Bravo to Channel 9 for showing the severely grim footage that American news outlets wouldn’t touch. Staring horrific reality in the face is necessary to fully grasp the gravity of what has happened.
I remember watching the news reports here in the U.K. and some of the British News Channels were showing the same kinds of footage; some of it was pretty graphic. I recall seeing the people falling and just staring in complete disbelief at the screen. Beyond horrific.
Yeah, even if that's because what was used back then is now outdated technology, and still way before everything, and everyone switched to both HD, and widescreen TV. The fact that virtually everybody was still using CRT TV's, VHS taps (just before DVD became the new go to format shortly afterwards for a bit of a while), along with dial up internet back then makes that time period seem all the more old, and obsolete these days now too! L.O.L.!

In high school, English class. They stopped all classes that day to watch it live in the library. After the buildings fell, we were released for the day. Instead of going home, many of us went straight to the recruiters' office. I wasn't in New York, nor did I personally know any of the victims or their families. The one thing I did know is that those were AMERICANS being forced to cut their lives short. This day had a profound effect on my life and completely shaped my future.
