- So... BMW thinks they can wipe-out Tesla ay? Well, the all-new 2022 BMW i4 might just be able to!
Today we take a look at BMW's answer to the Tesla Model 3, the BMW i4 edrive40. This thing pumps out a huge amount of power straight to the rear wheels, with a luxury cabin to boot. But is it worth it's luxury car price tag? Let's talk about that!

I just received my i4 last week and this thing is a beast. I commute 100 miles a day 3-4 times a week and I gotta say the car's range has been spot on. The interior quality is head and shoulders above any other vehicles on the 40 to 60k price range.
Sport mode is extremely fun and somehow this car makes me itch to hit the road as much as possible.

I ordered a new M240i for delivery by the end of the year and since no youtube review has shown that car with the iDrive 8 yet, this also serves as a good preview of what that new updated interior will look like.

Got myself this car with the same dravid grey. Unfortunately it doesn’t come with the side panel M badges. Would love it though.

2:35 I can only imagine they call it a Gran Coupe because it really is 2+2 seating despite the addition of some back doors and a seat belt in the middle. They say it seats 5, but it seats 3 comfortably if the fellow in back straddles the driveline tunnel for legroom.

Another fun and informative review Matt. Would you take this over a G80 M3 though? They are not vastly different money.
M3 every day and night, but at least 30k difference to be fair!
@@CarSauce Yes, I got that price very wrong - silly me...duh!! I just don't like the new grille so I won't be trading in against a G80, I will stick with my F80 M3 Competition and my i30N manual which are both great fun cars.
Wokeby has an aftermarket frunk for quite cheap (for iX3, i4 is under development)

Mine has driver side lumbar adjustment.
Inflatable side bolsters are great for holding you in place! But more so rear lumbar for your lower back is missing ☹️
@@CarSauce mine has both on the driver side…. the passenger side was deleted though… i’m in the US just picked up my 2022 last week.

For the price, will wait when they ACTUALLY have a Sedan with EV platform and bigger rear seats..
Good news, they did bring out the full-sized sedan.
Bad news, it has _that_ grille...
I'd option out the blue and save money by buying a Hyundai hybrid.
I got the i4 with the Shadowline package. Replaces the blue and bright metal trim with dark grey. Only blue left on the car is on the roundels and the start button.
0/10 require $15 a month for heated seats. Every bmw past E39/E46 went downhill
Yeah not my favourite model for sure
thee is no subscription for heated seats... unless it's an Australia only option. it's a flat fee like always.
Waiting and waiting. BMW is hopeless.
