- It's been tough lately.
If you follow me on Instagram (kryzzzie), you would have seen my real-time updates about these massive bites on my legs, belly, and arms that quickly turn into boils and blisters. They are incredibly itchy, painful, and unsightly. Some have been on my body for more than 3 weeks and the scab is still there. It’s been really difficult to sleep, move around the house and just be normal- tbh.
The reason for these bites? Fleas. I’m allergic to them. Skyskybear suddenly started getting them and they spread around our house! Since then, she’s been quarantined, treated, and our whole house has been and is still being treated as well. It’s gonna take about a month to rid these pesky little things completely, so I have to be patient and endure it for a while longer.
In the meantime, let me indulge in a little unboxing session for a bit of retail therapy. My orders from @furnishyourhomeph and BeautyMNL arrived and I was so excited to go through them. You know each item here is something I really thought about cause I have so much to say about them! 😄 I recently discovered that not only do they carry a lot of high-end to drugstore beauty products but they also have food options, baby stuff, and more. My husband is a vet he said that fleas are usually from cats. Stray cats get into houses that we dont even notice them. They may stay a day or two. But when they leave, fleas will get hungry so.. they get inside the house. wash the backyard and parking lot basta tanan sa gawas with soapy water and some baygon. Special cracks sa cement. They love heat but hate soap

Hindi po effective ang baygon.nagkaron kami halos lahat na ng spray nagamit na namin.sevin powder yung effective po

Sa stray cat ko din nakuha ung sakin. Worst tlga ung kati nya and scar nya after.
this is my life back in high school and early college life. it took me years to to figure out what was it, and there’s was no medication and creams to cure it to be honest. I met a dermatologist who told me that it’s an arthropod bite. the arthropod type of bug and insects family. they usually are harmless until you develop a sudden allergic reaction and it would just multiply because it stays in your blood- the reaction. so no mater what insect bites you it would become the same. my doctor gave me a simple medicine which was claritin for allergic reaction. it won’t heal it but it will stop the spread. and also- don’t scratch it. the scar or black dot take a long time to disappear. also, i hve skin asthma so i’m prone to these bites. makes sure you heal the reaction inside. and moving forward- always have clean sheets, stay away from cats , and bed bugs, dust mites.. Hope you read this.. i’m an expert on these bites! haha it’s depressing before!
The exact same thing happened to me when I was 9 months postpartum. I really hope the dermatologist did a punch biopsy! If not, please ask for a punch biopsy! And hopefully your city/hospital has a very good dermatopathologist (not all of them will see what they should see). I was diagnosed with LyP (Lymphomatoid Papulosis). I was misdiagnosed with bug bites, celiac rash first, to name a few. The bug bite diagnoses without the biopsy is super common!!! These lesions should heal on their own in 2 months but UVB light therapy and PUVA therapy would help (and one medicine called Methotrexate). Take care and please investigate this more!
If it keeps getting worst and very slow to heal than usual, do also have your sugar check.

I've experienced this in our province. My lola always boil a guava leaves in a pot and when its warmer i dip my foot on the warm water with guava leaves it will heal for time to time. Hope your boils will heal soon Kryz💕

Omg 🥺 that’s what exactly happened to Courageous Caitie, they thought it was just a flea bite and eventually the bites spread all over her legs until it reached her upper body. Only to find out, it’s a very rare blood disease. Hopefully it’s nothing serious 🙏🏻

We used to have several dogs during my younger years and I also had these boils because I would always play with them in our backyard. It does take time a bit of time for them to heal. I got rid of them with good old fashioned boiled guava leaves. Get well soon, Kryz! :)

Hi Kryz, had commented on ur IG last time. Looks like its definitely a flea bite, and you are allergic to it. Flea infestation in the house is common especially when you have a pet and no, it does not only stay on the floor... once your house becomes the nursery it actually targets your furniture next, then clothes until it finds its host. To get rid of it is quite a challenge but you have to take by heart. Power vacuuming helps, steam clean your furnitures, wash beddings and clothes with warm water then it's important to bug bomb the whole house. I sent a pic in IG of what effective bug bomb we use here in NZ...and i believe you will be able to order it and have ot delivered to you. The bites will take a lot of time to heal and yes the itching gets worse at night. Just continue to apply the topical ointment your doctor gave you... on a side note, lucas papaw is helpful too.. and teatree oil antiseptic is a great itch reliever 😉 hope this info helps... i know coz i actually experience the same thing. This doesn’t look like just a flea bite to me. Try to consider visiting your nephrologist or rheumatologist. And don’t cover the red spots, try to have sunlight and fresh air. They will usually disappear after a month or two. Godbless.

Im Agree, like sa akong shingles, I though it was just an ant bite pero nikatag na sa tibuok right part sa akong lawas and dali2 kog pacheck up ato kay dr. Bongo sa may banilad para masure kung sakto akong naresearch nga shingles jud, naconfirm ni doc nga shingles and giresitahan kog acyclovir, for just three days dili na nako mafeel ang sakit nga murag gidunggab akong nerves sa ilawm sa akong kaunuran. and in just two weeks nawala na ang mga pagpuwa and uwat.

It is fleas... she’s allergic to the bug bites. I went through it with my corgi. Like I said, the lemongrass spray works. Fleas thrive in grass as well. Shingles are different. Even Sky has been scratching!
Hi kryz!. I had experienced the same flea bites years back when I stayed in a place with some dogs.I had it on my feet,legs,buttocks up to my abdomen. It was so itchy especially on the lower legs,it felt like there was always something biting and dwelling inside.Even if you wore those long pants and socks still it can go inside.Do not scratch it,use raw calamansi.Cut it into half,apply it to those areas day and night few minutes before taking a bath,let it air dry for some time.But for me, I did apply it also after taking a bath,let it dry before I put on any mild lotions(avoid those with whitening ingredients and scents),baby lotions would be great.Apply at least every other day.I cannot explain how it worked but really it was amazing!I think the acidity removes those invisible stings(for me) at the same time it heals your skin.No traces or any scars seen after,your skin will look as if nothing happened.I used this calamansi ever since I was young and even used it till now to my nieces and nephews whenever they have skin problems(except big wounds of course).I hope it will also help you.God bless
I had the same experience in the past and so I have quite of a research about it. I usually apply warm compress to the area for 15 or 20 minutes and I do this 3 times a day, everyday. I've tried boiling guavva leaves and when it softens I pound it to get all the extract out of it. And then I put it on a clean cloth, soak it in a warm water and use it as a compress for 20 mins, tho I don't do it every single day. I only do this method 3-4 times in a week. I also use a little mixture of tea tree oil(5 drops)and a teaspoon of coconut oil. Then I put the diluted tea tree oil in a swab and apply it on the boil.
Hope you will get better na soon sobrang hirap labanan ng emotional stress kuha lang ng lakas kay sky and hubs mo. I know going through postpartum journey is not a walk in the park but soon everything will get better.
Hi have your furnitures checks esp made of woods and foams . .i think its bed bugs "surot" because it has 3 consecutive bites. I had the same thing.
Hi, Miss Kryzzie! Baka po bed bugs din po? I suggest you would also expose your matresses under direct sunlight for at least an hour. You can also spray some anti-bug spray sa sofa niyo. To lessen the itch po, I suggest mag-add na lang po kayo ng antihistamine taken every night, make sure your nails are short and use oatmeal bodywash and lotion to relieve the itch. Watch for your diet also, baka merong food na makakapalala ng itch so maybe a hypoallergenic diet. If after a week of compliance and wala pa pong relief within a week, a derma might consider other causes. Baka may add on tests na.
Don’t close your wounds. It’ll heal slower..

hi Kryzzzie, i think its a dust mites. you can get in your bed where they love to stay there due to sweat, mik or saliva or any fluids that stain the bed. Thats why even your body covered you still got the bites.Your body is react badly to it.My daughter used to get same thing shes allegic to any bites.( swollen ,blisters) like yours I gave her anti histamine and regular vacumming the bed and sun exposure of the sheets or pillows.Its so itchy that is, we used lidnocaine gel to apply the bite to minimise the itch. Hope this will help.but consult the specialist if needed.
Pls see a Rheumatologist not derma coz it might be an Immunity problem he can investigate what causing it. It is not a flea bite.

Pwede rin kitang ijudge na nagmamagaling dahil sa sinabi mo about ther term "atopic dermatitis" na pwede namang tawaging "eczema" in layman's term but I'm choosing not to judge you. I think from here you get my point right? That what she said was only an opinion just as how you gave yours.
Problema kasi sa ibang Pilipino, sinasabing nagmamagaling ang kapwa pero nagbibigay rin naman ng "opinion" na nagiinvalidate sa sinabi ng kapwa niya.

Pulgas or Fleas are transmitted usually to cats. Its hurts more to bite. Do not scratch because it might become "Kurikong". Please apply calamine lotion for itching.
Please try the guava leaves with hot water. It is really effective!
Don't cover it Kryz, let it out so it will dry up fast..it multiplied because of the fluid from the old ones and because of sweat. I had that few years ago, in my legs also..at night I washed it with soap ( safeguard ) and warm water ( with guava leaves ) then pat it dry with a clean towel, a week after, nag dry na ang wounds and slowly healed.
Had the same experience when I lied down my dog's bed it started from my neck, then down to my back and belly. Consulted with a doctor and had my blood checked if it's an allergy turns out they were dust mites. So the doctor prescribed 2 types of meds. An ointment that i apply to it 2x a day for 2 weeks straight, it's got steroids and my dosage was good for a baby since my skin daw is manipis, then a tablet that I also take along with the ointment. The tablet helped with the itchiness while the ointment helped me not to get scars. Also, I didn't cover up my wounds because they said it would heal slower. Hope you'll get well soon!

basi kailangan nka mag prednisone ms kryzz para dli kaayo mag over react imong immune system sa allergen sa pulgas. iask sa derma kung pwede. you might consider spraying pesticide sa skypod para ma wipe out ang pulgas. need gyud mo muhawa dha temporarily while gina treat ang balay.

Yea it’s super effective. I usually use it for dried skin on the heels of my foot and as lip balm and it keeps them from drying. I keep forgetting that it’s mainly used for rashes / scratches and the like. ☺️

I had the same thing. Ligo kog guava leaves. Apply kog Elica lotion. Take kog Anti histamine. Apply pud Tea tree oil ug lavender. Ug di sa moduol sa dogs ug cats. Mogara basta ting ulan padung ting init. Medyas kanunay.
One time our neighbor's dog died, aftr a few days we noticed Small black dots on our wall inside and outside our house. We found out that they were fleas and what we did was mix an anti flea shampoo for dogs with water, and we sprayed that all over our house, scrub every inch and that's how we got rid of them. I'm not sure bout the ratio but i think, it was 1 cup of shampoo and 1 small bucket of water.

It could be a scabies, consult your dermatologist right away. That’s highly infectious.
Hi Kryz, I have suffered the same bite as yours over years. The latest was a month ago. It's definitely a flee bite. I put a glass of luke warm water to the itchy portion until it gets better. Sulfur soap really helps. But I refrain from wearing close clothes to Iet my bites breathe. I hope you will fell better soon!❤
It's probably not from a direct contact but also from a reaction from the immune system. Always make sure to wear loose clothing and do not manipulate the bites! Let it heal as is. I'm sure it's frustrating, but it'll take time. Praying for your recovery!
I admire you for holding it well (even just for the vlog). Showing them blisters and boils for sure required a lot of courage. It must be emotionally exhausting for you too. I remember last year when I only got one bite on my side. I was really busy and did not mind coz it was just a bite, I thought it would heal. The next thing I know it had gone worse. I was rushed to the hospital, and had to take two shots of anti tetanus. I remember my self crying while I was cleaning my self, thank God my really bad wound healed immediately after medication. Don't cover it with socks, just let it dry in a natural way since you don't leave your house..then wash it with boil guava leaves..make sure it's warm before you pour it, and don't use soap..the guava leaves has its own herbal medicine then you'll notice it will dry and heal..hope it helps you
Hi Kryz, I'm a fan here and I've been watching your vlogs. Just want to suggest and maybe you won't believe this but try to put on "lana" pure coconut oil for those new bites. I've experienced flea bites before and it was all over my legs and was very itchy esp at night, but when I put on the "lana" the nxt morning it was gone. My friend recently had that experienced too. It won't even leave any red marks and nasty scars. I got mine from Simala and it was also blessed. I hope it will work for you too. God blless you and your family always❤️
thank you for uploading this, dealing with allergies is so frustrating and will really drive you crazy and it's comforting to see that other people struggle with it too. aaa people who don't deal with allergies have no idea how lucky they are!! hope those fleas go away soon so that you can heal and feel at ease again

We get the same reaction from flea bites. That bite scars for a long time! Mine takes more than 6 months before it blurs or disappears from my skin.
Hi miss kryz. Nagka boils din yung anak ko dati.Andami na naming nilagay na gamot,mga nireseta din ng doctor pero dumadami lang talaga. Nag stop lang yung pagdami at nag heal agad nung hinuhugasan na namin twice a day ng nilagang dahon ng bayabas.
I remember my sister, she also had these kind of skin issues when she was 8 months pregnant with her 2nd son. Mothers' immunity can go haywire as your body's nutrients will go to the baby especially that you're breastfeeding. You should consult a nutritionist and for the meantime should avoid pineapple, lemons, oranges and sugary food. These will exacerbate skin itchiness. You should eat plenty of green vegetables and lots of pro-biotic food, not anti-biotic. Take care and I hope this helps. :D
I hope you’re getting better now. I know how you feel about the itchiness and the red spots caused by the insect bites, I’ve experienced same as that and it took me a month to be totally healed. Get well. ❤️
Momma kryzzie i wanna hug you, i know what you feel. I also experienced that last feb-mar2019 because of our cat. It really feels bad, i also can't sleep, i cried, so irritating. What made me feel more bad is that, in our house my family thinks that i'm just maarte, because we are 6 in the family and i'm the only one attacked by the fleas and so frustrating that i don't understand why it's happening to me.
I searched how to treat myself. After a month i transferred to a boarding house because of transfer of workplace and then it gets better. Maybe the fleas didn't smell me anymore so they decide to evacuate haha kidding it gets better after a month then i then deal with the scars. Hopefully it will not happen to me again. Things will be fine momma kryzzie. I watched sir Slater's vlog that you and scott already stayed on your parents house.
Hi Ms kryz, asidd from vacuum cleaning, try using essential oils such as lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, lemon, cedarwood, citronella, garlic which have strong odors that can work as a repellant. You may diffuse it in your home for cleaning or mix in a few drops when you take a bath or or simply apply lotion with any of these essential oils in them.
If you are in need of essential oils, I have a Young Living premium starter kit onhand that contains lavender, peppermint, lemon and thieves already.

Hello Mam Khryz! i think kagat ng surot yan.. same thing happened sa amin ni hubby..i feel you nakakabaliw kakaisip kung ano at everyday laging may bagong kagat..habang tumatagal kumakati at umiinit ung kagat ...so a friend advice na magpaspray kmi ng pesticide like pest control sa buong bahay and quarantine mga 1 month. lahat ng damit/blanket and all nilagay sa garbage bag with pesticide para isealed then nilabhan...then tinapon namin ung bed..after a month surot free na house namin...praying for healing!!take care.

Hi Kryzzie I could very well relate as I’ve been bitten by fleas from my pet cats for years and its seasonal, our cats were able to get out of the house so they probably get it from stray cats. Like you too even if I would wear jogging pants with socks they would still be able to get into my legs and waist and bite me. The way to stop it is to cure your dog of fleas first even if the dog is staying outside, I suggest “frontline plus” for dogs and there are many other local brands of same effect already, it works like a charm and suddenly the flea bites would be gone. Hope it works for you!

I think there’s such a thing as “flea season”. Please don’t pop or squeeze the dog fleas or pulgas (as we call it here in Manila), it will just crush out the eggs and produce more. You can use water with dish soap to kill them. Get well soon, Kryz!

Hi Kryz! I went through the same thingg...my doctor advised like a salt bath? You wash the wounds with lukewarm water and salt, it hurts a bit though and is quite uncomfortable😕 (on the plus side they're not so inflamed the day after) Hope you guys solve the problem soon❣
Ms. Kryzz try taking a bath of Dahon ng bayabas, that was my last resolve and that’s the only thing that helped me with my bruises. I insisted on using modern medicine but when I tried it, it worked besides the medications that I got.
It's okay Ms. Mel as long as the skin can breathe. It's also to avoid infections 💕
Naexperience ko din po yan before Ms. Kryzzie ang hirap talaga sobrang kati because i have sensitive skin..I used many kinds of ointment too, but one thing na nakapag heal po totally is when we go to beach nababad sa tubig alat and a few days later it gets dry and slowly nagheal lahat. You might consider if you have done it yet.. Godbless po 😇
Hi Ms. Kryz, pls see an specialist na po.. An allergologist then if hindi allergy, para marefer ka niya sa another doctor and do some diagnostic tests.. Kase nakafull gear ka na still meron pa din, baka hindi lang dahil sa fleas.. Get well soon..

My gosh, I remember when I was feasted on by bed bugs on a 2 week trip in Dubai. Uso dadto ang bed bugs and I suffered bites on my legs and stomach mostly. Very similar sila sa fleas I think. From what I researched, they stick EVERYWHERE, your clothes even the walls. I laundered my clothes every 2 days and sprayed the bed before I slept but naa gyapon. I dreaded falling asleep as well.
I feel you have to leave your house for a week and have it professionally treated. Since you get bites even if you are covered up, stop wearing socks/long clothes nalang and allow the wounds to breathe and heal faster. Might check all your clothes in the closet kay basin na balayan sa mga animal. I think you have to launder every stitch of clothing in the house in very hot water.
When I came back from Dubai, even before going inside my apartment, I sprayed my luggage with baygon (while I was in the hallway pa; bought the baygon from the store beside my apartment) and stuffed my clothes inside plastic bags and have all of it professionally washed in very hot water insigida (I instructed the laundry shop about my problem). Thankfully, my OC-ness worked and I didnt bring any bed bugs into my apartment. I hope this issue will resolve soon. I am so sorry this is happening to you.

I actually experienced the same, only not so intense like that. What I did was I used SULFUR SOAP, CETAPHIL ANTIBACTERIAL bar soap and CETAPHIL DERMA bath soap (so expensive 😩) for the itch. Then when all the wounds heal, use any exfoliating lotion for faster removal of scars. We also bought a vacuum immediately and cleaned everything everyday. It really is so frustrating especially when my wedding is so near! Traumatizing even. Hoping for @kryzzzie's fast healing 🙏🏻❤️

I feel you! Happened to me 3 wks ago, can't sleep at night and praning ako sa lahat ng black dot at gumagalaw na maliit even minsan dumi or alikabok lang praning na ko. Steam everything. All your clothes and bedsheet etc. put boiling water on it (my mom did it)

PS. I know some will say super linis ng SKYPOD pano magkakasurot. But nagkakaroon ng bedbugs or surot ang house dahil may carrier, possible things or tao na pumunta sa house niyo. Been so praning dahil sobrang linis ng mom ko sa bahay kaya did a lot of research once I discovered na may bedbugs sa house. But thank God na almost a week na okay na ako. We really cleaned the house throw lots of stuff, spray bygon and natura for bedbugs, steam every corner of the room, cure and put varnis to all narra chairs, boils lot of water and put all our clothes, bed and bedsheet on it. Also use white bedsheet and pillow case so you can easily spot if there's an insect.
Not sure if this is the right diagnosis but it’s looks something like MRSA bedbug bite, or an allergic reaction to those bites. Not everyone’s allergic to bites.
MRSA i believe. If it’s just a simple boil then it should be clearing up in a week or two and doesn’t spread that fast. It happened to a friend of mine. They did a swab test and really was MRSA...
Try checking your closet, sofas and bedsheets.. Wash all your clothes and iron them super well... I experience that kind of reaction also but from my rescued dog that have galis.. Or it could also mean other bugs.. One is bed bug, or dust mites..dont stress too much.. Stress also affects skin..

Hala..it might help..you might want to try VMV boo boo balm..to soothe the redness and the itch. I use it for my baby pag may kagat sya ng hindi ko alam kase ayaw ko as much as possible ng steriods..nakakatanggal din sya ng peklat(redness and magiging brown pag magaling na tapos my mark).i hope makatulong. it is a multi use balm but i swear it soo good lalo na sa skin ng baby and sa mga sensitive skin.
Had that too, and my dermatologist gave me this Daktacort which is really effective. It's gonna dry up like 3 days application. You should try it.

Aww.. I hope you feel better. Continue with your cold compressions. Only tap your skin never scratch it no matter what. There is a soap called hibiclens which is an antibacterial , use it together with an antibacterial ointment and they work wonders with this kind of body lesions. I feel you Kryz. Just a month ago my hair started falling out and from someone who used to have thick hair it drove me crazy. Everytime I take a bath the shower drain would be so full of my hair, even just combing and finger-combing it more hair would fall out. And just last week, I noticed a bald spot at the back of my head. It really took a toll on my self-esteem but thankfully I'm getting the help that I need. @@abegailarca7679 Hi! So right now I'm taking multivitamins with iron as well as folic acid which helps promote hair growth. I read somewhere that biotin helps as well so you may want to try that one. I'm also using castor oil with extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil so what i do is mix equal parts EVOO and coconut oil and a splash of castor oil. I massage it all over my scalp and hair 30 minutes before taking a bath. I've only done this once so I'm not sure about it yet but I also know for a fact that castor oil promotes hair growth. I also use an antihairfall shampoo and conditioner (zenutrients gugo shampoo & conditioner). I've only been using this for 3 days but I already noticed some differences like I don't shed as much in the shower as before. I still do but not as much :). It smells really good too and doesn't leave your hair feeling sticky/oily after washing. So I highly recommend that. Lastly I use Minoxidil, it's a common treatment for people who suffer from pattern baldness/alopecia. It's a spray-on medication where you target the area you want to grow hair in. It's available on watsons but I found cheaper alternatives on shoppee. I've also been using this just recently so I'm not sure if it works. Though I've read somewhere that it takes a while for hair to grow on the bald spot. I'm just trying to be patient hehe. I've noticed new baby hairs on my hairline and nape it doesn't look like damaged hair to me cause it's not brittle and doesn't have split ends so I'm hoping it's the new hair growing. Do you have cats? Its actually came from them, bihira sa dogs.
We use Havolate from the dermatologist prescription and sunflower oil, mangingitim yan after gumaling or mag dry.
We also use rose hip oil to lighten the dark spot na maiiwan.

I think the fleas were brought by strong winds because lately it is pretty windy. The fact that Sky is an indoor dog so mostly likely he may got it from the yard or anywhere that is grassy if ever the dog is let out.
I think aside from the inside of skypod it should be best if the yard or grassy areas of the house, the pool area would be cleaned because there might be flea eggs scattered from there too.
This is just a theory of mine but I do hope not only the inside of skypod but also the pool area or your yard or any grassy areas of your house will be cleaned just for prevention. Hope it helps.
I hope it’s just a simple allergic reaction from flea bites just like how sensitive your skin is towards ant bites, but it won’t harm to consult a Nephrologist/Immunologist too aside from a Dermatologist. It's okey Kryz, hindi ka maarte. Experienced that as well and really nakakapraning, nakakasira ng tulog, ang kahit anong gawin mo makati pa rin. The culprit was the dog nga pumupunta lang samen becoz we feed her. The thing i do, suot ng medyas hanggang knee and i can really see those tiny fleas nahirap hulihin, kasi tumatalon hahaha! The solution.. we get rid of our neighbor's dog by not letting him go in. Then super linis!

I had boils before... it needs air to heal. Heat wont heal it. Boiled guava leaves also will help a lot. They also said that when you have boils and it's makati and you have to scratch or touch the affected area, dont touch the areas that are not affected coz magiging infected na din sya.. hope you get better soon.
Have it check by your gp.Might not be parasites but other thing coz u are having cold sweats.Have some blood tests as well.

Im diabetic and I easily get something like what you have now from konting kati lng and the moment I scratch my skin grabe and sadly matgal mgheal ang wounds for diabetics and they scar. Hope you get well soon and sana those won’t badly scar eventually. Also try washing them with boiled neem tree leaves, proven kong nakaktulong yan I hope it’ll work for u too.
