Accuracy and true to the directors content is what I’m all about and this is flawless! I’m not justifying my purchase, I got it super cheap through good contacts so I’m lucky but the tv is really amazing
Interesting. I’ve got a 65” x950g in Aus and considering this as an upgrade in the near future. What’s the 4k HDR content difference - usually play mine via PS5 so not high standard but definitely interested in the difference generally speaking.
@@PurpleLightsaber32 I loved that TV - unfortunately it was dropped in a recent move so was forced to upgrade. The 95G was my first top TV and boy did I get amazing use out of it. This is a massive jump but honestly you’re not going to get that wow I got from buying the 95G. It’s improvements all round especially in the blacks and colour. After 3 months of use there really isn’t anything I can talk about badly apart from the viewing angle stuff which only because I look for it you can def see the colour wash out when you move off centre. Again nothing bad but it’s there. From my own research prior to buying the B7, the direct comparison to our 95g would have been the x90L and that is great telly for the price. This is a big jump
@@PurpleLightsaber32 look off the bat the X95G is an amazing telly and my first top TV. The only reason I had to upgrade is due to it being dropped in a recent move. 4K HDR and even SDR is where it does its best work. The picture looks more vibrant and colours are way deeper than 95G. Blacks are the biggest jump. In all aspects the tv is better from the OS to the performance. Sound was a big one too when playing through my Denon amp or recently when I updated to the Q990d. All formats play as well even from my USB with it passing HD master audio. The biggest Ick I have is the viewing angle it really does wash out if you’re not off centre but again not a factor. It’s just because I’m aware and look for it. Don’t think you’re going to absolutely wowed the x95g stacks up. But it’s def a big improvement. If you were going let’s say the x90L then it wouldn’t be that much diff but this is def a big upgrade.
I just saw this one at best buy, who finally had a display turned on. I just wasn't noticing what they were describing with the off angle viewing. Maybe my wife and I are not sensitive to it, but we just weren't seeing a drop in picture quality. The oled (bravia 8) next to it had horrible store lights reflections in comparison to the 7. I was very pleasantly surprised by it after watching several reviews that parrot the same off angle and reflections downsides. Best buy just dropped the 85-inch to $2499, so I placed my order. Huge difference in price (%4,799) from the 9 whcih i was my other choice.
Good review. I purchased the Bravia 7 over the Bravia 9 because I needed the 55" size in my living room. I replaced a 7 year old Sony TV that started the back light pulsing. I have to say this TV isn't perfect and the viewing angles are the only negative that I only sometimes notice. From a technical perspective Sony nocks it out of the park with image processing. Sony just does it best IMO. I've watched other friends TVs and viewed Samsung and LGs offering in stores and the Sony images just look better to my eyes. After all I'm the one that's viewing it. I only need the use of one HDMI 2.1 port as this will not be my gaming TV and will only have a Sonos system plugged in. For me this was the best TV offered in the 55" Inch category. I would have gone Bravia 9 if it had a 55" offering.
Verdict say C4 is better than B7 in dark rooms but usually one watches in bright rooms (with sunlight/electric light), B7 should be the better alternative since it is brighter also.
The U8 isn't better because upscaling is a BIG thing. Unless you watch exclusive 4k content, MOST content is 720P and 1080P and needs upscaled. 144Hz is nearly useless because No console on the market can game higher than 120Hz, so ignore the 144hz unless you plan to use it as a computer monitor and you have a graphics card like a 4080 or 7900XTX to even Reach 144Hz at 4K. it's really not fair to compare it to an OLED just because of price. There is also a B4 OLED that's even cheaper than the C4... Compare LED to LED... I think Rtings just kind of "hate reviews" Sony products. They ALWAYS recommend something else instead. The Bravia 8 is WAY better than the review they gave it here as well.. Sometimes they just look at numbers and think that tells the whole story, like the 144hz business.. its nearly useless but they make it out to be WAY better..... its not.
I even think the 120 HZ 0 isn't as big a deal as people make it out to be. For example on PS5 there have been 850 game releases on the system to date, 104 of which are capable of 120 HZ playback, 97 of which I have absolutely no interest in ever playing. It's almost like complaining about cars that don't drive well in the snow but the only customers buying the cars are in Florida, it's like it's not even a problem.😂
MediaTek (who make the SOC in Sony’s TVs, along with many other brands) have just announced a new chip that allows for all four HDMI ports to be HDMI 2.1 and will be in consumer TVs from 2025. So if having all four HDMI ports be 2.1 compatible is important to you then you might want to wait another year to upgrade.
Man if this thing had better viewing angle and was $500 cheaper then I think it’d be a serious contender for a lot of people. At $2k it’s just too hard to forgive it for its obvious faults.
I saw it in store I prefer X93L over Bravia 7. Hisense 2022 U8H 160000:1 contrast ratio Evan look significantly better than 2024 Bravia 7 100000:1 . N Bravia 7 is too fine Grain Matted glare . 😮 At least X93L is glossier even tho X93L has (low dynamic contrast ) issue has soft image . 😮
@@notsoeloquent "Black level looks raised from an angle of 14° and the gamma noticeably shifts from 17° onwards, heck you can barely move when watching this TV" - as stated in the video. Sounds like even 30 degrees will be really pushing it!

Great work Abby and RTINGS! Thanks for the in-depth review of the Bravia 7! It would be great to have some confirmation if the Bravia 7 supports full 4:4:4 chroma subsampling at 4K 120hz with HDR/VRR enabled in both Game and PC mode. The Mediatek Pentonic 1000 SoC is likely to support this.
Rtings doesn't know this stuff. They clearly just have their formula and everything has to be OLED. Rtings is only interesting to see some measurement results. Their scoring makes zero sense. They value certain aspects more and that affect scoring when in reality for you or me that might have much less bearing on the score.
@@Swecan76 Totally, I get your point and I don't rely too much on the scoring as well. It is difficult to please everyone when trying to adjust scoring formula. And yes, RTINGS are very useful for their measurement results which I've appreciated since 2016. Before discovering RTINGS, I had to bring my Laptop along with me to several stores just to test for full 4:4:4 chroma subsampling support and other aspects of picture quality via playing several test clips on each of the TVs on my consideration list just to finalize my buying decisions. I hope Rtings adds this additional test since there were stability and compatibility issues with this in the previous years as reported by multiple owners of several TVs.
@@Swecan76 I hope they implement the tests for this. It'll help us PC users since HDR and VRR can be problematic in previous TVs to get working with full 4:4:4 chroma. Otherwise, we'll have to wait for Vincent who seems to be busy with tech shows this month. It'll probably be weeks before his reviews are available.
I’m looking at this tv or the Bravia 9 when it comes to uk in 65” which it apparently is. I would have OLED but despite what all the OLED fanboys say there are still cases of people having problems with their screen. I had 3 OLED 2/3 years ago and all went back and I still hear of it happening now. People say this isn’t worth the price well neither is an OLED with the risk it has.
If you connect a 2.1 receiver to hdmi 3, please explain how you are losing one 2.1 port when I've actually gained an extra 3 ports that support 4k120 on my Denon X2800H, while also supporting thar in HDR/Dolby Vision. Why do reviewers miss this out ???? This is all connected to my A95K & im also using my Series X & PS5
Most ppl don’t have receivers, they just plug everything in the tv, I decent receive cost lol $500 minimum, ppl don’t wanna buy a tv then buy a receiver , most ppl use Their tv audio

Overall the Bravia 7 seems like a great addition to Sony's lineup. As usual the price is high but quality costs more. That's especially true when the competing Hisense set is known to have quality control issues.
I don’t know dude , I saw it last week at Bestbuy .i prefer the SONY X93L(semi gloss, more glossy version of Semi) over this one . The Bravia7 has thick fine grain matted screen . Hey, I have the X95G myself and still works nicely, though i have never updated it, last update - dec 2019. How did your unit die? I am quite interested and id be happy if you give me some details. Btw upgraded to X95L recently and it is quite the step up.
A friend got the BRAVIA 3 the Biggest thing he said was DETAIL in the images Other than that he said for the price everything else works really well once you get the settings right and he said it give the U8N a run for it's money as he Has that TV Hope that helps
Wow is it really that much worse than the QN90D for reflections? Looking at 4:42 here and at about the same mark on the QN90D review and it is shockingly worse. Or is there something else going on with differences in how these were shot/analyzed?
Are reflections so important to you? Because in every other aspect it blows QN90D out of the park. I saw both side by side, bravia 7 is absolutely stunning.
@@realmilind Yeah the Bravia is a great tv if you only sit in the dead center and watch everything in light controlled conditions. In that setting it is scarcely better than the QN90d but it is much worse in all other cases. New review here - ua-cam.com/video/fZ_LVPAKaUE/v-deo.html
It would be awesome to see a side by side comparison of Sony Bravia 7 and Sony X95L, because the production of X95L should be continued and they will be present on market together.
Seems like a pretty good TV, would have to test the viewing angles myself though. Im upgrading from a budget 1080p samsung and dont notice major issues.
@alsayedfakhri4597 - VA panels provide better contrast at the cost of more narrow viewing angles. Step up to the Bravia 9 if wider viewing angles are important to you.
I'm debating between Bravia 7 and Bravia 9 because the price difference is big Can you explain the differences between them and whether the price difference is worth the investment. I mainly watch football in a lighted room. Today I have a Sony OLED TV and it has problems with burning pixels, so I want to switch to a TV with mini LED technology thanks
@@notsoeloquent If that's so, why are the HDR images of the Bravia 7 on Ratings not clearer than the X95L's? Granted, it's a camera but every Sony is clearer than other TV manufacturers by a mile so they are picking up detail.
Another way of looking at it: everyone hooking up their soundbar/receiver with HDMI 2.1 ports to the Hisense, will have all the HDMI ports downgraded to 2.0. On the Sony you’ll actually get extra HDMI 2.1 ports. Perspective 🤷♂️
Great review of the Bravia 7, RTINGS! I plan on still getting the Bravia 7 as my new TV. Although OLED looks great and is still better than LCD/LED TVs in almost every category, I personally can't justify the price, nor do I like the risk of burn-in that is inevitable to happen.
Don't do it. Stick with OLED. I'm returning my B7 because my 2 y.o. old oled blows this tv away, no comparison. And my oled has over 8,000 hours with zero burn in. Even showing a totally grey screen, no usage retention at all. Also when I return it, I will be getting the LG C3 which is $400 cheaper and has real blacks, not Grey's and an almost unlimited viewing angle. You MUST sit directly centered with tv or blacks are washed out. Reflections also worse that my old LG
@@mrc2165lol okay bud. I have an A80l and the B7. Both are amazing. OLED PQ is great…but black crush and flicker is not. Stop pretending OLED is the answer for everything. It’s perfect for a dedicated movie room, sure, but not for all purpose tv use.
@@mrc2165returned an lg c4 for the Sony b7 😂 Idk why but the lg oled wrecked my eyes, despite having the best picture I’ve ever seen. Also, streaming shows had massive stutter, which could have possibly been corrected by adjusting settings. I also had that burn in fear at all times when I’m blasting Diablo 4 for a month straight. B7 feels far easier on my eyes compared to the lg for whatever reason, and even far better than my previous Samsung nu8000, likely due to mini led w/ local dimming rather than being blasted by edge lit, just less overall blue light. Gaming on the b7 is great. Cannot perceive a difference in response times between this and the c4. Movies look fantastic, especially 4K physical, and Netflix doesn’t stutter out of the box. Within 15° viewing angle shift, about the width of a couch at 7’, I see no difference in color or black levels. I love my b7.
Dear, i have sony tv, and the rating was good on ritings website, but during the updates on long times the ratings getting lowing on ritings website , was 8.1 now 7.9, so my question should i avoid updating the TV? Please advice.
I think they readjust rating as time goes on, otherwise a 9.0 from 10 years ago would still be a 9.0 even though technology has advanced so much its more in line with an entry level 7.0 nowadays.

Great review. You saved me from buying this TV because I thought it was identical to last years X95L (like the X93L was a rebranded X95K) but the downgrade in reflection handling makes it a hard pass for me as I have big living room windows and need great reflection handling more than anything else.
The viewing angles kill this TV because unlike the X90L which launched at $1,299 and dropped at $1,099, it's nearly double the price with better local dimming and more brightness (the X90L is decent). It's unacceptable at that price range... They should have gone with an ADS Pro, AUO, or even an IPS panel. It's insanity.
@@kenadams9725 Most TVs go into living rooms which may be small enough that there's no angle but most living rooms may have a seat that's a bit off angle and you will also walk around with the TV off angle. It does look jarring to see a TV lose color as you walk around the room.

Unfortunately Sony stopped offering 55" versions of their highest-end LCDs years ago, so I knew not to expect a 55" Bravia 9. What stings even more is that, here in Europe, we don't even get the Bravia 7 in 55". So basically the message from Sony is that, if I want a 2024 Sony TV in 55", it's OLED or bust.
Yeah like others have said i have no idea what's up with your set's viewing angles because i went to multiple best buys and the viewing angles on the Bravia 7 were miles better than the similarly scored viewing angles of the TCL QM7/8... what gives ?
That’s great. I thought your review format and content is excellent. Succinct and I like the comparisons at the end for positioning. Keep up the great content.
I wanted to ask the same. I hope RTINGS can answer here... X90L is much cheaper that bravia 7 and if it''s less reflecting light i would definetely go for it instead.
I have the 65" X95L and I would say the bravia 7 is better than the X90L. The 65" X90L has 80 dimming zones - The 65" bravia 7 has 480 dimming zones (same amount as the X95L). It's a better TV. Wait till black Friday for a deal.
I'm deciding between the Bravia 9 and Bravia 8. While I want the larger TV size (85 inches) that the Bravia 9 offers, I want a TV that excels at dark room gaming (Bravia 8). If I get the B8, it'll be my first OLED 😊
I went down the same path as you about 3 years ago. As someone who owns a sony a90j, if you're a brightness nut and want the best HDR experience when gaming, mini led is the way to go. I have had so many problems with ABL kicking in on my OLED. And the sdr brightness is laughable. I'm getting the Bravia 9. You really need to figure out what you prioritize. If it's pixel response, you want an OLED. If you want HDR pop, mini led. Oleds still struggle to come out of pure black to gray and suffer from black crush. When gaming, I've had issues not seeing people in dark corners due to this. I made a video on my channel covering my thought process
@@westyk52sparky the Bravia 8 is not a qd oled. It is a wrgb OLED from LG. I believe it is using the MLA technology as well. Could be wrong. Sony's a95l is carrying over from last year as their qd oled offering
Appreciate the advice everyone! What I will say is that burn in is an issue I'd prefer not to deal with. But I hear the Bravia 8 is using a new EVO panel from LG. Those are more resistant against burn in I hear.
Not as good as i was hoping for. Having just rejected an LG C3 for banding and then panel failure after two weeks i am still looking for a replacement and don't want another Oled. I am in no rush and might wait to see how much better next years models will be with the new Mediatek SoC. Thanks for another great review Abby.
yeah, get the LG C4 and enjoy DSE and OLED burning in less than a year or the Hisense with the color/white accuracy of a potato, and as reliable as a Chrysler the B7 isn't perfect, but I'd rather have poor viewing angles at 30+ degrees, than the B9/X93/X95L with Sony's X-Wide angle coat that is easily removed with a wet fabric, staining the screen permanently

But the U8N isn't just as good in every area. That is where it comes down to user preference. I would imagine since a TV is primarily a picture/image medium. One would think the priority would be how it handles the content and look at it's best.

I received it today. The viewing angle is horrible. I put the TV on a piece of furniture 1m high and the fact that I'm not sitting at the same height as the TV, the picture is washed out. It's crazy to pay 2000$ and have this kind of problem. I'm going to take it back to the store, it's a shame because the basic image is sublime.
That means it's not going to work for TVs over fireplaces. You'd be shocked how many people have their TVs installed there. Actually this TV probably can't be wall-mounted even 1 foot above the cabinet without a change in picture quality.

why? You either want OLED or you don't. Compare OLED to OLED and compare LED to LED. LED blooms. OLED doesn't. OLED is better at gaming. OLED isn't as bright. Do you need a Bright TV? go LED...
Comparing a Hisense tv to a Bravia 7 is a joke. Believe me the build quality of the Sony as well as the processing is in another league. I tried a Samsung S90D and an LG C4 before this and when you take into account the picture especially the processing this Sony is a clear winner 🏆. It’s only real weakness is the viewing angle but for me when you take into account everything else it does so well it’s no big deal. It has virtually no banding or macro blocking and excellent shadow detail, much better than the other 2 TV’s I mentioned. As for contrast compared to an OLED? Well we have reached a point now where the difference is too small to care about, this mini led is that good. You also don’t have to worry about oled screen reliability. I have spoken to multiple tv repair specialists and they have all warned me about OLED issues. I also got the backlit remote, which is a godsend. I am fussy when it comes to tv’s hence the shopping around before settling on the Bravia 7, so believe me when I say that this TV is excellent and built to last. Just taking a look at the chassis of the tv, the way it’s put together, the sturdy yet simple design of the feet etc I can tell this one is a keeper. And by the way I am probably only using about 25% of its brightness 🔆 potential and it still looks beautiful. Which once again speaks to longevity as i don’t need to over drive the tv. Bottom line is buy the Bravia 7, its state of the art. Just make sure that the narrower viewing angles don’t bother you too much. Happy 😊 holidays 🥂🥂
Very disappointing TV for the money especially when you compare it to the competition as shown at the end of the video. They still haven't fixed their lackluster gaming performance and features compared to TVs much cheaper too. I was excited for this TV but it's another disappointing set unless you exclusively watch movies. Cheaper brands are far better for gaming and at least on par for regular TV content.
@techsamurai11 they have lower input lag, for example the Samsungs and LGs have around ~5ms input lag at 4k120 whereas the Sony's have 10ms. I own a Sony TV currently and I can definitely feel the difference in responsiveness despite it being only millisecond differences. The Samsungs and LGs also have ~10ms input lag at 4K60 which is 6ms below one frame at 60hz whereas Sony has 17ms which is above one frame of input lag. Also support for 144hz and way more HDMI 2.1 ports which is good if you own a Gaming PC, eARC soundbar and console which require 3 ports.
@@Mo-eh1bq You should watch Digital Foundry where they talk about all games having massive internal lag that's 10x-30x more than the TV's lag. But the difference between a Sony and a LG in visual quality (not talking about the dim issues of the LG in SDR) is massive. Imagine playing FIFA on a LG and a Sony, the jerseys and crowd will be much clearer ont he Sony. If you owned a PS4 and games on a Sony, you were enjoying PS4 Pro level graphics.
@@Mo-eh1bq All games have their own lag which is 5x to 30x more than the TV's lag so what you feel isn't the TV but the game itself. The visual quality of a game like FIFA on the Sony vs LG is massive with the crowds, jerseys and decals. Any game really. If you had a PS4 and a Sony, you were enjoying PS4 Pro level graphics - that's how much more detailed the image was between Sony and LG. And it still is.
Moving the eARC port off the HDMI 2.1 makes it worthless for a HDMI 2.1 receiver. Since it now no longer can output 120hz or VRR etc. So anyone with a good high end Receiver would be SOL. using a U8N. Not everyone uses a soundbar. This would be the reason why Sony don't move that port.

There's literally zero difference, it's just marketing and numbers, especially for casual gaming at TV because don't tell me you do competitive gaming on a 65 inch VA TV.
I would say wait until 2026 and get the second best Sony mini-led from 2025 on a discount. Or just get the X95L this year at xmas or black friday, if any of them remain from last year.
Yes, this TV Does have a simi-gloss screen. I find that so weird that sony TV's input lag is not as good or better than the competition, since they do make PlayStation.
A very RTINGS review, thanks! Seems like a solid mini-LED with all the Sony hallmarks BUT not the one to challenge OLEDs - that's U8N this year, if Hisense can manage to firmware-out the bugs and inaccuracies that is! Or perhaps Bravia 9 and its bl master-drive has something to say about that. 2024 has been pretty meh for OLEDs and I welcome this whole mini-LED resurgence!
@@furballbear IMO in terms of their offerings relative to their competitors they don’t have leverage to command these prices this year, additionally I think global inflation will make most consumers price conscious, I think the market is shifting towards the Chinese manufacturers TCL and Hisense (like what’s happened with Korean companies Samsung and LG before) and Sony is yet to pivot or offer vastly superior technology.

Thanks for the review RTINGS, I was curious. We've tested the Bravia XR70 as well. It's a darn good tv..., if it wasn't for the extremely poor viewing angles. You can't sell a tv like this, especially not at this tier and price, so disappointed about that, Sony!
I'm wondering who Sony are aiming any of its 2024 range at to be blunt. Grossly expensive, not very good QLEDs which are still nowhere near its own OLEDs, no models other than arguably the 9 better than the G4 or even the now vastly reduced C3, and the 9 not available below 75" outside of the US.
It doesn’t spoil for no reason tho. I saw Bravia 7 last week at Best Buy ! Most underwhelming thing ! 😅 Fine grain matted n pestle also 😊 It helps u to put hard earned money on better stuff

How is live sports on B7?
@von6823 I don't watch sports, but from what I've heard, it looks pretty good.
Most of their complaints are towards things no one notices lol View angles? Nevetr noticed this until I discovered the OLED hive mind.
This TV is way better than rtings review says. I saw it in person today and its really fantastic looking
@@mbvx7 It really is.

Heck yes
I went to Costco and viewed this tv from an angle. I do not experience the same disappointment with its viewing angle. It looked fine to me.
I think the talk of viewing angles is highly overrated.

@@edithboozy1000 Did you get it?
How is watching live sports on B7?
Interesting. I’ve got a 65” x950g in Aus and considering this as an upgrade in the near future. What’s the 4k HDR content difference - usually play mine via PS5 so not high standard but definitely interested in the difference generally speaking.
@@von6823 4K AFL or F1 even the rugby looks stunning
Not everyone needs wide angles !!!, myself, I’m more interested in a great picture.
Verdict say C4 is better than B7 in dark rooms but usually one watches in bright rooms (with sunlight/electric light), B7 should be the better alternative since it is brighter also.
i recently checked out Bravia 7 and Lg C4 at store but to me the image looks clearer on Bravia 7. Ia that right?

@@jollama It would be great if you read my comment again. I said with HDR enabled which is not tested in their full review.

@lukevanderwaal - I suppose that's because Hisense users don't invest in high-end sound systems with HDMI 2.1 support.

Sony will learn this year their tv sales will suffer greatly
Viewing angles aren't a big deal for almost 90% of people, no one watch tv from extreme angles.
@@kenadams9725 Most TVs go into living rooms which may be small enough that there's no angle but most living rooms may have a seat that's a bit off angle and you will also walk around with the TV off angle. It does look jarring to see a TV lose color as you walk around the room.
tell me that from this tv and 80L which one is best ?
should I buy 80l or another model please suggest...

Bravia 7 is better than the 80L.
Sony should have offered the Bravia 9 in a 55" size. Another miss by Sony.
@CarreraTrackOntheFloor - I would have also liked the Bravia 7 in 50" size.
Could you please make a review of hisense 65 inch e7k pro
Unfortunately, we focus on the US market so we only buy products available for purchase in the US. Sorry about that.
Yeah like others have said i have no idea what's up with your set's viewing angles because i went to multiple best buys and the viewing angles on the Bravia 7 were miles better than the similarly scored viewing angles of the TCL QM7/8... what gives ?
Please review the Bravia 8 and Bravia 9 and please compare the Bravia 8/9 to the G4 and S95D.
We will be!
That’s great. I thought your review format and content is excellent. Succinct and I like the comparisons at the end for positioning. Keep up the great content.
Do the Bravia 9. That’s the one everyone is interested in
Vote for them to review it on their website then
We've just finished testing it and should have a review for it soon! 😄
No...OLED...or nothing you make me sick
@@drunkhusband6257 Cry about it
The minority is interested in the bravia 9, it's an overpriced mini led
The Sony 55 Inch X90L is $650 less than the BRAVIA 7 55 Inch. Is it worth dishing out the extra money for the BRAVIA 7?
We'll soon have reviews for both of those TVs, so hopefully we're able to help you out! 😄
Bravia 8 is a samsung qd oled. and i have 2 dead samsung s95b tvs. dont risk it or make sure you have good insurance
Having just rejected an LG C3 for banding and then panel failure after two weeks
i am still looking for a replacement and don't want another Oled.
I am in no rush and might wait to see how much better next years models will be
with the new Mediatek SoC.
Thanks for another great review Abby.
Thanks for watching! 😄
Are you going to do the bravia 8 as well?
Yes!
Who eatches tv from 45° angle? Is viewing angle really relevant for buying tv?
yeah, get the LG C4 and enjoy DSE and OLED burning in less than a year
or the Hisense with the color/white accuracy of a potato, and as reliable as a Chrysler
the B7 isn't perfect, but I'd rather have poor viewing angles at 30+ degrees, than the B9/X93/X95L with Sony's X-Wide angle coat that is easily removed with a wet fabric, staining the screen permanently
Shoot are u d guy who wipe off the grease stain n the tv now has smudge in the mid of screen ? What model is your tv ? Is it ruined now ?
@@Yoga_Tv_buying not me but there are a lot of people with that problem, in other brands too
Apart from viewing angles and reflections. X95L (£2250) or Bravia 7 (£2500)? I prioritize picture quality and OS performance

Another well put together review. 🤝
We need your review on the Bravia 7 as well. Time for some brutal honesty Q 👊
But the U8N isn't just as good in every area. That is where it comes down to user preference. I would imagine since a TV is primarily a picture/image medium. One would think the priority would be how it handles the content and look at it's best.
Sony has off looking technology. It has 🟦BLUE -- light coming from Back as BASE !! Mix with 🟥🟩at front to creat ◻️. Because the strong Base of Blue , everything is off looking pestle . 🟪🟨🟧🟫🟩🟥 all expressed funny . Their whites were always 🩵 now 👚tone .
2010-2012 Global LEDs were 💯 produced by - SHARP TV . SONY Bravia was Sharp Aquos with SONY logo .
Hisense bought Sharp in 2015 . It has pattern SONY can’t touch , so they have to go with the Blue light route. Where image has pestle visuals u can not calibrate out of it due to strong Blue base light . 💡
Samsung /Hisense has ⬜️coming from back , so mix with 🟥🟦🟩, it can produce d most vibrant Colors 🟨🟧🟩🟪🟫🟥. It’s more CLEAN 🧼 type of vibrancy . Not pestle Condense looking
I had the U8K and a software update killed it for me.
thing with viewing angles , is not one expects poor results anymore , so is a disappointment when you see it, may not affect your day to day though
Your problem is your setup, not the tv !
What did you get instead?
You state you have tested tv's with better processing. Name them.
Suggestion needed
This or x90l??
Sony only!

Can you compare Sony Bravia 7 vs LG G4 vs Samsung S90D/S95D?
We don't have any plans to make a video for it at this time, but you can always see our comparisons using our comparison tool: www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-bravia-7-qled-vs-samsung-s95d-oled/53322/49702?usage=1&threshold=0.10
why? You either want OLED or you don't. Compare OLED to OLED and compare LED to LED. LED blooms. OLED doesn't. OLED is better at gaming. OLED isn't as bright. Do you need a Bright TV? go LED...
awesome video!
Hard to believe what Sony is charging compared to OLED prices??
Very disappointing TV for the money especially when you compare it to the competition as shown at the end of the video. They still haven't fixed their lackluster gaming performance and features compared to TVs much cheaper too. I was excited for this TV but it's another disappointing set unless you exclusively watch movies. Cheaper brands are far better for gaming and at least on par for regular TV content.
How are other TVs better for gaming? If you pause the game, go look at the C4 and the A80K or the A95L vs the G4 and S95C.
@techsamurai11 no I own a Sony TV and no it isn't more detailed than LG since I also have an LG oled to compare to
do mini led have any sort of burn in? If not that's a pro versus an oled
for watching movies NO ONE cares about Burn-In, lil kid
@yup8474 - LED TVs generally don't suffer from burn-in.
Im satisfied with my 85 inch x80k after messing with the pictures settings. plus i only paid $1000 after taxes
Waiting for Bravia 9 review..
I gave a thumbs up for abby
Moving the eARC port off the HDMI 2.1 makes it worthless for a HDMI 2.1 receiver. Since it now no longer can output 120hz or VRR etc. So anyone with a good high end Receiver would be SOL. using a U8N. Not everyone uses a soundbar. This would be the reason why Sony don't move that port.
I'm pretty happy with my 2 month old X90L lol!
so it’s basically an x90l with a lot more full array zones. i like sony tvs, even have one myself. but its time to bring 144hz to the table.
For what? The difference between 4k120 and 4k144 is basically imperceptible and only relevant on rtx 4080 plus cards.
Do you game on a PC and use your tv as a monitor? If not, 144hz has no use.
He wouldn’t notice the difference even with
There's literally zero difference, it's just marketing and numbers, especially for casual gaming at TV because don't tell me you do competitive gaming on a 65 inch VA TV.
Is it truly worth spending the money to replace my 75 inch Sony 950H or should I wait until 2026
Great question, I want to know this
I would say wait until 2026 and get the second best Sony mini-led from 2025 on a discount.
Or just get the X95L this year at xmas or black friday, if any of them remain from last year.
Poor viewing angle and reflections are deal breaker for me. To me, its more important then color accuracy.
Love you.
Yes, this TV Does have a simi-gloss screen. I find that so weird that sony TV's input lag is not as good or better than the competition, since they do make PlayStation.
It’s Sated as Semi gloss . But in person it’s fine grain highly matted
Bravia 9 please..

Review Samsung Q70D
👀
A very RTINGS review, thanks! Seems like a solid mini-LED with all the Sony hallmarks BUT not the one to challenge OLEDs - that's U8N this year, if Hisense can manage to firmware-out the bugs and inaccuracies that is! Or perhaps Bravia 9 and its bl master-drive has something to say about that. 2024 has been pretty meh for OLEDs and I welcome this whole mini-LED resurgence!
The b7 has the same master drive system as the b9…
I think Sony is going to be unpleasantly surprised with it’s TV sales this year.
@Abubaker42 - Why do you think that?
You mad you can't afford a Sony?
@@furballbear IMO in terms of their offerings relative to their competitors they don’t have leverage to command these prices this year, additionally I think global inflation will make most consumers price conscious, I think the market is shifting towards the Chinese manufacturers TCL and Hisense (like what’s happened with Korean companies Samsung and LG before) and Sony is yet to pivot or offer vastly superior technology.
@@alananderson7903 Really!! whatever makes you happy my friend! my Sony A80J and AV receiver and home theatre sound system would bet to differ. However, don’t let me stop you from telling yourself what you need to here 👍🏽
@@furballbear the prices they are commanding in comparison to the features they are offering relative to their competitors is off.
A few years ago Sony was way ahead that lead is not prominent anymore the thing that Sony has still going for is its reputation and QC.
I think more consumers will gravitate to TCL and Hisense albeit perceived a lesser quality. The Chinese brands are in a similar position that the Korean (LG & Samsung) were years ago. I believe they will continue to grow in market share.

Exactly. When it's in the OLED price range, it simply makes no sense to buy this unless you're dripping money.
Brand loyalists will buy it uninformed
@@ByteSizedSociety Not if they've neither the room size or the money.
Vewing angles of this TV spoils the excitement about this TV....The SAMSUNG S90D OR QN85D is a way better alternative to this though...👍
It doesn’t spoil for no reason tho. I saw Bravia 7 last week at Best Buy ! Most underwhelming thing ! 😅
