    Is the puddle floor lights standard on the base 35 model?

    Enjoying your videos on this car, I test drove it yesterday & ordered it. I was worried about the possibility of motion sickness but as you say it’s very similar to driving a non EV in a way I wasn’t expecting. I was pleasantly surprised. Saying goodbye to my well loved X1 for this i4 & I’m actually really looking forward to getting it! Think it’ll be the end of this year when I get it in the UK.

      Thanks for your feedback. I can see an excitement on getting your new i4. Yes, I was quite pleasantly surprised how smooth this i4 feels as EV. Maybe the smoothest EV I have ever driven where you don't feel any motion sickness. Enjoy your new i4. Hoping to bring more BMWs on the channel, upcoming i5, i7 etc..

      I also was surprised. My ICE car makes my son and wife sick. My son had to sit at the front due to that. In i4 he sits behind, I accelerate, make turns,...0 sickness

    Did your car have adaptive headlights? I have a 23 430 xdrive GC and it doesn't have cornering lights & turning onto dimly lit roads I've found to be problematic. The I4s are basically 4 serices with a motor. I think listening to Zimmer for a few hundred kilometers would drive me instane. That would be one of the 1st things I shut off

    • @100miledrive
      @100miledrive  Рік тому

      Mine, I believe didn't have adaptive headlights. That sounds like should be a standard option. Zimmer's sound is only heard when you accelerate fast. You can hear it in Comfort and Sport modes, in Eco Pro mode it's completely turned off. But not sure how much I would like it if I owned an i4 or IX

      @@100miledrive Yeah, that was one of BMW's unannounced omissions I never thought to check if something was omitted from previous mondels. I didm't fnd out I didn't have cornering light until after the car was in my name. I was not too happy when I turned down my 1st dimly lit street. I couldn't see anything as I was turning

      @@craighermle7727 maybe using auto high/low beams would help, if no cars in front of you it would switch to high beams.

      no ...That happens automatically. Most cars have some version of it. My 2003 x3 had. It I had test-driven it at night, which I didn't. I wouldn't have purchased the car.

    How many gb ram was attributed to that carplay that makes it drag and takes forever to load up an app? That’s below par from BMW

    • @100miledrive
      @100miledrive  9 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, sometimes these things get glitchy. In My X3 M40i Carplay works almost flawlesly. In my 10 months ownership had issues only twice. Last time had to reset IDrive system to fix it, after that never had an issue again.

    Is the car really silent? I want to get an electric car but I'm worried the noiseless atmosphere from the engine missing will cause car sickness. I hope the fake engine sounds make it okay.

      I would highly recommend to rent this i4 or any other electric car you are curious about before buying one. When you spend a day with it you will come to conclusion how it would fit your life and whether it will work for you or not. I don't feel bothered with electric cars not having a real sound, it is compensated by the EVs ability to accelerate super quickly and making that electric sound, well i4 added fake sound through the speakers. Also more than the sound you want to ensure you don't get motion sickness and range anxiety. Those are the common problems usually people have transitioning to EVs. I know many who were OK on the test drive but absolutely hated it after they took the car home. Also i4 is the 2nd car after Fiat 500e which drives more like a gasoline car than EV. They made it super smooth with no motion sickness.

    • @KDR816

      This car has 0 sickness factor. I have 5yo son who is sickness prone, in i4 he has 0 sickness. On the ICE car he had to sit at the front.
