Thanks to RS Symons for lending us the Model 3: @RSEV
Is the new BMW i4 better than the Tesla Model 3? Well, we’re here to find out!
We all know that Tesla is easily the market leader when it comes to EVs, so Mat’s going to put these two cars through their paces to see which is the must-have everyday EV of 2022.
Starting with the stats, we’ve got our hands on the range-topping i4 M50, which comes equipped with two electric motors to deliver 540hp. It’s also packing an 81kWh battery pack, and looking at recent performance, it’s good for a real-world range of 186 miles.
Next up we have the range-topping Tesla Model 3 Performance. It’s also equipped with two electric motors, but it's down on power compared to the BMW, delivering 480hp. It comes packing a smaller 77kWh battery pack, too, but its real-world range is much more impressive - 265 miles!
Once you step inside, both these cars come with equally impressive interiors. As with any Tesla, it’s a super minimal interior dominated with a massive infotainment screen on the dash. The BMW also comes equipped with a big screen, although it’s nowhere near what you'll find hogging the dash in the Tesla!
So what do you think - is the i4 the must-have EV? Or would you still pick the Tesla? There’s only one way to find out for sure - stick with Mat for this all-new head-to-head!

Thanks Matt for pointing out the cost of the extra equipment in the BMW. This is a huge deal when comparing these cars.
They shouldn’t be really compared, you buy a BMW because you want a BMW not because it’s cheaper or more convenient.
Please do a BMW iX50 vs Tesla X… Thank you CarWOW!!!!
The new Model X isn’t available in the UK yet so he’d have to compare the previous gen X to the iX

For real, Carwow is nothing without Matt
I start with $2,500 at December 27 and I'm almost at $21k now! all thanks to Sonia
The reason you're getting so much slip in the m50 is because it's cold out and you have the high performance wheel package on the car... aka high performance summer tires. They effectively turn to plastic in cold weather. I imagine that would also have a nasty impact on handling as well. If you wanted to get better traction in colder weather, namely during your 0-60 run, you'd need an all season or winter tire with a tire compound that stays softer in colder temps.
The Tesla also ran on summer tires, they just have a more sophisticated traction control system utilising the benefits of how you can control the torque so much better with an electric motor.
Sounds like excuses for the slower car.
@@TheDanishSpaceman I doubt it
@@hittman1412 it's not though, plenty of real world tests where it shows that it's faster.
@@hittman1412is that why in the drag race the model 3 lost to the bmw 😂😂
BMW voice command is always initiated with “ Hey BMW” Matt.
We own 3 late model Bimmers , and this voice command has been flawless. i 40 M50 coming to us this summer
Which means that the car is always listening to you, for whatever privacy risk that may be.
“Hello BMW” is not activated by default. You can talk to the intelligent personal assistant by using the voice command button on the steering wheel. I agree that the voice commands are nearly flawless in the latest generation Bimmers.
Not sure it's reasonable to guage the BMW range from the figures on the dash at only 2k miles as, let's face it, everyone will have been spanking the M50 for every mile it's done so far.
And the Model 3 performance? Surely it's been spanked as well. It is the faster car here!
Yeah carwows range comparison are absolutely idiotic, instant dislike from that part.

@@mkkm945 You forget 1 huge problem. Tesla has been driven all seasons, BMW only in winter and for some joy rides. Not many regular boring drives yet. As I mention in my other comment.... 270 miles is achievable. Probably more in warmer temperatures.
@@mkkm945 the i4 is a press car, the Model 3 belongs to & is used by Richard Symons. They have not been driven in the same manner.
Love that Mat is driving around in Track mode 😂
Correction, you can change the amount of regenerative braking. Also pro tip, regarding hands on the steering wheel detection, I blip the volume rocker up and down one tick rather than jerking the steering wheel back-and-forth. I found this way better. I have owned the model three performance for a couple of years and just love it. Tight handling on twisty roads combined with 0 to 60 of 3.1 seconds make it a fantastic car to drive. Agree with all the other pros and cons of this review.

Best comparison I’ve ever seen! Awesome job guys! You really know your Tesla stuff btw 👏🏼
BMW i4 also has a built in dashcam and remote 360 pictures from the app...
So do teslas
@@M.Audu435 yes but it was only mentioned in the case of the Tesla.
But then it wouldn’t be for Tesla’s favor
It looks so manipulated
The BMW mobile app is terrible.
Because they are not standard for i4
Basically i4 is the worst Bimmer ever made.
Internal combustion bimmers were brilliant but nowadays they are awful.
Do the miles per charge / mpg on these press cars actually mean anything? Part of the job is to be driving spiritedly and to test performance so that will naturally eat into efficiency, not really the same as a normal driver IMO.
Yeah fart sounds doesnt bring true car value lol
One's a press car that's had the shit beat out of it for 1500 miles and those 20s already have a huge efficiency penalty. I'm not sure what we were susposed to gleem from that comparison.
Whatever range the manufacturer claims, minus about 200 miles from it. That's your real-world range.
Totally agree, the BMW M-Series seems to be a press car but the Tesla Model 3 belongs to a company with experienced EV users. I am more impressed that the differnce is not that big considering the BMW is a sports car.
Regardless of how far each car can actually go on a single charge once you go beyond that range the Tesla is the car to have, hands down, no contest.
Ionity might be a joint charging network with BMW, VAG, Ford, Mercedes, Hyundai but they only have 15 locations in the UK. Along the west coast M1/M6 corridor there isn't a charger between Milton Keynes and Gretna Green making London to the Lake District and back impossible using only the Ionity network.
The number of times Matt shades the BMW for sharing it's platform is hilarious 😂😂
Because it’s stupid
Who r they sharing with

@@ericwright8592 yeah but that’s because it looks nice. Electric cars look bad compared to gas cars so glad they made an electric look like a gas car. The Tesla in the video looks awful compared to the bmw.
Drag race a non modified tesla model 3 performance vs BMW i450
Modifying m3p is how you slow it down.
Great video as always.
These cars were stock, the most efficient mod for a performance model 3 is putting 18" wheels that are forged or magnesium for less weight which should get you 0.1s better acceleration (plus 20-30 miles more range), otherwise the only other mod is gutting the thing for weight savings but thats not practical.
@@Malinkadink he’s talking about the other video where they dragged raced a model 3 performance that had a third party front end and bumper added to it.
Yep the model 3 performance is way faster than the bmw in the quarter when it's not modified to be slower...
The suspension set up in the Model 3 Performance is quite poor, didn't realised it until I was rear passenger in one. Normally when driving in the driver's seat it's already a bit underdamped with far too stiff anti roll bars to try to mitigate the bodyroll, which is the wrong way as stiffer dampers would simply solve that without resorting to using stiff anti rollbars. This issue really exacerbates itself when I was sitting in the back feeling car sick, cause the dampers can't keep up with the fast steering ratio.
The test based the range efficiency only on the miles covered so far by each car. Problem is we don't know how each car was driven, i.e. hard acceleration, motorway driving etc and over what distances. The fair way to compare their ranges is to drive the two cars over the same distance, route and conditions.
The owner of the same i4 and Model 3 made a video about the i4 a couple of days ago. And he mentioned that the range was perhaps bad because it was very cold and they were driving pretty quickly. He expects the consumption will lower a lot over the oncoming days and weeks.
Valid points. But the mileage will be far worse as it's simply physics. More weight, more drag, less efficient build.
@@Maarten_vd not really. Watch the I4 M50 review of Autogefühl. he estimates 270 miles. not 180. This CarWow video was filmed after the drag race video as he admitted. So the 186 mile range figure is simply not true.
@@CyAn-S I am not saying the 180 estimate is correct did I? I am saying this is just simple physics (not my opinion, just facts) the BMW has more weight, less efficient build and higher drag.. What more is there to know? The range will be far worse than the benchmark (TM3). Further discussions are pointless. Just wait for the head to head comparisons of the real world range... And then wait for the head to head comparisons on the race track. The extra 400KG will cause it to melt down.
@@CyAn-S both cars have been drag-raced so where is the difference in conditions?
For me personally the biggest issue I have with the Tesla is the lack of a display in front of you, other than that it has a lot going for it. Surprised by the acceleration times of the i4 since in previous tests it proved to be quicker than the Model 3 and even in your hands posted a 3.62s, maybe on that day it just struggled for traction off the line.
I feel the same... but here is the thing... you aren't supposed to have your eyes glued to a screen in front of you. You are supposed to watch the road. It's a really tough decision in terms of user interface. The solutions that look cool are not safe and the safe solutions don't look cool. The only thing that Tesla messed up big time IMHO is the speed indicator. That should have been right in the center of the driver's visual range. That's the only information the driver needs constantly, unless we let "autopilot" chose the speed for us.
@@lepidoptera9337 ideal the head-up display like what the BMW comes with it the absolute best solution. It's also odd that Matt felt the i4 had the sharper throttle response but over on the RSEV he felt it was the reverse, I think with anything it's all up to personal taste so if considering any of them you make your own mind up which is best.
Don’t worry, the Tesla will tell you if you’re speeding. The minimal interior design is intentional so the driver focuses on the driving, not the distractions
@@lepidoptera9337 the speed indicator is why you often look at the screen.
Obviously a HUD could solve it, but that’s something only competent manufacturers have,
Also on my a class I have all the information, including the navigation and music on my drivers display and can control everything important from the steering wheel. I never have to look to the side while driving.
Great for long distance drives. And sometimes the Tesla fails at completely
@@hittman1412 no, it’s literally just to save money. Don’t swallow the marketing crap.
Also I‘d rather know my exact speed and drive 1-2 km/h over the displayed speed limit than constantly having to hear an annoying beeping sound when I go faster than the displayed speed
Carwow is the only channel which acknowledges how good the voice commands in the car are.
1:22 the mercedes eqs and eqe have proved to us that cars need a big bonnet to look good
Yep, but I think in the end efficiency will succeed. Merc went the 0 compromises way of things. Also think EQE looks a lot better than EQS for some reason I can´t see.
The issue with EQS/EQE is not the length of the hood, it's the shape.
Great seeing the seating comparison with the guys...COVID really took a lot of nice things from us.

excited to see more comparisons of the M50 when its warmer. Brock over at Dragtimes already did a 0-60 of 3.39 (3.1 seconds with a 1ft roll-out) on his first past during a small quick drive on a rather chili street surface. Looking forward to 75*F + degree day reviews.
The tesla can do that time even in cold weather becuse of its great awd and traction control system so it will only be faster in the summer.
@@felixarkang5414 yeah I agree the bmw has some impressive performance
@@felixarkang5414 What's great about the AWD system?
@@felixarkang5414 No, its just the BMW has so much more torque and bigger horses, and more weight, making wet launches a huge disadvantage. See how fast the cars are moving at 1000ft. The Tesla is slaughtered. It's like the guy in the Model 3P beating a Demon 0-60, and thinking his car is more powerful.
@@hotrod182 Haha thats good. A demon was purposly build for the quartermile race where the Tesla was build for efficiency.. This is also the only reason American 'muscle" cars are a big fail in the EU (we do like Tesla). Just big engines while the car is totally not in balance. Just look at the newest 911 turbo... It destroys all its "more powerfull" competitors on the track. If you understand how to build a proper car, weight is on the top of your list. These big american muscle cars are just build to appeal to the average American. They want to see BIG, BIG wheels, BIG engine, BIG sound and emmissions. Its just idiocracy.
So yes, A demon build for a 0-60 getting owned by an efficient EV is the laugh of the century. Imaging being the demon owner......

Love the practicality bits being back!
22:54 you can see the car is in “Track Mode”. Track Mode actually cools the battery and significantly decreases straight line acceleration. The Tesla Model 3 should do 0-60 mph in 3.28 seconds if you just leave it in Sport mode and precondition the battery.
Even then the drag raced showed the i4 is faster in every way except the beginning 0-60. I4s time was also way off. It averages 3.4

Does the HUD direction/navigation work when using CarPlay? This is the reason why I won’t update my 2016 I drive to the latest version as I won’t use CarPlay because I prefer to have the HID with my directions.
Mat in other ev videos: INSTANT TORQUE!!!
Mat when comparing i4 to model3: Yeah thats too instant
I have a LR AWD model and tested the Performance. The performance is already too brutal for me, so if the BMW is more brutal, I understand.
For some markets of BMWs, the i4 accepts voice commands for climate control. "Hey BMW, set temperature to 18 Celsius." I assume he lives in England. No car is perfect. Both are great. Good to have alternative choices. I wish the Model 3 were a hatchback sedan though. I cancelled my order due to that. I had an used Model S for a while. It gets boring and annoying that you have to going through screens to just control the speed of windshield wipers. That is really backward. A software based company really has a lot to learn from other veteran car manufacturers since it is 50% hardware and 50% software. So both companies have to learn from each other and make better cars for us - the consumers - in the future. For now, I pass the Model 3. It lacks good easy controls for many functions. Controls that we use daily should be a one-touch process only, but using the central screen of the Model 3 means also taking eyes off from the road and many finger prints. Meanwhile, BMW needs to make its space more efficiently designed so that there is a more usable frunk and no central tunnel sticking up in the middle of the second row seats. For luxury and quality, BMW wins hands down. Both car appeal to people of different needs. I can imagine someone like me who is more hatchback inclined would love to buy the i4. However, to someone that don't need easy access to trunk such as my coworkers who don't even open they trunk in a month, those people probably don't care if it is a hatchback or not. Choices are great. Make more great cars for us - the consumers - please. Thank you.
I see your point with the controls. The new UI in my Model 3 has it right though. Everything is where you need it. Having a China made Model, the Quality has gotten to the point where it is awesome. Of course the BMW still has a small leg up on this, but that in no way justifies the much higher price.
I will likely get the i4 as a company car, so I will see where both stand.
You can control the steering wheel and mirrors on voice command too
Well I already like that you don't have to go into a touchscreen to adjust the air vents...

I was looking forward for your take on the new Peugeot 308 of 2022.
I loved your past reviews on their models. Are you working on this one? I am interested on this car.
I have a 4 year old 80,000 km Model 3 performance on 18 inch wheels and Pirelli 4S. Most of its life is spent on autosteer on motorways but, rarely, I have a trip on an empty twisty drivers' road. The M3P is a real point to point weapon . Not brilliant on a track near the limit, but great on roads. It's extremely comfortable, very quiet, has a low centre of gravity, excellent traction and good handling. The lift-off regen braking is very well calibrated and tucks the nose in going into bends. The traction and torque coming out of bends is superb. Like most electric cars it excels going up hills. Rarely get the opportunity but this is a very good driver's car.
Would love to have a mix of the two cars...
Do a rerun of the dragrace with a stock TM3P.

Elon Musk has said before that he likes Porsche 911 cars, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the Model 3 shape is inspired by that classic Porsche shape.
2 of my favourite electric cars ever
What steering setting were you using? The sport steering option is the way to go. The comfort steering is MUCH worse.
What Skoda are they using as the front camera car?
15:00 Well that isn't a fair range calculation, now is it? 1500 miles as a review vehicle means this car was likely driven hard over a good chunk of its miles, and it has only been driven in colder weather. That model 3 has been driven over all seasons. I imagine most of the time it's driven gently with the initial luster of the acceleration wearing off.
@@SlayCore420 What a silly response. Are you actually whining that I pointed out a mistake in a review that will get hundreds of thousands of views ? lol. Weird, but ok.
The measurement was faulty. But the conclusion will be the same under real measurements. It's just physics, it's much heavier, less optimized drivetrain tech and has higher drag to make it look 'fast' and 'musculine'.
Richard Symons did a range test in similar conditions with both and the i4 genuinely did only do about 180 miles and the Model 3 Performance gets >220 in worst conditions
@@Maarten_vd I'm not saying the Tesla doesn't get more range, but claiming 18X miles based on average efficiency of a review vehicle that's only been used in the winter versus one with far more miles, with far more normal use, and that's been used in all seasons isn't exactly a fair statement.
@@shravansreekumar1608 The problem with the range tests with EVs is that they behave very differently, so spending a couple hours isn't indicative of actual achievable efficiency. Without hyper miling, many people with EVs end up having improved range after a week or 2 getting used to the regen and throttle response characteristics. I've had similar experience.

I wanted an bmw 3 with electric. This i4 hits the spot.
The generated noise in the bmw isn’t pointless. It makes the car safer for people who have sight disabilities, people who have awareness disabilities, people who are older and maybe less aware of electric cars (because cars always used to have an engine sound).
If I had a Tesla 3 I’d make it sound like a DB5 because it sort of looks like a DB5 from the back.
Both cars have exterior safety noise below 18mph: it's now a legal necessity. The Hanz Zimmer noise is for the CABIN. You don't hear it outside - the outside noise is different.
I couldn't decide between the i4 M50, Model 3 performance or e-tron GT Quattro. I decided to go for the e-tron GT! I personally think its gorgeous and the best looking EV on the market right now, the build quality is German and the mileage is perfect for me. Delivery next month!
it's the most expensive of all 3, it better be best right? in US that costs about as much as m3p + i4m50
I would stay away from all Audi EVs. They are light years behind the rest.
Yeah don't go for the tesla. You don't want to be known as a tesla driver.
@@AP13P isn't etron gt a cousin of taycan? That must mean it's pretty good... Considering taycan is a great car for people who don't go long distance (which honestly doesn't make sense in a sports car anyways)
Great video, would have preferred to have seen the Tesla up against the i4 edrive as opposed to M50 variation. As I know the efficiency is better with the edrive than M50.
Then you would match it against the Tesla Long Range, which has even better efficiency.
@@miguellopes6669it's closer than you might think.

@@10secondsrule Doesn't matter, BMW won't be able to make them at a decent price and with a decent margin.
Was getting in and out of the I4 easier than getting in and out of the model 3?
The noises the BMW makes are brilliant, I think that is the best part
You insist on that people won't use iDrive. I have wireless AA in my G21 and I very, very , very much prefer using iDrive. Especially when I need to use the nav, which is much better integrated into the dash and the HUD than AA.
Believe in JESUS today, confess and repent of your sins. No one goes to heaven for doing good but by believing in JESUS who died for our sins. GOD loves you soo much unconditionally.🤩❤😍🤗😄
Agree I use my idrive 6 even though it has apple car play. The avoidance of traffic jams is very good, also I send destinations to the car via the App.
Too many reviewers neglect the car infotainment when there's the option for AA and ACP, whish they'd atleast cover any strenghts and weaknesses for those that don't want to have to connect a phone.
Fully agree in my G20 & G21 I’ve had. I only used car play for audio purposes never for mapping.
I definitely felt a big Tesla fanboy vibe from Matt in this one because issues in the bmw weren’t a problem in the Tesla 🤔 he usually doesn’t do that but this time it was pretty evident.
Again in the ones I’ve had the voice commands work great.
I still prefer AA. I hate idrive and the interface feels so outdated in comparison.
22:05 The M3P is definitely faster than the i4 M50 from a standing start at traffic lights. This is probably due to the weight difference and, in this video, possibly also due to the dirtier left side of the road - the BMW starts much further to the left on the road. However, the i4 M50 seems to be generally superior at higher speeds. There are videos of the i4 M50 doing 100-200 km/h in about 8 seconds. The Model 3 Performance takes about 11 seconds to do this. The i4 M50 is also faster than the M3P at 0-200 km/h.
The Model 3 launches faster but the i4 has a higher top speed, as shown by the drag race they uploaded a couple of days ago
yeah BMW is probably more geared (and i literally mean the gear ratio) towards autobahn driving, rather than regular highway driving.
Hello what's the best way to get started with trade cos I've been making my personal research for a while now
incorrect. tesla 0-100 on 3.3 0-200 at 12.2 100-200 at 9 top speed faster than BMW. sorry boys. tesla has significantly better track times on the Nürnbergring Than BMW
The I4 is set up for the Autobahn
The only way forward with eV is tesla idea of wireless charging, which makes sense, you can either charge at home or a station or have wireless power topping you up as you drive on motorways and cities and towns
Thats a good way to waste energy
What about the hump in the centre of the rear seats? No feet room for the middle passenger.
No, you haven't done a decent drag race video between the Tesla model 3 Performance and the BMW. You used a modified model 3 with worse aerodynamics and added weight. I wonder why you could do a comparison review with the regular model 3 but did the drag race with the modified one.
Seeing them side by side I think I prefer the side profile of the Tesla ..... I better get down to Specsavers
Really? In my opinion that short bonnet looks terrible in comparison
Please do a head to head with the Range Rover 2022 and Mercedes GLS, BMW X7 or Rolls Cullian
Great review ! I must say that I had never heard of the term "Froot" and "Boot" must be a British thing. We call them "Frunk" and "Trunk" here in the US :)
Even though I love BMWs, its a fact to say that they haven't nailed the character of an EV. It looks tacked on and unfinished by sharing the M3 body. I really wish BMW commit 100% and make a good looking EV with all the characteristics of one.
I wish they made the i8 an ev super car!
Believe me, this i4 looks hot in real life
Bmw just can't get over this front grill, to the point they're willing to put it on an electric vehicle🤦♂️
there is n grill as Matt also said, it's just a design element, while Tesla keeps simple lines, Bmw went for their distinctive design. Plus sharing same platform with petrol engines it's obvious why they kept that.
@@MeandMe699 i know it's a design element in an EV 🤦♂️That's why i wrote the comment lol
@@Zenvo-uu9tm so.. an EV cannot have design elements? Sorry, I don't understand where is the issue.
@@MeandMe699 of course an EV can have design elements, my point is BMW don't have to strap this "very controversial" front grille design on their EVs, since the functionality of the grille is absent here, they have more room for differentiation
@@Zenvo-uu9tm well.. the grill is same representative as the lights, so is not something to easily get rid of. Also, theoretically, if the "grille" color was same as the whole body I guess will not be "very controversial" since will not be so visible. Anyhow, I personally don't see the issue, I prefer the Bmw overall design instead of Tesla.
What kind of Fold 3 case is this?
Is the voice recognition on the Tesla over internet like Google assistance?
The grill from the bmw looks a little bit strange for me, but it still a good car though
Good but not great.
The drag race was with a Tesla with aftermarket stuff fitted and that slowed it down, I know this because you have done a video where the Model 3P does the standing quarter in 11.6.
Yes, and in the US folks have done 11.4 many times as well. What is annoying is Carwow never discusses or shows the charge level of the EVs before the races...important, at least for most of them (not so much the Plaid for example; thing can do 9.9 in the 1/4 even at 20%!)
Great review Matt. One of your best in my opinion.
That little scream Matt did describes him very much 😂
I'm very surprised that Matt commented the brakes and the Tesla are better than the BMW.
Plaid is the only Tesla where the brakes feel underpowered for the amount of horsepower.
@@rdmz135 plaid have carbon ceramic option now … 25k .
I have been going back and too the last week over this decision and decided on the Tesla, purely because the Mrs has the iX3 electric and thought it would be better to have something completely different. Do love the i4 though. Had a 4 series years ago and loved it
How you getting on? I also own an iX3 M Sport Pro - amazing car - and used to own a 430d gran coupe. Didn't really like the exterior or interior of the Teslas, but times could change.
@@bodrulm1 absolutely love it, best car I have had. Fun to drive, fast, practical for a family and the media (plus sound system) is excellent on it too
I don’t understand a little, does BMW have some kind of sound similar to the sound of an engine?
Hmmm, with shared platform, so if the electric motor goes out, could we swap it with m4 engine?
Would be much more expensive than just replacing the motor but probably.
Finally the ev comparison that we have been all waiting for.
Literally, no one has been waiting for this Review, we already KNOW Tesla is Superior to EVERYTHING.
I’m trying to figure out which one of these cars I want to buy next and this really helped me out👍🏻
Great review!
Matt you always say you won’t use the built in sat nav, but how you love the heads up display.
Yet the heads up display nav doesn’t work with Apple or google, only with the built in nav. That’s the main reason I use my built in nav as I find the HUD directions brilliant
Apple Maps on Apple Car Play is now integrated into the HUD of newer BMW like the i4. But I also prefer the built in nav. :-)
@@FelixLDevelopment ah that’s good to know. Time to upgrade then I guess!
I still own my fully modded E46 330 zhp 6 speed, but traded my stage 2 m235i xdrive for a Model 3 LR. I hate to say as I am a car guy thru and thru but I absolutely love my LR and have not missed my m235 since the day I handed Tesla the keys.
M235 had KW coilovers, brakes, intake, intercooler and tune. The LR is just as quick if not quicker especially in mid range, except for over 100mph. Handles and brakes as well stock for stock but I will mod the suspension and brakes because I just always do.
I struggle most days to grab the E46 keys. The Tesla really is that good. But of course when I want to really get the raw driving feel I do go for the E46 keys :)
Tesla is shit are you a bot or what?
Same here. Traded my F80 M3 for Model 3. Tesla is so much more fun than the BMW. Had the Tesla over 2 years now and still look forward to driving it.
Tesla fanboys
Sounds sus. You bought two weekend cars, made track-tuned upgrades, and then not happy it’s not a smooth daily driver like a Model 3 LR?? LOL.
@@lilpold9192 doubt he’s a bot if his account has existed since may of 2012
Good overall summary, I tried the i4 40 and the pedals felt very badly modulated compared to Model 3, glad to hear you felt that same
Yeah but model 3 is cheaply made plus it looks like an alien spaceship.
@@EVILDEAD-rr9do mine was just as well built as my previous car, BMW 330 (got it brand new)
The build quality issues are no longer a thing in reality
@@cokyrobes I test-drove both cars. I prefer the BMW. I totally agree that Tesla's software is the best but I don't see it as a luxury vehicle. No one looks at it and says wow, you got a tesla. So many EV's out now and so much better looking.
@@EVILDEAD-rr9do Looks are subjective of course - so each to their own. I think the BMWs are mega ugly now (I loved my 2016 330). They also look the same as the ICE versions which I don't like personally. In terms of raw stats/capabilities the Tesla wins on nearly every metric. But people buy cars for many reasons and sometimes heart wins over head which is fair enough. Spending more time looking for working/available charger isn't something I want to experience - so Tesla only for a while yet!
Wow , people around the roundabout must think he’s lost it 🤣🤣
I'd definitely buy the i4 and glue googly eyes to the marvelous front grill.
