I'm glad to hear you got the galvo working. It was a major game changer for us. Most of our tumbler work is two sided, and the galvo drops the engrave time from 8 minutes per tumbler in the gantry to under two minutes per unit. That's quite a time saver when an order can be 500+ units. I went with 60 watt and usually run my tumblers at 60 to 65 percent power. I'm using a 300mm lens and an 80cm tower, and am able to get about 2.75" (70mm) width or a bit more on most styles of drinkware. We have also migrated all of our other CO2 engraved products to galvo using jigs, as the production time is just so much faster.
We have the same laser but have to use EZcad Lite because i cant get any power out of lightburn even with corfile but marks fine on EZCad. Can. you share the gear tab settings and speed? Thanks
I just got my laser! Same model as yours and honestly am struggling with speed and power. Any suggestions? I set it up using the config file on Garen’s USB drive but something is definitely still off. a lot of browning round engravings and the negative space within letters like e that doesn’t get engraved is definitely discolored
There is not enough information to help. Speed and power depends on the material and it's just a matter of playing with it until it's right. Join the Facebook group and there can be more of a conversation to help.
UA-cam might be having trouble linking in because I just changed the DNS path. You may need to manually type it until they propagate properly www.timetomakesomething.com/my-lasers
Every machine and tumbler will be different. We keep adjusting the settings every day to try and make it better and better. We have currently damaged about 20 tumblers trying to get the settings right.
now im interested in galvos!!

Would you share you speed and power for tumblers?

Hey! I’m just getting mine set up for Tumbers but I notice there’s frequency in Lightburn, what frequency are you using?
Just leave it at 20
I need a laser - I want to expand to add pens and tumblers in house.

Do you recommend Pi Burn for a rotary? Looking at options now.
Is this for a gantry laser? Pi Burn is a nice rotary, but for the money I really like the Mansfield Customs - ua-cam.com/video/E48BgAUlIls/v-deo.html
@timetomakesomething does Garen have a new contact info
Question, is your co2 galvo a fiber laser and are fiber lasers co2 lasers?
CO2 and fiber are different types of lasers.
When will you be selling the templates?
I just released them today - printfam.timetomakesomething.com/jigs
@@ttms looks like the store is down - I cannot access it.
Engraving tumblers on the SlowForge only takes... A sledgehammer. :D
Just cut the bottom out
@@ttms Which would work great if there was cylinder correction built into their training wheels software.
Why not get a rotary?
Why did you buy a co2 galvo for tumblers instead of a fiber galvo for tumblers?
Because the fiber lasers are made to mark metal. While you can remove powder coating with them, they are not the right tool for the job.
The yawns are back!! Knew I could count on at least 1..........................................................🤣😂🤣
your link to Caren isn't working

the link to Caren is not working even when typed manually@@ttms
Willing to share your settings and what location on the tumbler you used to set the focus for cylinder correction?

You look like your in your own way, man comb your hair at least.
I am in my own way, and that's ok. I do comb my hair, I'm just going bald. Sad, but it happens.
Lol I beat you to the balding get some sleep
